One very important benefit of purchasing a vehicle from McGonigal is that virtually every vehicle* will come with a free LIFETIME powertrain warranty. For the entire duration of your ownership, your engine, transmission, front and rear differentials, and all associated components will ALWAYS be covered. Head gaskets, fuel pumps, and other high dollar fixes are no longer a risk or concern because you will always be covered. It does not matter if you own the vehicle for 15 years or drive it for 300,000 miles; you will always have that piece of mind of having a warranty. Even better, there is $0 deductible and this warranty is valid anywhere in the United States.

*eBay is just one of many advertising sources used by our dealership. Although this vehicle is listed in an auction type of format, 98% of the time, it takes a phone call or an appointment to solidify this transaction. We take frequent calls from disappointed "bidders" that the vehicle listed disappeared. It is the same story every time, the vehicle sold locally, we took a deposit from an out of state buyer who called, or whatever the case may be. If interested, please call today to discuss securing this vehicle for your purchase. Shipping is available to out of state buyers whom are interested. Please call ahead for a quote. Cadillac CTS Vsport laps the N"urburgring in 8:14.10 [w/video]

Wed, 28 Aug 2013

You don't have to be German to test your car at the Nürburging. You just have to be serious about beating the Germans on their own home turf. That's why Nissan tests its GT-R at the Nordschleife to challenge the Porsche 911, and why Cadillac - which is no less serious about putting up a fight to German performance sedans - has returned to the 'Ring once again with its latest.
This time it's the turn of the new CTS Vsport, the sportier version of Cadillac's new mid-range sedan that aims to bridge the gap until the arrival of the next CTS-V. So how'd it fare? At the end of what we're sure was an exhaustive test session, the new CTS Vsport clocked a time of 8:14.10.
To put that into context, General Motors points out that the time places the new sedan six seconds ahead of the first-gen CTS-V, whose 400-horsepower V8 engine was actually less potent than the Vsport's new 410hp 3.6-liter twin-turbo V6. That's still a good fifteen seconds slower than the outgoing CTS-V that clocked a 7:59 in 2009 with its 556hp supercharged V8, but only a second behind the E60-generation BMW M5 with its high-revving 500hp V10.

Cadillac recalls 120k examples of ATS for fire risk

Fri, Sep 25 2015

Cadillac is recalling a total of 119,339 units (96,145 in the US alone) of the 2013-2016 ATS sedan, because the coil antenna module that powers the rear defogger can overheat. The problem has been linked to four fires, but there have been no injuries, fatalities, or crashes, according to the automaker. During manufacturing, the antenna might have been produced with "critically weak terminal connectivity." If being cycled on and off often or used continuously, these faulty examples can overheat, leading to a fire in the driver's side rear pillar. According to the company, "less than 1 percent of the recalled vehicles are expected to have the condition." According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (in a PDF), the fix is a reflash for the ATS' Electronic Climate Control module that automatically turns on the rear defogger when the engine starts. In addition, 2013 models keep the system on continuously at low temperatures at highway speeds and this is also being disabled in the update. The changes are meant to cycle the coil less often, but owners can still turn it on manually. Related Video: GM Statement: General Motors is recalling approximately 96,145 2013-16 model year ATS sedans in the U.S. Some of these vehicles may have been manufactured with critically weak terminal connectivity in the coil antenna module, which powers the rear defogger system. If the module has the condition and is subjected to excessive cycling or continuous operation, it may overheat and a fire may develop inside the rear pillar on the driver's side of the vehicle. Less than 1 percent of the recalled vehicles are expected to have the condition. GM is aware of four fires but no injuries, fatalities or crashes. Including Canada, Mexico and exports, the total population of the recall is approximately 119,339.
