Cadillac Eldorado Covertable 1973 Solid Arizona Car No Reserve !!!!!!! on 2040-cars
Schenectady, New York, United States
This Is a solid Arizona car with just a little surface rust. The frame is solid but the floor boards have a few pin holes. The car is in need of a total restoration. The convertible top needs replacing and the frame is broke. I believe you can order the parts that the top frame needs. The top motor works. The rear seat has been recovered but the front seats need recovering, Covers included. The motor and transmission are strong. The tires are very good and it has aluminum wheels. I was told that they are a rare factory option when I purchased the car. I tried to google pictures of other wheels like these from the factory but I could not find any. So I can't confirm that the wheels are from the factory. I have all four wheels but the spare Is currently on the left front. When I registered the car last year it had an Arizona title from the early 80's. I purchased the car from a collector who says he had it in storage for a few years. He never applied for a New York title. It currently has a clear New York Title. I believe it has most of the chrome trim, It was off the car when I purchased it. It has a new battery that is not currently installed. When I went to reinstall it I could not open the hood, it is stuck closed so I have not started it yet this year. When It was parked last year it ran and drove good, so I would expect the same when the battery is reinstalled. This was going to be a father and son project but I just don't have the time for it. This is a no reserve auction, Good luck bidding..

GM claims it's first to sell million 30+ mpg vehicles
Fri, 04 Jan 2013As we continue to put together all the data for the year-end edition of By The Numbers, General Motors has announced that it sold more than a million vehicles in the US last year that achieved at least 30 miles per gallon on the highway. More impressively, GM managed this feat using multiple strategies including small vehicle size, turbocharged engines and hybrid or plug-in technologies across four brands (Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC) accounting for 13 separate models. This number will grow even more in 2013 thanks to cars like the all-electric Spark, the diesel Cruze, the range-extended Cadillac ELR and the Buick Encore compact CUV.
GM's small car sales were up 39 percent last year helping to attain this million-sales mark for 30-mpg models, and almost 40 percent of all GM sales consisted of cars with fuel-efficient I4 engines. In regards to more advanced means of improving fuel economy, GM says that it plans on having 500,000 vehicles with "some form of electrification" on the road by 2017.

Why Cadillac is willing to lose 43 percent of its dealers
Sun, Sep 25 2016Cadillac is offering about 400 dealers in the United States a lump sum of money to close down. That represents over 40 percent of Cadillac dealers in America. Offers start at $100,000 and top out at $180,000. The average offering is around $120,000. According to Automotive News, Cadillac chief Johan De Nysschen estimates it will cost the automaker around $50 million to close these dealers. Any dealer that chooses to remain open will have to submit to Cadillac's ambitious Project Pinnacle, which will divide dealers into incentive categories based on how many units they sell. "Every single Cadillac dealer will have the potential to earn significantly higher profits than they do today," says De Nysschen. Dealers have until November 21 to decide if they want to take the cash or submit to Project Pinnacle. A logical question: Why is Cadillac willing to spend $50 million to close down 43 percent of its dealers? First, GM's luxury brand has way more dealerships than it needs. Second, the 400 dealers with offers to shutter each sold 50 or fewer vehicles in 2015, representing just 9 percent of its sales volume in America. So, while closing these smaller dealerships may have a small initial impact on sales, it's not going to be a major hit to Cadillac. Hear the new Cadillac CTS-V torture some tires
Thu, Dec 25 2014The 2016 Cadillac CTS-V seems like the type of wonderful gift that Santa might cook up in his workshop for one extraordinarily good boy or girl. However, the first chance for most people to actually see the super sedan and its carbon fiber pieces in real life is at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show in January. As a stocking stuffer until then, Caddy has released this video highlighting the latest V-Series roasting its tires better than any dinner for the holidays. With the supercharged 6.2-liter V8 from the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 nestled into the CTS-V's engine bay, the Cadillac certainly has quite a bark coming from its exhaust. The mill might be detuned slightly from the 'Vette to 640 horsepower and 630 pound-feet of torque, but that's still plenty for this smoky application. Enjoy this tease of the future V-Series, ahead of the Detroit show.
