Here is a beautiful classic Cadillac. Same owner and garage kept since 1989. Loaded with more options than most new cars. Button tuck seats are more like couches. This one has the "ride" that Cadillac is known for and lost during the early 90's. Mechanically top notch and ready to drive anywhere. All electronics WORK (even the power antenna!) Drivers door lock does not work electronically but does manually fine, possibly needs a new actuator.

Interior is exceptional with deep glossy wood and chrome that looks new. Drivers door handle has been remounted, and some discoloration around the drivers seat, a steam cleaning would probably bring it back to mint. No rips, tears, or major stains on the inside.

Exterior is excellent with exception of the normal cracked plastic between the bumpers (does not have to be replaced, but it would be a shame not to.) Minor spot of paint cracking by the drivers door handle. Vinyl top looks great with no rips, stains or tears.

History: I have been told the car was bought being serviced at the GM dealer when the drivers door was involved in a shop accident. The car was repaired by the dealership and sold to the gentleman which had it since '89.  It has been in a retirement community garaged until I bought the car.  Now I get to pass this timeless piece on to you.

Autocheck is wrong this car was not in OH in '92. I have the '89 TN title from the second owner.

11 vehicles from Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas worth watching

Fri, 26 Sep 2014

This weekend will see the world's collector car crowds descend on Las Vegas, NV for one of the biggest shows on Barrett-Jackson's popular auction circuit. There are hundreds of vehicles up for bidding, ranging from a brand-new Lamborghini Aventador to a spattering of Art Deco classics and a huge swath of classic muscle cars.
While it's virtually impossible to assemble an inarguable list of the best cars coming during the three-day, 700-plus vehicle auction, we've sifted through the listings for this year's show - it was a tough assignment, we promise - and assembled a list of what we think will be some of the most interesting lots. We'll admit, it's a bit heavy on American iron, but if you browse BJ's listings, you'll come to a similar conclusion. Still, scroll down for our list of what we think will be the most interesting vehicles at the upcoming auction.

SRX-replacing Cadillac XT5 spied for the very first time

Thu, 30 Oct 2014

Cadillac has got big plans in place to revitalize its lineup, with new sedans, coupes and crossovers. And it all starts with this, the replacement for the SRX.
Expected to be called XT5 in line with the brand's new naming scheme, the crossover will be based on a scalable new platform called C1XX - or Chi, for short. In its shorter form, Chi is anticipated to underpin the XT5 as well as a new Chevy crossover and the next-gen GMC Acadia. In long-wheelbase form, the platform is slated to give us a larger Cadillac crossover as well as a new Buick Enclave and Chevy Traverse.
Power in the XT5 will be provided by a choice of turbo four or atmospheric six, potentially to be transmitted through GM's new nine-speed automatic.

Artist imagines eerie world where cars have no wheels

Thu, 24 Jan 2013

The wheel ranks right up there with the telescope and four-slice toaster in the pantheon of inventions that have moved humankind forward. But what if a circle in three dimensions had never occurred to anyone, and we all had just moved on without it? Perhaps we'd be driving around in Lucas Motors Landspeeders with anti-gravity engines. Or maybe we'd have the same cars we do today, just without wheels.
That's the thought experiment that seems to have led French photographer Renaud Marion to create his six-image series called Air Drive. The shots depict cars throughout many eras of motoring that look normal except for one thing: they have no wheels. The models used include a Jaguar XK120, Cadillac DeVille (shown above), Chevrolet El Camino and Camaro, and Mercedes-Benz SL and 300 roadsters.
Perhaps one day when our future becomes our past, you'll be able to walk the street and see with your own eyes the rust and patina of age on our nation's fleet of floating cars. Until then, Monsieur Marion's photographs will have to do.
