1966 Cadillac DeVille 2-Door Convertible

You are not only looking at a piece of history from 1966, but you are looking at a show car! It does not get any better than this. This is a fully restored SEMA and DUB show car. This car is known all around the world for its unique look and rare qualities. It is very hard to even find parts for a car like this, let alone, a fully restored complete car such as the one you are reading about today. This Cadillac has been completely rebuilt from the ground up by some of the best car builders in the world. The car is about as rare as it gets, and to add to that, it has been signed by Barry Maguire himself on the inner passenger side fender. There was absolutely no expenses spared in this build. You cannot pull this car out of the driveway without someone stopping to take pictures of the car. It is a true show car that will get unbelievable amounts of attention anywhere it is taken.

Below is a list of what makes this show car such a desirable piece:

-         CLEAN AND CLEAR TITLE IN HAND (VIN F6241298)

-         ORIGINAL 1 OWNER CAR

-         Very rare two door convertible

-         Custom made purple matching top

-         94,000 miles on body and frame

-         429 BIG BLOCK motor

-         Motor dress up kit

-         Aluminum radiator

-         Signed by Barry Maguire (pictured)

-         House of Color Pavo Purple Paint

-         Shaved doors (no poppers)

-         Dual air compressors

-         2,600lb air bags in the front

-         2,500lb air bags in the rear

-         Gray custom leather interior

-         Suede on dash, door panels, and kick panels

-         7” Flip out Pioneer DVD player head unit

-         Custom 22” Centerline Smoothie Wheels

-         New Toyo Tires (less than 100 miles)

-         Gray carpet in trunk

-         Runs and Drives GREAT!

-         New battery

-         Clear distributor cap

-         2011 SEMA SHOW CAR

-         2011 DUB SHOW CAR

-         Has been featured on Car Crazy TV show

-         Photo shoot for Grounded Magazine on 10/25/2013

-         Rear C-Notch

-         Power seats

I’m sure I am forgetting some things as the list of what this car includes goes on and on. Needless to say, this car speaks for its self. It is show car quality with minimal flaws. The small, but “need to know” flaws are listed below:

-         Passenger side window does not roll down/up (needs motor)

-         Hairline crack in drivers side exhaust manifold (have pictures)

-         Some small signs of surface rust on vent windows (have pictures)

-         Missing the “pedal” part of the gas pedal (does not affect how the car runs and drives)

-         AC, heat, and windshield wipers are not hooked up (this is a show car, so there is no need for them)

With that said, you are being given the chance to own this show piece of history at a fraction of the cost to build one identical to this. This is truly a ONE-OF-A-KIND car all the way around. It is an eye catcher from miles away! There is no other car like it and will be by far the coolest car you have ever owned!

Please, keep in mind this vehicle is considered an antique. You absolutely must see it in person to appreciate it! There will be absolutely no test drives without cash in hand. I will not haul nor drive the truck for you to decide if you like it or not. You are the buyer; therefore, you are responsible for all parts on your end of the sale (i.e. shipping, title transfer, registration, insurance, inspection, and so on).

2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing will get carbon fiber seat backs

Wed, Sep 30 2020

Cadillac is putting the finishing touches on the 2022 CT5-V Blackwing, the high-performance sedan that will pick up where the CTS-V left off. It announced the model will be available with carbon fiber front seat backs. Presumably found on the list of extra-cost options, the weight-saving carbon fiber seat backs will stand out with a book-matched design and a laser-etched V-Series logo that will remind the passengers sitting in the back that they're not riding in a regular CT5-V. Interestingly, Cadillac noted the seats will also boast "other customer-centric innovations and features" that will be detailed closer to the sedan's on-sale date. Chairs are hardly on the front lines of automotive innovation, so we're looking forward to learning more about what Cadillac has in store. Drivers will have carbon fiber in front of them, too, because the multi-function steering wheel's bottom spokes will be made with the composite material. Cadillac hinted the sedan's top speed will lie in the vicinity of 200 mph. 2021 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing spied View 15 Photos Nearly everything else we know about the CT5-V Blackwing comes from a diverse selection of rumors, industry murmurings, and spy shots. We learned earlier in 2020 that it might receive an updated version of the 6.2-liter V8 that powered its predecessor, not the 4.2-liter Blackwing engine it's named after, and leaked images strongly suggest a manual transmission will be available, though we assume Cadillac will also offer an automatic. It might be a six-speed stick, or Cadillac could use a version of the Chevrolet Corvette's seven-speed manual. Our questions will be answered when the 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing finally makes its debut. It's scheduled to go on sale in the summer of 2021, so its unveiling is likely a couple of weeks away, and Cadillac warned availability will be limited. The smaller CT4 which replaced the ATS, is also in line to get the Blackwing treatment.

Cadillac cancels sponsorship of Trump's PGA event

Thu, Jun 2 2016

Cadillac has ended its sponsorship of the PGA's World Golf Championship, which has incited a response from Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee. Without the automaker's money to run the event at a property owned by Trump in Miami, the PGA announced it will move the WGC to Mexico City. Trump responded by saying, "Cadillac's been a great sponsor, but they're moving it to Mexico. They're moving it to Mexico City which, by the way, I hope they have kidnapping insurance. They're moving it to Mexico City. And I'm saying, you know, what's going on here? It is so sad when you look at what's going on with our country." In 2010, the PGA announced a multi-year deal with Cadillac to sponsor the WGC, starting in 2011. Since 2007, the event has been held at what is now known as the Trump National Doral Miami location. Trump took ownership of the property in 2012. Cadillac issued a statement to Autoblog that says: "We are proud to have been the title sponsor of the World Golf Championships-Cadillac Championship since 2011. We have made the decision, however, not to extend our sponsorship beyond this year. We thank the PGA TOUR for a great six years with the Cadillac Championship." Chip Foose is bringing life to a Cadillac sketch from 1935

Sun, Aug 7 2016

General Motors, automotive home of Harley Earl, was a pioneer in the early days of car design. But for as many wild concept cars and even production cars as the company's studio created, there were still many that never got off the paper. Chip Foose is working to change the fate of one of those designs. According to Foose Design, Chip Foose's latest project is based on a sketch from 1935. Car dealer Wes Rydell and his wife Vivian commissioned a custom Cadillac coupe that was sketched out by GM designer Art Ross. It would take an existing Cadillac sedan, shorten it, lower it and give it a removable hardtop. The drawing is as far as the project got. Now Chip Foose is working on realizing the design in real life using a 1939 Cadillac Series 60 Sedan. He plans to follow the initial design brief, but with his own unique touches. He has also named the project "Madam X" in honor of what Harley Earl would call client projects. It is scheduled to be finished and ready for unveiling at the end of the summer. Foose is a well-known designer who has won some of America's most prestigious custom car awards such as the Ridler Award and designed vehicles for the TV show Overhaulin'. The final product should be quite a striking machine. You can see how it's coming along, as well as Foose's sketch of what the car will finally look like, in the gallery above.
