This is the cleanest 67 Cadi you will find close to this price range ANYWHERE. 1967 Cadillac Calais in excellent condition throughout. Vehicle is in amazing condition and is a real head turner. The exterior has a brilliant "Baroque Gold" factory finish, a light green/gold depending on the light. Exterior has no rust and only few minor scratches etc but appears totally clean to any passerby. No major accidents, bondo or anything like that. All chrome is intact and in excellent shape as are the bumpers and rest of exterior. No real rust, dents, accidents, as strait and original as you will find. 52,000 original miles and is ready to be driven anywhere. Loaded with all of the options of the era: AC, power windows, seats and they are all in good working order. Have had the vehicle past four summers and have replaced master cylinder, alternator, regulator, water pump, hoses, belts,starter, battery, frequent oil changes and maintanence. Has strong original 429 engine and the transmission shifts strong and smooth. Replaced tires this summer which only have about 1000 miles on them now and replaced weatherstripping inside door jams with deluxe kit. Car is undercoated and is as solid as will find underneath. Stored in climate controlled garage every winter and used as daily driver during summer. Ive put about 10,000 miles on it over past four summers. Interior is pristine. Absolutely no tears or rips or stains to seats, headliners etc. Dashboard and carpet in excellent condition. The interior is a beautiful two-tone cloth and leather combination. Serious inquiries only as this car is the real deal. Hate to part with it but moving and will no longer have proper storage. NHTSA approves hybrid rearview mirror display in Cadillac CT6, Bolt EV
Tue, Feb 23 2016The Chevy Bolt EV prototype doesn't just have a fancy new all-electric powertrain. Just outside the driver's line of sight is a newfangled rearview mirror, one that can turn into a screen that shows a moving image from the rear-facing camera. Speaking to NPR's Robert Siegel yesterday, Department of Transportation secretary Anthony Foxx said that NHTSA has now approved this type of mirror/screen for use in vehicles. According to a letter from NHTSA to General Motors, GM will likely use this Full Display Mirror first in the 2016 Cadillac CT6 before coming to the Bolt. In its letter to GM, NHTSA said that the Full Display Mirror will only qualify as a standard rearview mirror as long as there are normal side mirrors in place. The FDM debuted in 2014 and some people hoped it would also make its way into the Tesla Model X. Gentex, which also makes auto-dimming mirrors, says that it has "set out to develop the technologies and core competencies necessary to manage this evolution of the rearview mirror." The Chevy Bolt EV will start at $37,500, before incentives. The 200-mile EV will go into production late this year for likely sale in early 2017. Related Video:
Cadillac CTS-V gets Stealth Blue and Silver Frost limited edition models
Fri, 15 Feb 2013A little more than a year and a half ago, former weekend editor Alex Nunez and I were talking about how sweet it would be for Cadillac to offer a CTS-V in the Corvette's Supersonic Blue paint, and as if General Motors eavesdropped on our conversation, this showed up. And while the Stealth Blue car you see here isn't an exact duplicate of the hot-looking sedan GM showed off in prototype form, it's really close. And really sweet.
New for 2013, the Cadillac CTS range gets two new colorful editions, starting with the Stealth Blue package available on the CTS-V (in sedan, coupe and wagon bodystyles) as well as the naturally aspirated CTS coupe. In addition to the unique paint, blacked-out grille and dark satin wheels, Stealth Blue cars can also be done up with an optional Twilight Blue leather interior. (And you thought blue-on-blue color schemes died in the '90s.)
Cadillac is also offering a new Silver Frost package, but it's a bit more exclusive. Only 100 examples will be built, all in CTS-V Coupe form. The Silver Frost paint is a low-gloss matte finish, in that while it technically has a clearcoat covering, it's reduced in a way that the surface still appears flatter than standard paint. Even so, Cadillac states that the car should be hand-washed only.
Cadillac Ciel concept features in Entourage trailer
Wed, Dec 24 2014Some of us may miss HBO's Entourage more than others, but one way or another, it sure had some cool cars. The characters on the show were constantly trading between Astons, Maseratis and Ferraris – not to mention a smattering of Benzes and Escalades – but one of our favorite sets of wheels from the show's entire eight-year run was the 1965 Lincoln Continental featured in the opening credits. The vintage parade car undoubtedly provided the studio with a great way to showcase the camaraderie between the four members of the title crew, but also made us pine for a time when you could actually get your hands on a four-door convertible. Unfortunately they just don't make 'em like that anymore – not the car and not the TV show in which it featured – but fans of both will be pleased to watch this latest trailer for the upcoming Entourage movie. Not only does it include all the members of the original cast, but it also features Detroit's latest (and arguably most stylish) attempt at reviving the four-door cabriolet: the commandingly elegant and achingly desirable but sadly unobtainable Cadillac Ciel concept of 2011.
