This is a very nice running and driving car! absolutely rust free! and in amazing condition considering its 48 years old. I am selling this for my friend. He purchased the car in Washington, the car had belonged, since new, to an elderly lady that used it only occasionally and it sat in her garage for most of its life,  and that is where it was found after her passing with its last registration sticker dated 1987. The car was removed from her garage and the the fuel system completely cleaned and fluids changed, a new fuel sender was installed and now she runs and drives like a 4 or 5 year old car! The car just completed a 1000 mile trip and performed beautifully. The interior looks very close to new, with no damage to the original red leather and brocade cloth seats, headliner, dash pad, pot metal all look close to new.  The climate control works as it should but the a/c does not blow real cold so will probably need a re-charge, The AM/FM stereo works, but the power antenna is not working. The power windows, including the very unique 4 power vent windows all work except the passenger side window. The paint is original on the upper surfaces but both sides have had paint work done and have a few dings and scrapes.

Not perfect but real nice is the way I would describe the car.
Mechanically excellent, interior almost perfect, exterior nice but not perfect paint

Jay Leno welcomes a 2016 Cadillac CTS-V into the garage

Tue, Nov 17 2015

After checking out a multitude of classic cars and customs over the past few weeks, Jay Leno switches things up with a modern performance machine in the latest video from the garage – a 2016 Cadillac CTS-V. Leno is curious about Caddy's attempt to challenge the BMW M5 and Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG S, and he takes a long, technical look at the sedan with chief engineer David Leone. Not content to just peek under the hood, Leno puts the CTS-V up on the rack to see what it packs underneath the svelte body. Once he gets the lowdown on the Caddy's engineering, it's time for a drive. Leno also flexes his interviewing skills while behind the wheel and gets even more info about the CTS-V's capabilities from Leone. He seems fairly impressed, but Leno's most entertaining question about the 640-horsepower sedan is whether it can do a burnout. He provides a definitive answer to that at the end of the clip. South Dakota dealer filled to brim with classic cars

Wed, 12 Mar 2014

Other than the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally and Mount Rushmore, South Dakota isn't generally a hot topic, but that just means that cool stuff can hide in the open waiting to be discovered. Case in point: the classic car dealer Frankman Motor Company that operates three locations in Sioux Falls, SD.
Unearthed by the folks at Bring a Trailer, Frankman is a treasure trove of vintage, American iron. Their collection is full of the type of vehicles your irresponsible but cool uncle would show up with when you were a kid. Even better, these cars are priced at a level a working man can afford.
If you are lusting about a cruiser then Frankman has a 1956 Cadillac Deville Hard Top Sedan (pictured right) with 82,896 miles for $12,975. It's painted a color called Cascade Grey, but looks more like a pastel purple in pictures. While it needs some repairs to the accessories, the Caddy runs and drives, which is all you really need.

Mercedes leads in US luxury car thefts

Wed, 31 Jul 2013

Mercedes-Benz makes some fine automobiles. The Silver Arrow'd cars are so good, apparently, that thieves can't help but try to steal them. The German brand is at the top of the charts for luxury car thefts in the US, according to the National Insurance Crime Bureau, with New York City leading the way. (And those New Yorkers complain about Detroit being bad!)
The C-Class was the most stolen model, with 485 ganked between 2009 and 2012 in NYC alone, while the E-Class and S-Class (which also boasted the worst recovery rate, at 59 percent) both finished in the top ten. Following the C-Class was the BMW 3 Series and Infiniti G. Not surprisingly, each of these were the most common models in their respective lineups. Los Angeles and Miami are also prime hotspots for luxury car thefts, according to the Detroit News report.
While getting your car stolen is pretty awful, there was one inspiring statistic compiled by the NICB - the average recovery rate across the board was 84 percent, with the Cadillac CTS getting recovered 91 percent of the time.
