We just got this vehicle in from the owner who purchased the vehicle in September 06, 1998. He recently picked up a 2008 XLR-V platinum edition for us and gave us his prized vehicle that was always garaged. This is the rare Pininfarina Design Cadillac Allante V8. This vehicle has the hard top that is removable along with the cloth top which is in great condition.
This vehicle is in overall great condition for its year and mileage. The interior leather shows to be excellent with no tears or rips. The carpet floors in the car and trunk are in excellent condition. Overall this vehicle would recieve an 8 out of 10. The exterior does not have scratches or dings. The owner kept it garaged and took good care of the vehicle. It runs and drives great with no warning lights or issues. The tires on the vehicle are at about 30-40% center tread so they will need replacing soon. The right passenger window is moody and sometimes does not go up or down but sometimes it works properly. The vehicle was recently smogged and passed the California emissions inspections. The registration is current and valid until August 2014. The interior is full power including the leather seats and trunk lid closure. With only 108K original well maintained miles this vehicle will one day be a classic in someones car collection. Cadillac considering more electric cars, Elmiraj business case gaining popularity
Fri, 01 Nov 2013Cadillac's electrification isn't likely to stop at the $76,000 ELR coupe, according a report from TheDetroitBureau.com. Speaking to Cadillac's global sales boss, Bob Ferguson, a successful ELR will likely lead to a larger, even more upscale offering than the Volt-based two-door. "I could certainly see a larger vehicle, something even more luxurious," Ferguson said of a potential second, battery-powered Caddy.
That car would likely boast a more potent version of the Voltec powertrain that motivates the Volt and ELR. This next-generation system is still sometime off, though, and won't likely arrive until the second-generation Volt hits the market.
Besides hinting at future plug-in hybrids, Ferguson spoke to TDB about the improving business case for the Elmiraj Concept, shown at the Pebble Beach Concours in Monterey in August. "I'm very excited about the reception for the Elmiraj," Ferguson said. "I'd like to see it in showrooms as soon as possible," he added, before saying that a business case for the production version of the big coupe still needed to be presented to the brass. "It was made to be operationalized," Ferguson added, which is just what we want to hear when it comes to big, flashy concept cars.

There is no escaping the luxury all-wheel drive empire Audi has built for itself over the past 15 years. While nearly every high-end marque has at least one offering with power at all four corners, the hardware can't help but play second fiddle to Ingolstadt's Quattro kingdom. Leather-lined all-wheel drive is simply Audi the way minimum wage is an English degree. But General Motors seems hell-bent on raiding as many established fiefdoms as possible with the 2013 Cadillac ATS. Engineers and designers made no secret of the fact that the baby Cadillac was penned specifically to take on the BMW 3 Series, but Audi should be no less concerned about the newest luxury prince from Detroit.
GM has been stuffing all-wheel drive systems under their vehicles for years, but the effort hasn't come without nasty side effects. Unfortunate understeer, extra ride height, smallish wheels and porky curb weight meant opting for all-wheel drive was like signing your driving pleasure's death warrant. Would you like polished brass or brushed nickel hardware for your right foot's coffin, sir?
