I just drove it on a 1200 mile trip with NO problems! I got almost 19 m.p.g. while driving 70-75 m.p.h. This car runs and drives great! It's amazing at how many people remark about how nice the car is when you stop for gas or pull up to a restaurant! You may notice that the car has New Jersey tags, and I'm located in Georgia. The car belongs to my Mom who is up in her 80's. I flew up to NJ and drove it down to Ga. to sell it for her. She's not allowed to drive anymore, and that's the reason we're selling it. My name is Joe and I can be reached at 912-278-1314 anytime from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. EST. Feel free to call with any questions. I accept VISA & MASTERCARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS & DISCOVER as well as PayPal for the $500 deposit, however, I prefer wire-transfer or cash for the balance. Please note that I require final payment within 3 days. If you can't do this, it's simple, don't bid on the car. I have had too many people play games because they aren't prepared to pay for a bid they won, and from now on I will report these clowns to ebay if it happens again. Please don't be offended, but if you have to ask your wife, mother, or banker, please do so before you bid. Thanks Transportation is the responsibility of the buyer, however, I can usually arrange delivery at very reasonable rates. I take great pains to list items fairly and accurately. (check my feedback) Please read everything in this auction carefully before you bid! Ask questions early and look at the pictures before you bid so there are no misunderstandings when you get your part. I try to describe everything the very best I can and I supply good pictures. What you see in the picture is what you are bidding on. FEEDBACK. I used to leave feedback as soon as an item was paid for and I felt comfortable with the transaction, however, SO many folks seem to forget about leaving feedback when they get their car or part. My new policy is that I leave positive feedback for all bidders who "REMEMBER" to leave positive feedback for us. I feel that you should leave feedback first as that is the only way I know if you are satisfied with your purchase, if you leave a positive feedback, YOU WILL get positive feedback, I PROMISE. |

How GM's grueling 24-hour test gets the kinks out of its performance cars
Tue, 27 Aug 2013One of the biggest challenges automakers face when designing a high-performance car is making sure that it is both fast and reliable. For General Motors, any car that might be taken to the track by its owner - like the Corvette, Camaro Z/28 (shown above) and the Cadillac CTS-V, for example - undergoes a rigorous and strenuous 24-hour test by engineers at the Milford Proving Grounds, as pointed out by Car and Driver.
We've posted on this topic in the past - on a video showing the Camaro ZL1 being brutalized, for instance - but this article gives a more in-depth look at what actually happens behind the scenes... including what that poor ZL1 went through. Though the test isn't for 24 hours straight, the cars are pushed as hard as possible by some of GM's best drivers with only the brakes and tires replaced frequently.
We don't want to ruin the fun for you, but it is an interesting article that tells just some of what GM does to develop its sports cars. Check out the full article over at Car and Driver for the rest of the story.
Cadillac back on track with 600-hp ATS-V.R racer in FIA GT3 spec [w/video]
Fri, 14 Nov 2014There was already a rumor brewing that Cadillac might eschew the CTS as its racecar next season in favor of the ATS Coupe. It turns out that is absolutely the case, and now we know just what this 600-horsepower, future racer looks like. The coupe might not be limited to competing in just the US, though, because it's built to FIA GT3-specifications, meaning that this Caddy is also eligible to race in over 30 series worldwide against the likes of Bentley, McLaren, Audi and other premium brands.
The heart of this massively winged Cadillac is an engine dubbed the LF4.R. It's based around the unit in the production ATS-V and CTS Vsport but with larger turbos, bigger intercoolers, side exhausts and other tricks. Cadillac claims it makes a monstrous 600 hp and 520 pound-feet of torque in unrestricted form.
As the photo above shows, the ATS-V.R also wears an aggressive aero kit with a carbon fiber front splitter, and a wing at the back that could probably double as a picnic table in a pinch. The dry weight of the whole package is quoted at about 2,900 pounds, which is around 700 pounds less than the street version.
2019 Lincoln Nautilus vs 2018 Cadillac XT5: How they compare on paper
Fri, Jun 29 2018There will no doubt be endless ads touting the "first-ever" 2019 Lincoln Nautilus, which is accurate, but it's really just a mid-cycle update of an existing midsize luxury SUV attached to a greatly welcomed name change. Frankly, Lincoln could've called it the Diamond Jubilee Bill Blass and it would've been an improvement. Whatever. The MKX is dead. Long live the Nautilus. Now, speaking of SUVs with silly alphanumeric names, the 2018 Cadillac XT5 lines up remarkably well with the 2018 MKX. Besides hailing from American luxury brands, they have virtually identical exterior dimensions and similar standard engines as well. Cross-shopping seems assured. But what does the change to the 2019 Nautilus mean for how it compares to the XT5? Cosmetic changes might tweak exterior dimensions by a tenth of an inch here or there, but the interior should remain the same. The Nautilus gets a new engine, though, so check out our spreadsheet below to see if America's (and Canada's) luxury SUVs still stack up. Conclusions The switch to a turbocharged four-cylinder base engine means the XT5 and MKX/Nautilus are no longer on equal terms under the hood. While the Cadillac now has a considerable power advantage, the Lincoln Nautilus could save you hundreds every year based on its likely fuel economy (the 2.0-liter turbo engine, albeit with a different transmission, is in the mechanically similar Ford Edge). Besides the new engine for 2019, the Nautilus also gains an eight-speed automatic and an automatic stop start system. Both of those elements are already included on the XT5. It was announced that the 2019 Nautilus will start at $41,335, which compares to the base MKX at $39,960 and the 2018 Cadillac XT5 at $41,590. In other words, the Lincoln is still less expensive, but just barely. Standard feature content is also comparable, especially as the Nautilus gains standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which are already standard on the XT5. So really, no matter what they're called, the Cadillac and Lincoln should continue to be neck-and-neck competitors. 2019 Lincoln Nautilus Photos View 20 Photos 2018 Cadillac XT5 Photos View 28 Photos 2018 Lincoln MKX Photos View 57 Photos Related Video: Cadillac Lincoln Car Buying Crossover SUV Luxury Comparison consumer cadillac xt5 lincoln nautilus
