1990 Fleetwood Sixty Special. 1 older Southern California owner since new, conservative, non-smoker, very well maintained, he bought this car new (paid cash) at Martin Cadillac in Los Angeles to use to mainly drive back and forth once a month to Nevada. The miles are mainly highway. These types of Fleetwood's are slightly longer (about 6 inches) and were built in limited quantities, less than 1900 produced this particular year model. Being a vinyl roof delete makes it very scarce (and better looking!). This car is loaded. I have dealer invoice $38912.00, car has about every option except sun roof. This car is always garage kept when not out and about.

Car starts, runs and drives well. Small exhaust leak you only notice upon heavier acceleration. Brakes tires and other mechanics are all very good. If the car needed anything it would get it. Owner kept owners maintenance log in back of owner manual up to date. Front door weather stripping was recently replaced at nearly 700.00. This Cadillac is equipped with the powerful 4.5 engine, much more reliability then some of the other Cadillac engines available in that era. This car is a real powerhouse!

Paint is a beautiful dark blue shade "Black Sapphire". It is the original and still retains it's deep luster. There are a few small dings and scratches you might expect but, overall beautiful. Chrome and stainless all very nice. Glass is all good, windshield does have 2x stone chips. One of the side bumper pads has a minor scrape, could be easily touched up.

Interior is very nice, only minor ware mainly on drivers seat, not bad. Seats have about every tilt, lumbar position known to man. Even has heated seats! Plenty of leg room both front and rear. 4x overhead illuminated vanity mirrors, minor wrinkles on felt type headliner but, nothing that grabs your eye. Dash is very nice, door panels extremely good condition. Everything works to my knowledge. The radio was replaced with a more modern CD/MP3 player that looks just fine, if you didn't know you would assume the car came with it from factory. Trunk compartment is very clean and nice. Spare tire still in place and appears to have never been removed.

Please bid only if you have all of your funds readily available. Please PayPal initial payment of 500.00 within 24 hrs. (If buy it now, immediately), please pay balance in full within 5 days, no PayPal for balance. Please contact me shortly after you win. Car is nearly 25 years old hence; NO WARRANTY. Please remove the car at your earliest opportunity, not to exceed 2 weeks please. It will be kept indoors. Sold as is where is. Hemet Ca 92544. I can assist on this end with your shipping transporter. Please get permission from your mother, wife, Dr, lawyer etc, prior to bidding. Please do not attempt to renegotiate after auction. NO FIRST TIME BIDDERS PLEASE, if you feel you must bid contact me prior with your intentions. You may preview car with advanced notice.

Want to beat LA traffic? Chargers QB Philip Rivers has found a way

Wed, Sep 6 2017

Slogging through traffic in Southern California is about as pleasurable as being slowly eaten by bears or being the awkward third wheel on a bad first date. It feels like it's never going to end. After the team relocated to Los Angeles from San Diego, Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers decided that three hours wasted each day in a car was too much. As The San Diego Union-Tribune reports, Rivers' rolling office makes his days more productive than ever. After deciding that he wasn't going to relocate his family to Orange County, Rivers was stuck with the prospect of either spending considerably less time with his children or skipping out on much-needed film work at the team's training facility (not really an option given his profession). Instead, he began investigating a number of options to make his lengthened commute slightly more viable and productive. First, he considered carpooling with a teammate. That was still too much of a pain. He looked at flying a helicopter, but unless it could land close to both his home and the practice field, it too was useless. A quick online search eventually led to the rolling footage review room you see here. Becker Automotive Design in Oxnard, Calif., builds these rolling offices for a wide range of customers. It sells modified Mercedes-Benz Sprinters, Ford Transits, and, in Rivers' case, a Cadillac Escalade with a raised roof. His needs were simple: a television and an HDMI input so he can hook up his computer. No fancy armor or recumbent exercise bicycle. His goal was to review game footage on his commute rather than slowly waste away behind the wheel of a car. Photos show a sea of leather and wood and a mini fridge, so it's not totally without niceties. Column | Philip Rivers' new ride allows him to stay home https://t.co/btwCEgIsFq pic.twitter.com/DHud3ho5UF — The Union-Tribune (@sdut) September 5, 2017 The Union-Tribune lists the price of the Escalade at about $200,000. That's not including the driver's salary. In 2015, Rivers signed a four-year deal with the Chargers worth $84 million, so he's not hurting for cash. If it increases productivity and saves the headache of being behind the wheel in traffic, we can imagine more people with means (and not just quarterbacks) will be opting for such daily transport. Cadillac gives ATS, CTS new V6 for 2016

