1964 Cadillac Sedan Deville 117,770 Original Miles 1997 3rd Place Trophy Winner on 2040-cars
Greensboro, North Carolina, United States
Nice 50 Year old Cruiser. This car is out of my collection. I started restoration on this car many years ago. It was a "restore as you drive" daily driver. It got as far as taking a third place trophy in a car show (in the late 90's) and that was where I stopped. I worked on the mechanicals first. I installed a custom stainless steel dual exhaust system with turbo mufflers. I rebuilt the front end replacing whatever the car needed with Moog or equivalent parts. I replaced all the dim dash lights with fresh lights. Now the dash lights up pretty and bright at night. I wet sanded the paint to the shine back. I added the lower body fender/rocker/quarter panel mouldings to the car (I had to custom fabricate the clips myself). I replaced as many brake parts as I could find. I got the A/C recharged with R-12 Freon. (I am not sure if the A/C still has a charge or not). I replaced the Starter and recently put a 1000amp battery in the car. Then I moved and garaged the car and it has been sitting for 7 years now. While sitting in the garage, the carbuerator went bad. I occasionally start it, but I need the spot in my garage for another collector car that I bought. This car can be brought back to excellent condition with little effort. Or, you can do as I did and use it as a daily driver and have fun! This is a head turner even in it's present condition. You just don't see too many of these cars with straight bodies driving around anymore. This car was driven an average of about 2350 miles a year over it's 50 year life. I want it to go to a good home and to someone who really likes 1964 Cadillacs like I do. This was the last year of the tailfin. I call this model the "baby fin". A true and timeless design classic. Ask me any questions you may have and please feel free to come see the car in person.

2014 Cadillac CTS Vsport [w/video]
Mon, 16 Sep 2013Bridging The Gap With Power And Poise
As you read these words, West Coast Editor Michael Harley is preparing to drive the brand-new 2014 Cadillac CTS along the gorgeous, sun-drenched roads of Southern California. And while I'll wait for Harley's full report before I put words in his mouth, I'm willing to bet he enjoys the hell out of Cadillac's new CTS. In fact, I'm sure of it.
I say this with confidence because, about a month ago, I spent the better part of a day flogging the new CTS Vsport around the 2.9-mile Milford Road Course - a challenging circuit laid out in the infield of an oval test track at GM's proving grounds in southeast Michigan. The MRC was built about a decade ago after Bob Lutz was lured out of retirement to work closely with GM's product development team, and thus, this circuit is known informally as the "Lutz Ring." The main objective of the MRC was to have an in-house facility for engineers to fine-tune vehicle dynamics, without having to constantly schlep cars over to Germany's infamous Nürburgring. (Of course, they still do.)
The Beast 2.0: What the 2016 presidential election winner will ride in
Thu, Aug 11 2016The current presidential limousine, which is referred to as "The Beast," will be altered for the next President of the United States. Our photographers managed to capture the vehicle testing. " The Beast 2.0" will follow closely behind the current presidential limousine that's built upon a rugged commercial truck chassis and has a sedan-like body. Instead of wearing styling details from the now-retired Cadillac STS, the new presidential limo appears to borrow looks from the latest Escalade and the CT6 sedan. The bomb-proof prototype is wearing LED headlights, has a more angular grille that features Cadillac's wreathless crest, and ditches regular antennas for a shark fin unit. Other than these changes, the Beast 2.0 should still be able to house seven passengers and have enough protection to be one of the safest vehicles on the planet. The prototype looks like it's higher off the ground, as well, which should help the next president to avoid an embarrassing moment. There's no word on whether the Beast 2.0 will be ready in time for the next president presidential inauguration in January, but our photographers report that GM recently stepped up its testing for the limousine at its Milford Proving Grounds. Chrysler, Nissan looking into claim that their cars are industry's most hackable
Sun, 10 Aug 2014A pair of cyber security experts have awarded the ignominious title of most hackable vehicles on American roads to the 2014 Jeep Cherokee, 2014 Infiniti Q50 and 2015 Cadillac Escalade.
Charlie Miller and Chris Valasek are set to release a report at the Black Hat hacking conference in Las Vegas, Automotive News reports. The two men found the Jeep, Caddy and Q50 were easiest to hack based not on actual tests with the vehicles, but a detailed analysis of systems like Bluetooth and wireless internet access - basically, anything that'd allow a hacker to remotely gain access to the vehicle's systems.
Considering this lack of hands-on testing, the pair acknowledge that "most hackable" could be a relative term - they point out that the vehicles may actually be quite secure.
