Elk River, Minnesota, United States
Engine:429
Drive Type: Auto
Make: Cadillac
Mileage: 150,850
Model: DeVille
Sub Model: Deville Series 62
Trim: Series 62
It is a 1964 Cadillac Series 62. This is an unusal car because the series 62 was a low option cadillac. (Read; less things to have to repair). The options are power steering and brakes. This car has had the same owner for many years. It originally came from Arkansas so it's clean and dry underneath. It has never been driven in a MN winter and has been garage kept. The dash pad is not cracked and the seats and carpeting are original and in acceptable condition. The front seat has some wear in the center areas. The body is in nice repair and has some rust areas that can be seen in the pictures. There are some dents on the roof and fender that I also tried to show in pictures.
This is the first year for the 429 engine in the Cadillac. The engine has approx. 25,000 miles on a rebuild and the transmission has less than 10k miles since it was rebuilt. The transmission is a Turbo 400 three speed automatic transmission. The car has a good amount of performance when driving.
The brakes were all freshened including new wheel cylinders a few years ago. The car glides nicely down the road. The wide white tires are bias ply and have a substantial amount of weather checking. It would be wise to replace them with some radial tires for an improved ride.
The radio, speedometer, gauges, blinkers lights etc. are in working order, even the fender mounted blinkers work. This is a very cool car to drive and own. It recieves a lot of respect and admiration by passers by. It is in very good repair for it's age and with a little TLC it could be good as new.
These are hard to find and very valuable. Call to make an appointment and check it out. 612-282-8793 thanks for looking.

Mercedes leads in US luxury car thefts
Wed, 31 Jul 2013Mercedes-Benz makes some fine automobiles. The Silver Arrow'd cars are so good, apparently, that thieves can't help but try to steal them. The German brand is at the top of the charts for luxury car thefts in the US, according to the National Insurance Crime Bureau, with New York City leading the way. (And those New Yorkers complain about Detroit being bad!)
The C-Class was the most stolen model, with 485 ganked between 2009 and 2012 in NYC alone, while the E-Class and S-Class (which also boasted the worst recovery rate, at 59 percent) both finished in the top ten. Following the C-Class was the BMW 3 Series and Infiniti G. Not surprisingly, each of these were the most common models in their respective lineups. Los Angeles and Miami are also prime hotspots for luxury car thefts, according to the Detroit News report.
While getting your car stolen is pretty awful, there was one inspiring statistic compiled by the NICB - the average recovery rate across the board was 84 percent, with the Cadillac CTS getting recovered 91 percent of the time.
Cadillac ATS coupe and sedan get Midnight Editions
Sun, Jul 19 2015Horror stories and fairy tales make a mint by having the scariest things happen at midnight, but automakers make a mint by marketing midnight. Chevrolet busted out a Silverado Midnight Edition early this year, followed shortly thereafter by an Impala Midnight Edition. In between those two we got the Cadillac CTS Midnight Edition, and now comes an ATS following in the zero-dark-thirty tradition, according to GM Inside News. The ATS Midnight Edition will add $1,695 to the sedan price and $600 to the coupe. For that cash outlay you get black chrome on the grille, around the windows, and on the rear fascia, 18-inch "After Midnight" wheels, "sueded microfiber" trim on the steering wheel and shifter, plus the Cold Weather Package with a heated steering wheel and heated front seats. Just those few exterior changes make a big difference up front, increasing the appeal and aggression of the sports sedan without being ostentatious. You can't go dark with just any old ATS, though. The package is limited to rear- and all-wheel-drive versions of the Performance trim. And the color palette is reduced to four hues: Crystal White Tricoat, Red Obsession Tintcoat, Phantom Gray Metallic, and Black Raven. The three possible interior combos are Light Platinum with Jet Black accents, Morello Red with Jet Black accents, and Jet Black with Jet Black accents. Cadillac tipped to call flagship something other than LTS
Sun, 21 Sep 2014Cadillac wouldn't be Cadillac without large sedans in its lineup, and while the XTS has had to hold down that end of the fort all on its own, it won't have to for too long. That's because the luxury brand in the General Motors portfolio is preparing to roll out its new LTS, stylistically previewed by the Elmiraj concept pictured above. Only now, the latest thinking is that the upcoming flagship model may not be called LTS at all.
As Automotive News points out, Cadillac's naming scheme is all over the place at the moment. The ATS slotting below the CTS makes sense (alphabetically), but where do the ELR, SRX and especially the Escalade fit into that naming hierarchy? And how would LTS - as the project has been known until now - sit above the XTS?
Fortunately, Cadillac may be on the case, as two of the division's most recent senior appointments seem keen to rationalize the naming scheme. One is Uwe Ellinghaus, who joined Cadillac as chief marketing officer late last year. Speaking of the brand's nomenclature last spring, Ellinghaus was quoted as saying, "We are aware that this is currently a weakness of the Cadillac brand." And his new boss is bound to agree.