Sun, Oct 11 2015

Replacing the existing 3.6-liter V6 in the Cadillac ATS and CTS is... another 3.6-liter V6. But this one promises higher output, while consuming less fuel, and making less noise. Like the V8s in the CTS-V and Escalade, it's got cylinder-deactivation technology to cut it down to a four-pot under lighter loads, as well as automatic stop/start, and comes mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The new engine produces 335 horsepower and 284 pound-feet of torque. That's a modest improvement over the 321 hp and 275 lb-ft mustered by the unit it replaces. But it also delivers an approximate improvement of nine percent in fuel economy and eight percent in carbon emissions. That's what we'd call a win-win, even if it's a modest one. Of course, those ATS or CTS buyers attracted to higher efficiency will still likely go for the 2.5-liter inline-four or the 2.0-liter turbo four. And those more inclined towards performance will be tempted by the 3.6-liter twin-turbo V6 in the ATS-V or CTS Vsport – or the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 in the CTS-V, for that matter. But those customers looking for the best of both worlds will surely be pleased by the improvements the new atmospheric V6 and 8-speed gearbox bring to the table. Related Video: New Technologies Boost Efficiency for 2016 CYLINDER DEACTIVATION AND START/STOP SYSTEMS BEGIN PRODUCTION ON ATS AND CTS PRODUCT LINES 2015-10-09 Renowned for luxury and design, Cadillac has recently added dynamic driving performance to its list of attributes. Now as 2016 model year production begins, Cadillac adds new fuel-saving technologies. Active Fuel Management and Automatic Stop/Start technologies, and widespread use of a new 8-speed transmission, are combining to raise fuel economy ratings and reduce emissions in Cadillac's portfolio. Cadillac's all-new six cylinder engine contains Active Fuel Management, or cylinder deactivation, technology enabling it to seamlessly switch from six-cylinder to four-cylinder operation under certain light-load conditions, while maintaining excellent performance. The new 3.6-liter engine is part of the 2016 ATS and CTS product lines. Additionally, the Cadillac Escalade luxury SUV's V8 will shift to four-cylinder operation in many daily driving conditions, as will Cadillac's all-new high performance CTS-V sedan.

GM admits goal of 500,000 EVs by 2017 won't be met

Sat, May 9 2015

After a little over four years of Chevy Volt sales, General Motors has a better handle on how many people it expects will buy cars with plugs. And it's less than the company thought back in 2012, when then-senior vice president of global product development, Mary Barra, said that GM expected to sell 500,000 "vehicles with electrification" by 2017. In a sustainability report released this week, GM says that half-million vehicle target will not be met but that it still, "believes the future is electric." In the report, GM says that, "For our commitment to electrification, our forecasted outlook currently projects us, along with the broader automotive industry, falling short of expectations for 2017. ... We continue to aspire to our stated goal." GM's electric lineup includes the Volt, the recently popular Spark EV, the slow-selling Cadillac ELR and upcoming Malibu Hybrid, CT6 plug-in hybrid and eAssist technology in the Buick LaCrosse and Regal. GM says it has 180,834 electrified vehicles on the road in the US today. In 2013, it had 153,034; 95,578 in 2012, and 39,843 in 2011. The company's next big plug-in vehicle will be the second-gen Chevy Volt, which is coming to market later this year, followed by the 200-mile Bolt EV coming, we think, in 2017. GM Employees on Mission to Transform Transportation Sustainability report outlines vehicle and manufacturing progress; sets new targets 2015-05-07 DETROIT – General Motors' just-released sustainability report chronicles efforts by the company's 216,000 employees to live out GM's newly defined purpose and values by earning customer loyalty, applying meaningful technology advances and improving the communities where it does business. These actions – led by CEO Mary Barra – further drive sustainability into the company's culture through building safer and smarter vehicles with less environmental impact. "GM will take a leading role in the auto industry's transformation as it undergoes an unprecedented period of change," said Bob Ferguson, senior vice president, GM Global Public Policy. "From GM's labs to its assembly lines, our people are driving the world to a better place through improved mobility." The company believes the future is electric, with billions of investment to support an all-in-house approach to the development and manufacturing of electrified vehicles. It now counts 180,834 on the road in the U.S – up from 153,034 in 2013.
