1955 Cadillac Deville Base Hardtop 2-door 5.4l on 2040-cars
Huntington Beach, California, United States
THIS BEAUTY HAS BEEN OWNED BY TWO OWNERS FROM ONE FAMILY. THERE ARE NO DINGS NOR DENTS ON THE BODY OR ON THE CHROME. THE WHITE WALL TIRES ARE IN MINT SHAPE. THE INTERIOR IS IN EXCELLENT SHAPE WITH NO RIPS OR TEARS. THE DASH DOES HAVE A LITTLE BIT OF DAMAGE UP NEAR THE WINDSHIELD. CARPET IS IN GREAT SHAPE AS WELL. THE CAR HAS BEEN REPAINTED AT SOME POINT AND IS A BIT OXIDIZED. IF I WAS BUYING IT I WOULD PROBABLY REPAINT IT. THE BLACK PAINT IS IN GREAT SHAPE AND CHROME IS EXCELLENT AS WELL. THE ONLY PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE IS THAT IT NEEDS A NEW WINDSHIELD AND PASSENGER WINDOW. I HAVE PRICED THEM AND IT WILL COST 700.00 TO REPLACE. THERE IS VERY LITTLE IF ANY RUST. ALL THE POWER WINDOWS WORK PERFECT. THIS CAR ALSO HAS AN "AUTRONIC EYE" WHICH CHANGES THE HIGH BEAM TO THE LOW BEAM ON THE HEADLIGHTS. THIS CAR HAS THE ORIGINAL RADIO ALSO. THIS CAR IS COMPLETELY ORIGINAL EXCEPT FOR THE PAINT. THIS CAR IS VERY MECHANICALLY SOUND. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ON THIS CAR OR WOULD LIKE TO VIEW IT IN PERSON FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME @ 949-436-iMAC. THANKS FOR VIEWING AND HAPPY BIDDING FOLKS!! |

Cadillac Celestiq and Honda Civic Type R revealed | Autoblog Podcast #740
Fri, Jul 29 2022In this episode of the Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Senior Editor, Green, John Beltz Snyder. They kick things off by talking about the latest vehicle reveals, specifically the Cadillac Celestiq show car and the 2023 Honda Civic Type R. They discuss Chevy's move to offer incentives to help prevent customers from flipping the new Corvette Z06. Greg has spent time behind the wheel of the 2022 Range Rover First Edition, while John has been driving the 2023 Genesis GV60 Performance. From the mailbag, a listener is looking to replace a 2003 Subaru Forester with something that can hold three dog crates and gets decent fuel economy. Another listener asks whether to keep a 2008 Porsche 911 Turbo or replace it with a 992-generation 911 for which he is awaiting an allocation. Cadillac ELR getting massive discounts, some up to $14,000
Mon, Jul 14 2014Well, that didn't go as planned. General Motors had marketed the Cadillac ELR extended-range plug-in as a premium version of the Chevrolet Volt with some Caddy refinements. Now, it looks like that premium, at least from a price standpoint, is shrinking. Shoppers in a number of states are reporting that GM and its dealers are discounting the ELR in order to move more off dealer lots. The issue is that few people are biting at the official price tag of about $76,000, so GM has started offering as much as $8,000 worth of dealer and customer incentives, Transport Evolved reports. More recently, dealers in states such as Florida, Texas and Maryland are offering discounts in the $12,000-to-$14,000 range, and that's before any federal and state plug-in incentives kick in. It's not difficult to guess why. Through the first half of the year, GM sold fewer than 400 ELRs. Last month, Caddy moved just 97 units, or about as many as Tesla sells of its Model S in a day. Perpahs recent spy shots that reveal a test ELR that appears to up the sportiness quotient, with touches such as larger wheels and brakes, will also help sales. Check out Autoblog's "First Drive" impressions of the ELR here.
Combative de Nysschen defends Cadillac move, naming change
Mon, 29 Sep 2014
Johan de Nysschen isn't afraid of taking quick, decisive actions, even if they are criticized. Since taking the wheel at Cadillac, he instigated moving the luxury division's base of operations to Manhattan's SoHo neighborhood and introduced a new naming scheme for the future of the brand, like he did at Infiniti. The polarizing boss recently explained his feelings about the future of Cadillac in more depth on his Facebook page, but unfortunately only his friends could read it. Thankfully, Daily Kanban posted much of the strongly worded missive for the whole world to see.
Much of the message examines the decision to move some employees to New York. De Nysschen claims that it's all about giving Cadillac distance from Detroit to reshape itself. It allows for, "No distractions. No side shows. No cross-brand corporate considerations. No homogenized lowest common denominator approach. Just pure, unadulterated, CLASS."
