1952 Cadillac Series 75 Limo (non-divider Window) on 2040-cars
Saint Augustine, Florida, United States
Bid is for a complete package of 1952 Golden Anniversary Cadillac limo and transport trailer, also original engine on engine stand.
This 1952 limousine (non-divider window) is an excellent and solid vehicle to complete restoration on. Car has been dry-stored for all the years I have owned it. Actual true mileage unknown. Complete with all parts and trim, fender skirts, original drivetrain a running removal and retained. All glass good, power windows, power steering. A running small block Chevy 350/350 Turbohydramatic has been roughed into place. Original 331 needs a rebuild, and original trans was a working but leaking take-out. Power steering box has been rebuilt by Lares Corp and reinstalled. No evidence of outer body rust through, although floor pan repair is required due to typical pan rust damage, and a small rust spot in the spare tire well. The frame is excellent. Chrome: front bumper is decent, rear bumper will need a rechrome. A complete extra front grill assembly is included to combine with the original and make a complete grill assembly without requiring new chrome. Lower rocker panel stainless trim on each front fender will need to be straightened. Interior: seats and door panels in good condition, headliner good except for 1 small tear. New carpet kit required. Body: no outer-body rust. There is damage on the lower front fenders from transport years ago; dent needs to be pulled out and trim straightened on each front fender quarter. Otherwise the body is straight and dent free. All doors open/close with no sagging, and alignment is excellent. Brakes and wheel bearings inspected and serviced. Brake master cylinder and brake system needs to be bleed. Tires are good. Car has clear Florida title. Included as a complete package with this car is an oversized 2004 Challenger car trailer with a 20-foot diamond plate steel deck. This 7000lb dual-axle trailer has pull-out ramps, tires replaced 2 1/2years ago with only 1000 miles on them, and wheel bearings were serviced at that time. Electric winch that pulls this heavy car on/off the trailer. Front tire straps. Trailer is in overall good condition and was last used 2 years ago on a 1000 mile trip. Occasional towed to keep the bearings limber. Clear Florida title. This Cadillac limo will not fit on a standard size auto trailer. The car will be loaded on the trailer and ready for transport with cash or your certified bank check cleared. This is a heavy load; I use a F350 to pull it. Selling due to relocation and other time requirements. Feel free to ask questions....... |

General Motors posts record earnings, but global sales fall
Thu, Apr 21 2016General Motors started the year with record success. The automaker's $2.7 billion in adjusted earnings before interest and taxes was its highest ever in in the first quarter of 2016, up from $2.1 billion in from the same time period a year earlier. Net income grew to $1.95 billion, which was more than double the $953 million in the same period last year. The company's figures also beat analysts' predictions, according to the Detroit Free Press. Despite the financial growth, global sales actually decreased by 2.5 percent to 2.36 million vehicles. "We're growing where it counts, gaining retail share in the US, outpacing the industry in Europe and capitalizing on robust growth in SUV and luxury segments in China," CEO Mary Barra said in the company's financial announcement. GM did well in North America with an adjusted EBIT of $2.3 billion, up from $2.2 billion last year. Sales in the region also grew 1.2 percent to 800,000 vehicles. The company's average vehicle was $34,600 in Q1, about $3,000 more than the industry average. Elsewhere in the world, GM also showed improvement. Europe practically broke even after losing about $200 million last year, and Opel and Vauxhall sales grew 8.4 percent to more than 300,000 vehicles for the quarter. South America only lost $100 million, which was half as much as Q1 2015's $200 million loss. China remained flat at $500 million of income. Cadillac volume jumped 6.1 percent there, and Buick's deliveries increased 22 percent, thanks to the Envision crossover's success. Meet the next president's new Beast, a giant bomb-proof limo
Fri, Jan 22 2016We don't know who will be our president in 2017, but now we have a better idea of how that person will be transported on land. The next presidential limo, officially referred to as the presidential state car, will be another Cadillac. And a big one. You're looking at a lone spy photo of a car that will be of high interest to actual spies – not to mention Secret Service agents and lots of law-enforcement types. President Obama has been riding around in a Cadillac nicknamed The Beast for a while now. (It recently made an appearance on Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.) Over the Secret Service radios, it goes by Cadillac One and Limo One. While the current car looks like a stretched Cadillac DTS sedan, it's actually kind of huge and built on a Chevrolet Kodiak medium-duty truck chassis. The same is likely to be true again, but this one will look a lot more like the latest Cadillac models. Through the camo we can see a front end reminiscent of the new CT6 large sedan. Imagine one of those scaled to about 5/3 of the production car and you've got the right idea. Fun fact: It will be the first presidential limo to feature Caddy's new wreathless crest logo on its grille. View 6 Photos As for features, we're in the dark and will remain so even after the new president-mover goes into service. The details are a legitimate matter of national security, but you can bet it's bulletproof, can withstand small bombs, and has some kind of onboard secondary air supply in case of a chemical or biomedical warfare attack. Oh, and it has that big red phone in back in the event things get really bad. The new one will no doubt carry the latest communications and safety technology. The new presidential limousine has been in the works for some time. The government sent out a request for proposals in 2013, and this model is expected to go into service sometime in 2017. Chances are it will make its debut at the inauguration of [INSERT CONTROVERSIAL NAME HERE] in about a year's time. Related Video:
Five awesome Lego car creations
Thu, 23 Oct 2014Lego cars are among our favorite toys. They're fun for play, and if built properly, great to display. With that in mind, we've crafted a list of some of the best creations we've seen. Some are on sale now, while others are merely the work of fanciful enthusiasts. There are even a couple that you definitely cannot buy (we'll explain).
Our choices are diverse, including everything from a diminutive 1969 Chevy Corvette to a fullsize Ferrari Formula One racecar. These are just five projects that caught our eye - there are many more out there - so if you don't see your favorite Lego car on the list (or if you have your own creation), please tell us about it, in Comments.
