Drivers fender has been hit, trunk Deck needs metal work. It's a car that has been sitting in a field for a long time :)The drivers fender may be able to be salvaged but may need replaced. i will provide more pictures if wanted, just email me."

This auction is for a non-running 1963 Cadillac Coupe De Ville. I got the car about 13 years ago and have never had the funds to restore it. I did drive it around the block a few times back then just after getting the car.It had sat in a field for 20 years but with some fresh gas and a new battery it would start up and run. I moved to Cali 10 years ago, put new tires on it and towed it down behind my truck. It has sat in my field ever since :(  The car has the original 390 and automatic engine in it.

I have a video of the motor cranking that was just taken about 2 weeks ago. The car has power bench seat, power windows, power antenna, air conditioning. Windows & Antenna work. the seat used to work but didn't move when i put the battery in it a few weeks ago; it could be a fuse? I didn't check to see. The glass in the car is in good condition, Radio works but I couldn't get a station. I do not have a title for this car, therefore i'm selling it as a parts car. I will provide a bill of sale. This car has not been registered since 1988 according to the plates. I also have the front bumper for the car. It was taken off when we towed it down on a tow bar, but its not in the pictures.

I'm also including in this auction an extra 1964 Cadillac 429 Motor and extra Auto Transmission. I bought these from a friend about 4 years ago. The motor ran great and was taken out due to twisting the frame on the El Camino it was in. I was going to make the modifications and put it in the car but with no garage and money to do it those plans didn't work out. The motor has been covered all this time and has accumulated some surface rust but with a little elbow grease it will clean up very nice.

The winning bidder upon full payment must pick up the car or arrange shipping on their own within 10 days of winning. this car and everything in the descriptions / pictures are sold as is.

Please ask questions, review the pics, and if needed let me know if you want more pictures. I can send them in an email if you want to see more / or something specific. Feel confident bidding. I have 100% positive feedback. I want the winner to be happy!

Lyft and Ghostbusters want to take you for a ride in Ecto 1

Thu, Jun 30 2016

Part of the fun of using a service like Lyft is that you never know exactly what kind of car will pick you up. And if you're in select cities this weekend, it could be the Ghostbusters' Ecto 1. Lyft is picking riders up in a 1982 Cadillac DeVille wagon decked out in the livery of everyone's favorite ghost catchers as part of a promotional tie-in with the new Ghostbusters movie. Just select Ghost Mode when ordering a car, and a decked-out Ecto 1 should appear. Customers can't ride with Slimer, but Lyft is packing each car with Hi-C Ecto Cooler – the relaunched juice drink that most older millennials lived on during their childhood – and Twinkies. If you're questioning the Twinkies, we strongly recommend you go back and watch the 1984 original. Egon will educate you. Riders in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston, and Washington can order a free ride in Ecto 1 on Friday, July 1 or Saturday, July 2, between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Ghostbusters, starring Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, and Kate McKinnon, hits theaters on July 15. Consumer Reports loves the 2014 Cadillac CTS

Mon, 16 Sep 2013

Our first drive of the 2014 Cadillac CTS was just published today... we really liked the Vsport version. And Consumer Reports has some even stronger words of praise for the all-new luxury sedan. We already knew that Cadillac had stepped up its game with the third-gen CTS, but CR bluntly states that the sedan drives better than its German luxury counterparts.
While CR shows plenty of love for the new CTS, the outlet still takes issue with some of the in-car technology including the CUE infotainment system - no surprise there. The testers' offer all manner of positive comments where the impressive handling capabilities of the sedan are concerned, with lots of drifting around CR's private test facility in evidence to bear them out. Scroll down to watch the CTS get put through its paces.

Cadillac president de Nysschen says electrification coming 'across the spectrum'

Thu, Jan 22 2015

We like to pick on new Cadillac president Johan de Nysschen for his insistence, many years ago, when he was president of Audi of America, that plug-in vehicles are for idiots. Listening to him give the keynote address at the Washington Auto Show today, you wouldn't know he ever said anything negative about an electric vehicle. Instead, he sounds something like a EV-angelist. De Nysschen said that Cadillac will be able to benefit from GM's considerable expertise in plug-in technology, which he said would be "applied across the spectrum of our portfolio." GM's electric committment will help in "making electrification commonplace." With the plug-in ELR already on the road, de Nysschen said that the company's next step in advancing powertrains will be the introduction of stop/start technology – which de Nysschen called an "important system to reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions" – into a Cadillac for the first time later this year. Without giving any specific details, de Nysschen said that Cadillac will introduce eight new models (not necessarily plug-ins) by the end of this decade, including five that "will take Cadillac into market segments where the brand is not even present today." These new vehicles will likely be much lighter than today's vehicles, de Nysschen said, because "weight reduction today is critical to automotive design, it helps to improve fuel efficiency and contributes to desireable vehicle dynamics." The key is to reduce weight without compromising safety or comfort and to use the right material – steel, aluminum, carbon fiber – in the right place at the right time. It was a not-so-subtle jab at Ford and its new aluminum F-150. "In the pursuit of weight reduction, some manufacturers have also opted for abandoning steel and have gone for an all-aluminum approach," he said. "At Cadillac, we believe that different materials each present particular advantages in specific applications. There is no single material that represents the optimum balance of the conflicting objectives of every single application." Related video:
