UP FOR SALE IS MY SUPER CLEAN 2004 CADILLAC CTS 3.6. I HAVE OWNED THIS VEHICLE FOR FIVE YEARS AND USED IT AS MY EVERYDAY DRIVER .I TRAVEL 65MILES A DAY IN IT BACK AND FORTH FROM WORK ALONE AND AVERAGE 20MPG ON THE HIGHWAY AND 18 IN THE CITY. . THIS CAR WAS A STOLEN RECOVERY. THEY TOOK ALL THE INTERIOR AND BODY PANELS OUT OF IT.SO MY FRIEND PURCHASED A WRECKED CAR AND SWAPED EVERYTHING HE NEEDED FROM IT. THEN LET HIS WIFE DRIVE IT FOR TWO YEARS. THE EXTERIOR IS IN GREAT SHAPE,LESS THAN A YEAR AGO I INVESTED OVER $5000 IN THE PAINT JOB. THEY TOOK THE CAR APART COMPLETELY(THE CORRECT WAY IT SHOULD BE DONE). THE BODY IS VERY STRIGHT AND CLEAN. THERE ARE A FEW STONE CHIPS ON THE FRONT BUMPER FROM THE HIGHWAY DRIVING. I ALSO PUT XENON LIGHTS IN IT AND REPLACED ALL THE HEADLIGHTS,TAILLIGHTS AND FOGLIGHTS WITH CLEAR LENSES. IT HAS THE CTS-V FRONT GRILLE INSTALLED AS WELL AS THE REAR BUMPER COVER(THAT ALONE COST OVER$900 FOR THE BUMPER ALONE) THE WHEELS I HAD CUSTOM POWDER COATED SO I DONT THINK YOU WILL SEE ANY SET THE SAME(PAID OVER $1900). THEY ARE 20INCH WHEELS WITH GOOD TIRES ON THEM. THE INTERIOR IS IN GOOD SHAPE(THE DRIVER SEAT HAS A SMALL TEAR IN IT(EASY TO REPAIR). IT HAS THE TWO TONE SPORT INTERIOR IN IT. THE MOTOR IS CLEAN WITH NO OIL LEAKS AND SMOOTH, I REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION AND IT ONLY HAS 56000 MILES ON IT. THE BRAKES ARE IN GREAT CONDITION(I REPLACED FRONT AND REAR + SHOCKS AND STRUTS,WATER PUMP). I HAVE ALWAYS MAINTAINED THIS CADILLAC AND NEVER NAGLECTED IT. THIS IS A SOLID CAR RUNS SMOOTH AND DRIVES GREAT. I WOULD NOT BUY A VIHICLE IF IT WAS NOT DONE CORRECT. I HAVE DRIVEN MY 5YEAR OLD DAUGHTER IN THIS CAR FOR THE FIVE YEARS THAT I HAVE HAD IT. THATS HOW MUCH I CAN RELAY ON THIS CAR. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

What if the mid-engine Corvette is really a Cadillac?
Tue, Jun 28 2016Call me crazy, but I'm not convinced the mid-engine Corvette is the next Corvette. The rumor is strong, yes. And, contrary to some of the comments on our site, Car and Driver - leader of the mid-engine Corvette speculation brigade - has a pretty good record predicting future models. But it's another comment that got me thinking: or maybe it's a Cadillac. There is clearly something mid-engine going on at GM, and I think it makes sense for the car to be a Cadillac. First off, check out how sweet the 2002 Cadillac Cien concept car still looks in the photo above. Second, there are too many holes in the mid-engine Corvette theory. There are too many holes in the mid-engine Corvette theory. The C7 is relatively young in Corvette years, starting production almost three years ago as a 2014 model. Showing a 2019 model at the 2018 North American International Auto Show would kill sales of a strong-selling car before its time. Not to mention it would only mean a short run for the Grand Sport, which was the best-selling version of the previous generation. More stuff doesn't add up. Mid-engine cars are, in general, more expensive. Moving the Vette upmarket leaves a void that the Camaro does not fill. There's not much overlap between Camaro and Corvette customers. Corvette owners are older and enjoy features like a big trunk that holds golf clubs. Mid-engine means less trunk space and alienating a happy, loyal buyer. Also, more than 60 years of history. The Corvette is an icon along the likes of the Porsche 911 and Ford Mustang. I'm not sure the car-buying public wants a Corvette that abandons all previous conventions. And big changes bring uncertainty - I don't think GM would make such a risky bet. Chevrolet could build a mid-engine ZR1, you might say, and keep the other Corvettes front-engine. Yes they could, and it would cost a ton of money. And they still need to fund development of that front-engine car. I highly doubt the corporate accountants would go for that. But a Cadillac? Totally. Cadillac is in the middle of a brand repositioning. GM is throwing money at this effort. A mid-engine halo car is the just the splash the brand needs to shake off the ghosts of Fleetwoods past. And it's already in Cadillac President Johan De Nysschen's playbook. He was in charge of Audi's North America arm when the R8 came out. A Caddy sports car priced above $100,000 isn't that unreasonable when you can already price a CTS-V in that range.
