This can be classified as a "Barn Find".  It was driven into the garage in 1982, and hasn't left.  There is some NOS chrome pieces for the side moldings, 2 spare intake manifolds, and one spare Carter AFB.  The Black top is in good condition, but the plastic zip-out rear window needs replacing.  The seats appear in good condition with the exception of seam separation in the drivers position.  There are rust through points in the driver side rear floor pan (about 5 inches), in front of each rear wheel (about half dollar size), the trunk floor (about 6 inches), gas tank, and both lower outside front bumper ends.

It is equipped with: Power Top, Power Windows, Power Seat, Leather Interior, Cruise-O-Matic (automatic headlight dimmer), AM-FM stereo, His/hers ashtrays, power trunk release, power steering, and automatic with overdrive transmission.  An original shop manual comes with the car.

I purchased this car to serve as my bridal vehicle.  However, that relationship didn't last.  I didn't have the heart to use the car after that, but couldn't bring myself to sell it either. As the car turned 50 this year, I feel it deserves a custodian who will give it some love, and enjoy it's cloud-like ride.  Unlike most Caddys of the era, she is long and low with striking lines.    The body style isn't limited to pure restoration either as Apollo Ohno recently commissioned a nice resto-mod of a brown 63 Caddy convertible.

All taxes, title, fees, and transport are the buyers responsibility. It is located in NE Pennsylvania near Scranton.  I will accept cash, certified or cashiers check or money order, and PayPal.  Credit card transactions incur a 3.5% fee.

Confident new Cadillac marketing boss ready to take on Tesla, BMW

Thu, Jun 26 2014

When there's a former BMW executive heading Cadillac's efforts to boost sales of its only plug-in, it's a pretty safe guess that the marketing emphasis won't be on environmental friendliness and tree-hugging tendencies. The General Motors luxury brand has appointed ex-Bimmer executive Uwe Ellinghaus to be its marketing chief late last year, and the German-born Ellinghaus is now saying that he's targeting potential customers of Tesla Motors, in addition to BMW, for potential growth in sales of the Cadillac ELR extended-range plug-in. Appointed to Cadillac's head of marketing last November, Ellinghaus recently told Advertising Age that GM needs to highlight the Cadillac's looks and performance. He complimented Tesla for putting more emphasis on those attributes in the Model S than on its lack of emissions or lack of refueling costs (but Tesla hasn't shied away from highlighting the EV's savings). Ellinghaus says that trying to gear advertising "for people who are tree-huggers and green-wash an entire brand" won't be successful. You don't say. So far, the ELR hasn't made much of a dent in US car sales. Through May, Cadillac, which spent about $280 million on all of its US marketing last year, sold 293 units, whereas Tesla had been approaching the 11,000-unit figure for the Model S. With that in mind, Cadillac may be working on a sportier version of the ELR, as spy shots of a test vehicle from May revealed larger brakes and wheels. You can read our First Drive impressions of the ELR here.

No, Cadillac is not killing its flagship CT6 sedan

Sat, Jul 22 2017

Mark Twain never actually said that reports of his death had been greatly exaggerated. But if the Cadillac CT6 could talk, those are the exact words it would use. Speaking to Jalopnik, Cadillac chief Johan de Nysschen confirmed, emphatically, "There is absolutely no plan, at all, to cancel the CT6." In fact, says de Nysschen, the CT6 will soon be the beneficiary of significant investment. "The [CT6] forms a very important part of our product strategy going forward for the brand. The car also has a very major contribution to make to the shaping of brand perceptions, and the transformational process that Cadillac is undergoing." For instance, expect the CT6 to spearhead General Motors' most advanced forays into self-driving automobile technology. Interestingly, though, the Cadillac ATS and CTS sedans probably won't live past their current generations as the automaker 're-balances its sedan portfolio.' Replacement models are "in development" right now, says de Nysschen, which will "much more clearly separate the market position, both in terms of target customer demographics, in terms of market segments and in terms of price points between these three sedan lineups." So, that's confirmation that the Cadillac CT6 is going to stick around for a while. But what of other models cited by Reuters to potentially be killed, like the Buick LaCrosse and Chevy Impala and Volt? Read our take on that here, but suffice it to say that we don't think they're in danger, either.
