FOR SALE IS A 1966 CADILLAC 2 DOOR COUPE DE VILLE! PERHAPS THE BEST DEAL ON EBAY WHEN FIGURED BY POUNDS OF CAR PER DOLLAR! MAKE NO MISTAKE THIS IS A BIIIIGGG VEHICLE! 18 FEET LONG AND A LITTLE OVER 6 FEET WIDE TO BE EXACT! This car has original paint and the original interior. All the glass is there and is believed to be original as well. The front windshield has a small crack on the PASSENGER side on the OUTSIDE of the glass. So it does not interfere with driving vision. There is no fogging on the glass..which is rare with a vehicle this old. All the lights are good. This car was made with a very cool feature in which the turn signal indicators are on the front fenders. They work fine as well as the headlights and tail lights. The radio has power but just comes through as static. The power seat does not work but clicks. The odometer reads 16000 miles...but we believe this to be inaccurate and 116k to be the actual miles. The interior is pretty roomy as you can imagine. You could easily road trip across the country and never need a hotel for a bed to sleep in! But seriously..this car is VERY roomy. You can play paper football in it. Headliner and door panels are good, carpet appears to be original. This car runs and drives smooth...will start right up and purrs like a kitten once it is started. I was startled by how quiet it is. This car shifts well and has 340 horses to coast it along. It has all new brakes and brake lines to stop the momentum. The caddy is fairly solid all around save a few surface rust spots (It has lived in Ohio after all) The most egregious rust is on the drivers side rear quarter panel. This panel is also a little loose. Floors and trunk are solid. This is on the rare side as it is a 2 door and would look FANTASTIC with 20 inch wheels and a candy paint job..OR restored to original condition. But as is it will drive you where you need to go and will make you look good while doing it. All in all this is a car that will grow on you the more you see it and ride in it. Reliable and roomy and will get you where you need to go. I am selling this car FOR a dealership called Coachworks Upon auctions end buyer has 24 hours to make deposit of $500.00 via paypal, credit or debit card or cash in person. I will contact you immediately by email and through Ebay and leave a number for you to call if you have any questions. Car is sold 100% AS-IS! WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO HAVE SOMEONE YOU KNOW OR YOU TO COME LOOK AT THE CAR AND CHECK IT OUT BEFORE BIDDING! IF YOU HAVE UNDER 5 FEEDBACK YOU WILL NEED TO SEND ME A MESSAGE FIRST!!! I HAVE HAD ISSUES IN THE PAST WITH PEOPLE WITH ZERO FEEDBACK FLAKING AFTER A BUY! PLEASE MESSAGE ME FIRST! After deposit is received buyer will have 7 days to pay the remainder of the balance via the aforementioned ways. I apologize but we can no longer accept wire transfers or personal checks. Cadillac CT6 beefs up with 400-hp twin-turbo V6
Fri, Mar 20 2015Cadillac's engine lineup is set to get a makeover led by the potent powerplants under the hood of the CT6. Our man Steven Ewing is onsite at an event in Detroit reporting all the details. Here's what we know so far: The CT6's top engine will be a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6. It's the first twin-turbo with cylinder deactivation, which essentially makes the V6 able to convert to a V4 unit. Power will be 400 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and 400 pound-feet of torque at just 2,500 rpm. No word on what a potential CT6-V would get. The CT6 will also have a naturally aspirated V6 that Cadillac is claiming to be all-new. It's rated at 335 hp at 6,800 rpm and 284 lb-ft at 5,300 rpm. That's an improvement of 14 hp and nine lb-ft compared with today's 3.6-liter V6, and fuel economy increases nine percent. Cadillac says it's the highest output for a naturally aspirated V6 that's SAE-certified and runs on regular fuel. Both of these V6s will have stop/start technology and will be paired to with eight-speed automatic transmissions. The 3.6-liter V6 will also be used in the 2016 CTS and the 2016 ATS. Meanwhile, Ewing reports that Cadillac says the ATS-V is actually more powerful than initially announced, though there are no numbers to flesh that claim out as yet. The brand also plans to offer four- and six-cylinder diesel engines in various vehicles and new V8 options. The CT6 bows at the New York Auto Show. It will use an aluminum-intensive body that reduces weight by 198 pounds compared with a steel setup and continues Cadillac's creased design language used on the CTS and ATS models. The CT6 goes into production late this year in Detroit. It leverages the latest technology to balance efficiency, performance and refinement in the upcoming, top-of-the-range CT6 luxury performance sedan. The all-new Cadillac 3.0L Twin Turbo is designed to achieve new thresholds of refinement and specific output for the brand's new prestige luxury sedan, which makes its world premiere March 31, at the New York International Auto Show. Production begins late this year at General Motors' Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly Plant.
Opel director Sedran to succeed Docherty as Chevy Europe boss
Wed, 26 Jun 2013When longtime General Motors executive Susan Docherty announced she would be stepping down from her post as the head of Chevrolet and Cadillac in Europe, there was some idle chatter that plans for the creation of a new global overseer position for the Bowtie brand was behind the move. And while US sales chief Alan Batey has indeed assumed control of Chevy worldwide since her departure announcement, Docherty's vacancy is being filled after all, with Opel chief strategist Thomas Sedran taking up the reins.
That's according to Automotive News, who reports that Sedran will be tasked with pulling Chevy out of a sales funk, much of it pegged on Europe's stagnant auto industry, which has sunk to a 20-year low. AN notes that Chevy's EU sales plunged 32 percent to 57,584 units through the first five months of 2013, but the everyday value brand is faring worlds better than Cadillac, which has sold just 167 units in Europe over the same time period.
Sedran, 48, has been in the auto industry for over 20 years. Most recently, at Opel he had been working on long-term plans for the marque, and was appointed to the brand's management board in April of last year. Prior to joining GM, Sedran was employed as a management consultant for AlixPartners, where he worked closely with Opel for six years. Sedran will assume his new duties beginning July 1.
Cadillac to add small sedan, crossover as part of major product blitz
Tue, Jan 13 2015Cadillac will add a small sedan and a compact crossover to its lineup in the next several years as part of an ambitious product blitz that will remake its lineup. The sedan will slot below the ATS, which is currently Cadillac's smallest four-door car. It's scheduled to arrive in 2017, Cadillac president Johan de Nysschen told Autoblog at the Detroit Auto Show. The sedan will be followed late that year or in early 2018 by a compact crossover, which will be positioned below the SRX. The crucial redesign of the SRX – Cadillac's top seller – arrives in 2016. It will switch to the brand's new naming system and change to an "XT" prefix followed by a number. The naming scheme debuts on the CT6, which launches in late 2015 and will be positioned above the CTS and XTS sedans. Cadillac also wants to add another crossover that sits between the SRX and its flagship SUV, the Escalade, at some point. Further out, Cadillac's long-awaited Mercedes-Benz S-Class fighter could arrive around 2020, and it would serve as the flagship or "showcase of the brand," de Nysschen said. Cadillac is also looking to expand its powertrain portfolio and is contemplating a wide range of options, including hybrids, plug-in electric vehicles and diesel engines. The new cars and crossovers are part of a $12-billion investment in Cadillac, which de Nysschen described as "an unheard level of capital" from General Motors. In total, the brand will receive eight new products through 2020. "Our product offensive will provide the substance for our ambitions," he said. De Nysschen has set high goals – and made major changes – at Cadillac since he took over the 113-year-old luxury brand in September. The brand moves to a separate headquarters in New York this year, away from GM's base in Detroit, and it has switched advertising agencies in a bid to elevate its image. Cadillac's sales declined 6.5 percent in the United States in 2014 to 170,750 units, and it has the smallest volume of GM's four brands. "Here in the US we continue to make progress, but we also face challenges," de Nysschen said. He added the brand's lineup "clearly limits our growth opportunities in the US market." Still, de Nysschen is taking the long view for Cadillac, noting it took years to turn around Audi, where he was president of its US operations for eight years. Cadillac's global sales have inched up five percent globally this year, spurred by a 47-percent surge in China.
