Cadillac Seville Gorgeous Champagne California Car on 2040-cars

Year:1976 Mileage:68000
Location:

Springfield, Missouri, United States

Up for bids is my gorgeous 1976 Cadillac Seville. This is a rust free California car that has never seen a winter. I had the car shipped to my storage facility in Springfield Missouri
last year in April 2013. I purchased the vehicle from a gentleman who bought the car from the original owner. The original owner had lost her husband many years ago and she kept
the car using it infrequently until she was no longer able to drive. This would account for the very low mileage. The fellow I bought the car from had not owned it very long. He was
unable to get the car running properly. The cold start was the primary issue. He had it to several shops trying different things to no avail. I had a pretty good idea what to look for
when I made a deal to purchase the car. When I saw the car arrive on the transport truck from California I was just thrilled. We like to never got it running and off the truck but finally
it reluctantly started and I was able to get it into my garage.

The problem was nothing more than a simple coolant sensor. Finding that coolant sensor took some doing but I finally located one in Oklahoma City. It was a NOS new sensor right
in the original GM box. I installed the sensor and the car now starts and runs perfectly. I also removed the entire fuel rail and replaced all the old O-rings. I had one bad fuel injector
and just cleaned the other injectors. The car hits the road now like a champ, has lots of power and NO hesitations or stumbles. Finally I did have the entire cooling system and
heater core back flushed and the pressure tested. The car is in excellent mechanical condition and could be driven anywhere. To my knowledge the only known defect is that the
cruise is not working. The climate control system works properly, heat and defrost as well as cold air. The car is sitting on four new radial tires.

The body on this car is super nice and straight. It is an original car with original paint which is slightly faded. The vinyl roof is in very good condition not cracked or torn but slightly
faded. In one of my pictures it should show a slight separation of the vinyl away from the lower trim molding for the top. There is one very small minor imperfection in the paint
about the size of a silver dollar and it is located on a lower panel. I tried to get a picture of that also. The interior is beautiful on this car. It's one of the nicest original un-restored
cars I've seen.

My problem is and always has been that I have too many old cars. Last fall a Buick Riviera became available and I bought that car. I only have room in my storage building for four cars.
So, I decided to let the Seville go. However, every time I get in that car and drive it I say to myself, "you're crazy to sell this car, where do you find one this nice?" I have been putting off
listing this car for two months now simply because I hate to see it go. Well, it's either the Caddy, the Riviera or build another storage building. Someone bidding on this auction is
going to get one fine '76' Seville!

Cadillac ATS failing to command BMW 3 Series-like pricing as hoped

Mon, 05 Aug 2013

The BMW 3 Series has long been the benchmark for small and sporty luxury vehicles, but the Cadillac ATS has come on strong in its short time on the market as a true rival in this segment. As impressive as Cadillac's new compact sedan is, however, Automotive News is reporting that the car is still lagging behind the 3 Series when it comes to actual transaction pricing.
According to the article, the average transaction price for the ATS is $39,459 while the 3 Series is at a much larger $44,764, but, just as importantly, Cadillac has about $500 more in incentives on the ATS compared to BMW. Transaction prices are much closer to cars like the Mercedes C-Class and Audi A4. Of course, this is all with the ATS trying to take on its small, sport sedan rivals with a single bodystyle and limited powertrain options compared to the numerous options available from the German automakers in this class.
This uneven battle won't last long, though, as recent spy shots have revealed that Cadillac is hard at work on a high-performance ATS-V and an ATS Coupe. No official word as to when either of these models will be unveiled, but with auto show season set to kick off, we're expecting sooner rather than later. The best news for the ATS is that the Automotive News says sales of the ATS are on target and that 74 percent of ATS buyers are new to Cadillac - two important factors for the brand as it tries to break into this tough segment.

Cadillac goes white-out on social media as prelude to Oscars announcement [w/video]

Fri, Feb 13 2015

Cadillac appears to be in a very odd place at the moment. On one hand, Johan De Nysschen is pushing the company towards a much more luxurious image that includes converting 700 dealers into boutiques, and a blitz of new products is also supposed to be on the way in the coming years. However, at the moment sales aren't necessarily keeping pace with production, and there are reportedly heavy incentives available on some models. Now, we're seeing the earliest hint at the next strike in the brand's strategy as its social media presence goes white across the web. Go check out Cadillac's official pages on the major social media hubs, and all you can find is blank space. There's just a period on Twitter, a blank box on Facebook, another one on Instagram and the company logo is even gone from Pinterest. Perhaps most bizarre is YouTube, where Caddy is showing five minutes of absolutely nothing (embedded below) with no sound at all. The video description is only a period. All of this nothingness is supposed to be a lead-up to Cadillac unveiling a completely new advertising campaign during the Oscars on February 22. This method of blanking everything out beforehand could suggest a minimal, to-the-point message in the future. While it wouldn't be shocking for a few teasers to come out in the meantime, Caddy is keeping quite a secret before the big reveal.
