SO WHILE THE BODY IS VERY STRAIGHT AND RUST FREE, IT DESERVES A GREAT PAINT JOB OR YOU CAN DRIVE IT AS IS AND NOT WORRY ABOUT PARKING LOT DINGS. THE BODY PANELS FIT EXCELLENT AS THIS CAR HAS NOT BEEN APART. THE DOORS OPEN AND SHUT TIGHT WITH NO SAGGING. THE CHROME IS IN FAIR CONDITION FOR OVER 50 YEARS. THE STAINLESS IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION (ALL ORIGINAL). ALL WINDOWS, POWER TOP, POWER ANTENNA WORK. RADIO COMES ON BUT DOES NOT WORK. POWER SEAT MOTOR WORKS, BUT SEAT DOESN'T ADJUST. DASH AND DOOR PANELS ARE IN GREAT CONDITION. THE CARPET IS WORN BUT NOT TO FLOOR. THE ORIGINAL LEATHER NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. THIS CAR DRIVES STRAIGHT, SMOOTH AND RUNS LIKE NEW WITH LESS THAN 1600 MILES ON THE COMPLETE REBUILD. THE ORIGINAL CARB COMES WITH THE CAR, BUT IT IS NOW RUNNING AN EDELBROCK. THE GLASS IS ALL IN GREAT SHAPE. THE TOP IS IN GOOD CONDITION. THE ZIP IN PLASTIC REAR WINDOW NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. THE BLACK PLATES ON THIS CAR ARE THE ORIGINALS TO THE CAR AS WELL AS REGISTRATIONS FROM THE EARLY 70'S. IN 2004 WHEN THE CAR WAS PLACED BACK INTO SERVICE, NEW PLATES WERE ISSUED AND THE CAR IS CURRENTLY REGISTERED WITH NEWER PLATES. THE ORIGINAL BLACK PLATES CAN BE REGISTERED WITH THIS CAR IN CALIFORNIA BECAUSE OF PROOF (ORIGINAL REGISTRATION CARDS) OF REGISTRATION. Cadillac XT5 platform to underpin three-row crossover

Cadillac just launched the XT5 crossover to replace the SRX. But that's only the start. Speaking with Automotive News, Caddy president Johan de Nysschen confirmed that a new three-row crossover is also on the way. The seven-seater is based on a stretched version of the flexible platform underpinning the XT5, which we just drove recently. Taking that approach will give the luxury brand a larger crossover to pit against the likes of the Infiniti QX60, Audi Q7, and Volvo XC90 without having to develop one from scratch. It will also give buyers a more car-like alternative to the larger, truck-based Escalade. "It's one of the benefits of having this very flexible architecture. We can expand it, make it longer and wider. That gives us the ability to develop the car very quickly, as opposed to starting from scratch," de Nysschen told AN. "It's not running yet. It is a program request that we initiated with the engineers only last year. They are working at remarkable, record-breaking speed to get us the car." The new model would likely be called the XT7 and offer similar levels of equipment to the existing, smaller XT5. The existing mid-size model packs a 3.6-liter V6 mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and comes in four trim levels. Related Video:

Hotter Cadillac ATS-V+ could use LS7 power

Rumor has it Cadillac is working on an even hotter version of the ATS-V, possibly called ATS-V+. And the latest intel from Motor Trend suggests this new model might have a great, big V8 under the hood. The V8 in question is the high-revving, naturally aspirated 7.0-liter LS7 from the Camaro Z/28. The hand-built engine makes 505 horsepower and 481 pound-feet of torque in the Z/28 – a nice increase over the 464 hp and 445 lb-ft in the standard ATS-V, which uses a twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter V6. Motor Trend says the ATS-V+ will come to market with an eight-speed automatic transmission, as well as the seven-speed manual 'box from the Corvette. A dual-clutch transmission will come to market later. Of course, we'll believe it when we see it. But an LS7-powered ATS-V sure sounds like a great package to us. Here's hoping.

2020 Cadillac CT5 loses the fake scoop

Well folks, the inevitable has happened. The 2020 Cadillac CT5 luxury sports sedan prototype has shed its hood scoop. Yes, we're as disappointed as you are that instead of being outrageous and brash, Cadillac is still going to try to be classy, understated and luxurious when it comes to its mainline models. And yes, we're being sarcastic here ... but there's a part of us that would kind of like to see the scoop survive. Anyway, the good news is that the scoop is only one of a few bits of fake bodywork and camouflage that the CT5 has shed. As such, we get our best look yet at the new Cadillac sedan, and it looks pretty good. The grille is very wide and not nearly as tall as the prominent prows of current Cadillacs. It actually doesn't even look as tall as the grille of the Escala concept that inspired the CT5's design. The profile of the CT5 isn't too radically different from existing Caddies, with a long hood and a short trunk. It is still a conventional sedan, though, and not a sedan-like hatchback like the Kia Stinger and Audi A5 Sportback and A7. This is evident by the open trunk lid our spy photographer caught. The taillights also continue to be slim and vertical, though we can't quite tell if they will have a horizontal elements at the bottom like on the XTS and XT4. The car also has very bold and thick angular exhaust tips. We expect the CT5 will go into production in 2019 as a 2020 model, and it will likely take the place of both the CTS and ATS, but not be much smaller than the CTS. It will likely use versions of existing Cadillac engines including the 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder, naturally aspirated 3.6-liter V6, and twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6. We wouldn't rule out the 4.2-liter twin-turbo V8 for a potential CT5-V in the future. Related Video:
