This immaculate 1984 Cadillac Fleetwood only has 39k well documented miles.

The Brougham Coupe made up just over 10% of the Fleetwood production for 1984. This body began production in 1980 to appease the loyal Cadillac owners that were disgruntled over the 79 Eldorado Biarritz being drastically down sized. This full sized coupe with all it's trimmings filled the "personal luxury" spot well and production ran through midyear of 1985. Very few of these were saved and finding a good one often takes years to find. On any given day you can find a nice low mile Eldorado of this generation but the low mile Fleetwood Coupes are very scarce and have become very sought after. The demand for this body amongst collectors have more than doubled in the last 5 years as many Cadillac aficionados are snapping the best examples up for their collections. 1985 was the very last year for this incredible body style and from a design standpoint was GM at it's finest hour. These Brougham Coupes were the last of a classic style era which will never be produced again.

I have had the privilege of owning several of these Brougham Coupes in my 20+ years of Cadillac collecting, and this particular example is hands down the most striking of them all. This particular Fleetwood was a one-owner car and has always been collector owned and garage kept. With only 39k miles, this Cadillac needs no excuses and stands well to be a very lucrative long term investment. The best resale colors for these are black, red, blue and white with black leading the pack because of it's rarity. Having leather interior ads even more value to this low mile example.

Online Find Of The Day: 2008 Cadillac XLR picks up where Excalibur left off

We try very, very hard to keep snark away from creations like the one you see here. After all, someone poured plenty of enthusiasm, time and money into turning a 2008 Cadillac XLR into a modern interpretation of the new-old cars typically done by cottage builders like Excalibur and Clénet. Even so, it's hard not to wince when you set an eye on this machine. With its wheelbase stretched to accommodate the extra bodywork, goofy sidewalls and upkicked nose (examine it in profile, it looks slightly bent in the middle), this "neoclassic" takes whatever was loveable about the Cadillac underneath and buries it in a tacky grave.
Miraculously, the engine bay has been left unmolested, which means the retractable hardtop convertible still features a 4.6-liter Northstar V8 engine good for 320 horsepower. If only that were enough to outrun its shame. If, for some reason, you feel like taking this thing home, Harry Kaufmann Motorcars of Milwaukee says it can be yours for a paltry $74,998. GM will recall more than 3.3 million vehicles in China for suspension defect

BEIJING (Reuters) - General Motors' joint venture in China, Shanghai GM, will recall more than 3.3 million Buick, Chevrolet and Cadillac vehicles stating Oct. 20 because of a defect with the suspension system, China's market regulator said on Saturday. GM Shanghai said in a text message to Reuters that the suspension arm may be deformed under extreme operating conditions, but there are no known casualties related to the issue. The recall includes cars produced between 2013 and 2018, the State Administration for Market Regulation said in a statement. GM will contact those affected and repair the vehicles free of charge, it said. A Kentucky man has converted his 1939 Dodge pickup to an electric vehicle. Al Gajda of Lexington built the electric truck, which he now uses as his daily driver. "I take advantage of any excuse to drive it; just banging around town, errands, short runs on the interstate, delivering my granddaughter to school in the morning," he says. It is powered by a lithium-ion phosphate battery, which is mounted in a wooden box on the truck bed, and gets about 100 miles per charge. Read more at the Lexington Herald-Leader. Elon Musk will speak at the Automotive News World Congress in January. The Tesla CEO is a featured speaker for the program, "Setting the Pace in a Thriving Market." Production of the Toyota Rav4 EV has ended. The shipment of the final Toyota EVs concludes Toyota's deal to source batteries from Tesla. Cadillac will likely show an improved version of the ELR at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November. The 2016 ELR will include unspecified "engineering enhancements," according to Cadillac spokesman David Caldwell. Uber executives, along with Illinois Governor Pat Quinn, have announced a major expansion of the ride-hailing company's Chicago headquarters. Uber also plans to add 420 jobs by the end of 2016.
