Up for sale is my personally owned Cadillac STS, with a  beautiful Diamond White white body.  This was a car I was going to drive for personal and business useage but due to the fact I have been  reassigned to a new territory in my business and I am receipt of a brand new car, I have no use or storage or budget for insurance to keep this vehicle. This fine example of an STS runs and drives very well.  The car shift runs and brakes to factory standard, and has tremendous acceleration.  Apparently the previous owner had the engine changed 20k ago, and when I purchased it, he supplied paperwork to indicate the engine has about 70k on it.    The heating and cooling system is excellent and the car does not overheat, blow smoke or make any deficient noises, and leaks nothing.  The ac was working great this summer, as it was recharged and a all new lines were changed, however now it only blows out luke cold so, there maybe a leak in the system, but the compressor is working when refrigerant is present.  The front tires will need to be replaces and the rear tires have 20% tread life.  The exterior of the car is near flawless, with no scratches and very few minor dings.  From a distance the car body wise looks excellent.  The rear bumper has a few scratches and dings from being parked on the street.  All windows and electronics, seat controls, blower and climate controls, rain sense wipers, Bose radio and cd changer, heated seats, seat controls all the glass, work and operate as they should.  Occasionally, the car takes more than one time to start, and my mechanic has indicated that this is caused by a worn Ignition Control Module, and is an easy fix, and could be gotten through many parts warehouses for less than $300.00.  You did not need to replace this now, however, as it does not really affect the cars drivability.  The interior although free of rips and cuts, needs a major leather detail to bring its luxurious leather to original pristine condition and to match its gorgeous exterior.  When driving the car, you will notice its extreme acceleration, smooth shifting and great braking and suspension turning. The car has had all maintenance done including, a major tune-up, oil and fluid changes and a new battery less than 5k ago.   All in all this car is a great runner, and can be put into service immediately as a great driving vehicle.  If you have any questions please text or call Al at 516-473-8399.  Car is sold here as is where is with no warranty, and I reserve the right to sell this vehicle privately and locally at any time.  This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION and will go tio the highest bidder.

Book by Cadillac is like a streaming service for cars

Thu, Jan 5 2017

Cadillac is launching a subscription-based service that gives users access to most of its models for a flat fee of $1,500 a month. Called Book by Cadillac, the program starts in February in New York City and its surrounding areas. Cadillac's goal: attract users who want flexibility without the costs and commitment of ownership. The monthly fee is steep, but Cadillac argues it's competitive with the cost of leasing a well-equipped luxury car. It also includes maintenance, taxes, and insurance fees. The Book service can also be stopped at any time, which frees users from any payments. There's no restrictions on mileage, though users pay for gas either by filling up the car when they're done with it or through a Caddy concierge who bills their account. Cadillac will deliver and pick up the vehicles from the user's choice of location via a white-gloved driver. Users can change vehicles up to 18 times per year, and they can be reserved with a mobile app. The theoretical goal is a Book user could head to the airport in New York in a Cadillac and reserve another one for their use in Los Angeles. Cadillac ran a test program last year and decided to move forward with Book after receiving a positive response on the price and features. "The overwhelming result is this is something competitive," spokesman Eneuri Acosta said. The program features the Escalade, Escalade ESV, CT6, CTS-V, ATS-V, and XT5 decked-out in Platinum trim. Other vehicles, like the non-V-series ATS or CTS could be added if there's demand. Book by Cadillac starts in New York, but will expand to other unspecified markets. Related Video:

Watch Brad Pitt's Chinese Cadillac XTS commercial

Thu, 14 Mar 2013

Once upon a time, in a land not so far from this one, Brad Pitt was the very face anti-consumerism. You see, when he slipped into the role of the elitist-loathing, food-abusing, violence-embracing Tyler Durden from Fight Club, his visage was inextricably married to images of leveling credit card corporations with nothing more than a little human fat and some determination. Of course, that was before Pitt settled into old age with a passel of children at his feet. Now, it seems, he'll shill for something as long as it doesn't damage his reputation in America.
Need proof? Look no further than this Chinese ad for the Cadillac XTS. In it, Pitt contentedly wafts the big front-wheel drive barge around San Francisco against a mildly euphoric soundtrack. You can check out the scene for yourself below, just make sure you have your last meal squarely situated in your stomach before pressing play. We have to wonder if Pitt wakes up in the middle of the night with Chuck Palahniuk's oddly omniscient words echoing in his ears: "Then you're trapped in your lovely nest, and the things you used to own, now they own you."