Cadillac Elmiraj Concept slinks in Leno's Garage
Wed, 28 Aug 2013Jay Leno's Garage has moved to Pebble Beach for the week. This time around, the affable comedian is taking a look at the Cadillac Elmiraj Concept that debuted during the Monterey car week, and is talking to General Motors vice president of global design, Ed Welburn.
There's plenty of reminiscing about what concept cars were like when these two were kids, before a fairly deep dive into the striking Elmiraj Concept itself. Welburn shares a few anecdotes about the design process behind the two-door concept, including how his designers changed his mind on the grille design.
After bringing up the Cimarron, Leno makes a solid point that the Elmiraj would be a solid production car that could even spawn a four-door variant. We couldn't agree more. Take a look below for the full video from Jay Leno's Garage.
Daily Driver: 2016 Cadillac ATS-V Sedan
Tue, Oct 13 2015Daily Driver videos are micro-reviews of vehicles in the Autoblog press fleet, reviewed by the staffers that drive them every day. Today's Daily Driver features the 2016 Cadillac ATS-V sedan, reviewed by David Gluckman. You can watch the video above or read a transcript below. And don't forget to watch more Autoblog videos at /videos. Show full video transcript text [00:00:00] Hey, it's David Gluckman with another Daily Driver. Today I'm driving a 2016 Cadillac ATS-V. This is the sedan model and it has the optional eight-speed automatic transmission. The ATS-V is the small performance car in Cadillac's lineup. It sits below the CTS-V, which is also new for 2016. Ever since the base ATS came out a few years ago, this has always been a wonderful chassis in search of a great engine to compliment it. This car really changes that. [00:00:30] They've dialed up the chassis, the suspension is a little stiffer, the body is even stiffer, and they've put this really nice 3.6-liter twin-turbo V6 engine under the hood. In terms of power and torque, the new V6 outguns it's main bogey, the BMW M3 and M4. The Cadillac engine puts out 464 horsepower and 445 pound feet of torque, which is tons. [00:01:00] The one issue, though, is the way it delivers that power. It's not as smooth as the BMW and there's a bit of turbo lag that you really don't feel in the German engine. Once you get moving, however, this engine really just wakes up. There's no lag once you're at highway speed. You can floor it and there's plenty of power and torque for easy passes and runup to extra-legal speeds. [00:01:30] It's tons of fun there but around town it just kind of lacks a little bit of the smoothness and responsiveness that we're kind of expecting for a car in this class. The engine does sound pretty nice, though. It has this nice little growl when you start it up and when you get on it, it actually sounds more like a supercharged engine than a turbocharged one. It's a little strange, I think that's maybe some active noise cancellation that Cadillac is doing to cancel out the whooshes and whirs that we're used to from a turbocharger. [00:02:00] That's fine with me. Whatever it is, it sounds good. This car gets the same fancy rear limited-slip differential that the Corvette introduced a couple years ago. It does a really good job of keeping everything manageable. You almost can't tell that the car has 464 horsepower. It keeps everything in line.
