This vehicle belonged to my late Uncle. He purchased it on eBay in 2007.  The Cadillac was located in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and was shipped to Pittsburgh, PA after the sale. From 2007-2013 the car was garage kept and constantly worked on. I am selling this car because it should be shown - it is a beautiful work of art.

*** INTERESTED BUYERS: Please message me and include your email address. I will email you a 21 page PDF document of scanned invoices from Fayette Enterprises LLC.  This is who did the work on the Cadillac.  The invoices detail parts and labor. Improvements total over $28,000 ***
Also available via email upon request: original 2007 eBay listing description, and more photos.

The Cadillac needs an inspection. I do not know the last time it was inspected.

Most recently, the Cadillac was painted. See photo - paint included.

The Cadillac runs and features a new battery. I had to charge the battery twice in the last three months in order to get the car to start. I've had the vehicle in my possession since March 2013. In that time I drove it twice - once for 1 hour, and again for 1/2 hour. I've started it a few times to move it, take it out of the garage to wash, etc. Beyond that I do not know how often the car was started or driven when my Uncle owned it. Beyond the 2007 ebay description and the Fayette Enterprise invoices, I do not know the history of the vehicle.

The soft part of the dash is original and has three long cracks from the sun. The steering wheel is in very good condition except for a minor gap in the grip that comes with age and can be repaired. See photos.

Electric seats, wipers, and horn work.

Part of the trunk lining is torn, see photo.

The electric antenna needs repaired. It will not retract.

The windows are electric and do work. The drivers side window doesn't move up and down quickly and could use some repair.

Rust that I can see:  small mark where the trunk meets the body, a quarter-sized mark on the drivers side rear view mirror, and a few spots on the drivers side door handle. *Please message me and I will send you multiple photos.

Car features a Classic Auto sound AM/FM Stereo dash unit with a 10 CD changer (approximately $1,200 value). The original AM/FM radio is in the trunk. Photo available upon request. Condition of the original radio is unknown.

Includes a California Car "Extremeweave" cover ($352 value) that has two 4 or 5 inch tears.

Paperwork Included:
-1960 Cadillac shop manual supplement
-copy of the 2007 Ft. Lauderdale Ebay listing
-copy of all 2007-2013 Fayette Enterprises LLC invoices
-10 disc CD changer instruction manual

Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.

Cadillac ELR update delayed over autonomous drive systems issues

Fri, Nov 28 2014

Rumors had been circulating that the 2016 Cadillac ELR would bow in Los Angeles recently, featuring, in Cadillac's own words, "engineering enhancements." The rumors and that quote are as far as it got – the updated ELR pulled a no-show in LA, and no one outside of the brand appears to know when it will appear. GM Inside News says its sources at Cadillac pinned the ELR's absence on some autonomous driving features not being ready to reveal. According to GMI, Cadillac insiders say the upgraded ELR will be a "highly autonomous vehicle," and the company needs more time to gets its systems polished. The site says "it's not unreasonable to assume that ELR will be [the] vehicle" that gets Cadillac's Super Cruise technology, but that seems a lot more involved than "engineering enhancements," and in September Cadillac said we'd see it sometime in the next two years. It's possible the wait for the 2016 ELR and its secrets might only be a couple of months: the next-generation Chevrolet Volt, which shares a platform with the ELR and whose engineering updates we know quite a bit about, is scheduled to appear at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show in January.

Don Draper's 1965 Cadillac Coupe de Ville up for auction

Mon, Aug 3 2015

Few have ever nor ever will embody the sheer confidence and style of Don Draper, the main character on the hit AMC drama Mad Men. But if you can't quite match his style, at least you can drive his car. Now that the series has now concluded its eight-year run, the studio behind it is selling off a whole mess of artifacts from the show through ScreenBid, a specialist Hollywood memorabilia auctioneer. There's a good 1,300 lots up for grabs, from props to costumes. But the lot that's caught our attention is this 1965 Cadillac Coupe de Ville. Don picked this car up in the fifth season and drove it until the penultimate episode. These are the wheels he (spoiler alert!) drove across the country, got repaired in Oklahoma, and ultimately gave to a kid working at the motel before making his way by bus to the Bonneville Salt Flats in the final episode. At the time of writing, bidding had reached $25,000 with four days still to go. Cadillac first used the de Ville as a trim level on the Series 62 before spinning it off into its own model line. 1965 was the first year of the third-generation de Ville, stretching a massive 224 inches (over 18 and a half feet!) long. Powering over 4,600 pounds of personal American luxury was an equally massive 7.0-liter V8 that drove 340 horsepower through a three-speed automatic transmission. The name wasn't retired until 2005 when the final DeVille (as it was styled by then) was replaced by the DTS, which itself was shorthand for DeVille Touring Sedan. Cadillac produced the last DTS in 2011, finally putting to rest a name that had, in one form or another, been used since 1949. Few cars had the kind of presence that the third-gen Coupe de Ville did, though, and Draper knew it. Or at least the show's producers did.

Cadillac's Butler announces surprise departure

Mon, 05 Aug 2013

The Detroit Free Press is reporting that Cadillac's vice president of global strategic development, Don Butler, has resigned. Butler has held the position since April, after a term as vice president of US marketing for General Motor's luxury brand.
As the report explains, the timing here is pretty unfortunate for Cadillac. Butler is the third high-profile member of Cadillac's brass to depart in recent months, following the firing of US sales boss Chase Hawkins and the pending departure of Susan Docherty. Cadillac spokesman David Caldwell told the Detroit paper, "Bob [Ferguson]," global boss for Cadillac, "and other leaders asked him to stay on. Don's here in the office today - and told our team that his decision is purely on a personal level. After three years of putting everything into Cadillac, he is stepping away for some personal time, and to consider new avenues in his life."
Butler says his decision is part of a decision to "recalibrate, reassess my priorities." Whatever the reason, it's an unpleasant surprise for Cadillac, which has been on a surge in 2013, with 30-percent jump in sales on the heels of the hot-selling ATS.
