This immaculate Eldorado Biarritz only has 42k miles.

If ever there was a car that automotive enthusiasts and non-automotive enthusiasts alike will come together on, the Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz is the one. Most will agree that this is one of the most beautifully proportioned and tasteful GM vehicles ever produced. It gets approving comments whenever it is driven from the young, old, male, and female alike about how great looking it is. That makes a strong statement about the future collectability of these Eldorados.

This Eldorado body(79-85), designed by famed GM stylist Bill Mitchell continue to get better looking as the years go by as they evolve into a timeless classic. A unique ensemble of Cadillac tradition in design with it's limo style rear window and the rear of the car having definite styling cues from the 67-70 Eldorados. The Biarritz package raised the bar considerably with it's stainless steel roof which was a nod back to the 57 and 58 Eldorado Broughams. The Biarritz also included a wide chrome strip perfectly placed across the roof and then sweeping down the tops of the doors on down to the end of the front fenders. Pillow back tufted leather or velour interiors were much more plush than the non-Biarritz Eldorado. Padded landau vinyl roofs were standard on the Biarritz as well.

1984 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Cotillian WhiteAutumn with Dark Maple Leather interior.

This body style serves as the pinnacle of 1980s Cadillac design and the demand for this body amongst collectors has never been higher. Cadillac aficionados are snapping the best examples up for their collections.  From a design standpoint, this was GM at it's finest hour. These Eldorados were the last of a classic style era which will never be produced again.

I have had the privilege of owning several of these Eldorados in my 20+ years of Cadillac collecting, and this particular example is one of the sharpest and best driving of them all. This Biarritz was owned by a fellow collector before I got it, and he purchased it from the original owner. With only 42k miles, this Cadillac needs no excuses and stands well to be a very lucrative long term investment.

Nothing quite like a white Biarritz of this era. Not only one of the best resale colors, the white paint gives the car a very classic traditional look and really sets off all of the chrome.

Rub strips are like new with no scrapes. Lenses are perfect.

This Cadillac has been professionally detailed and could be put directly into a car show as it sits.

The chrome on this Cadillac is near perfect with no pitting whatsoever.

No worries of cracking filler panels around the bumpers, the fillers on this Eldorado are like new.

Class at every angle.

.

Again, beautiful chrome with no rubs on the bumper rub strips. Body is laser straight. Very glossy paint.

This Biarritz has the Touring Suspension package which gives the car better handling in the curves and also has tighter more responsive steering.

This Cadillac shows even better in person.

The rear of the car having definite styling cues from the 67-70 Eldorados.

Perfect factory stance

Time capsule.

Factory electric antenna works as new

This is a rust free car

Unlike the stadard Eldorado the biarritz package gave you the upgraded pillow back tufted seats.

The Dark Maple interior color is a perfect contrast to the Cotillian White exterior.

The leather on this car is in the condition of a 10k mile car. A sight to behold.

The AC was replaced in July of this year and blows ice cold. It has been converted to 134.

Drivers seat leather,, amazing!

Leather perfection

Something I have never seen on one of these, a Cadillac dealer upgraded this car to have a factory GM keyless entry system. Two remotes and they work perfectly. Would love to have this on all of my cars.

This Cadillac has all of its original floor mats and trunk mat.

Engine runs very smooth. Very tight driving car.

2014 Cadillac CTS starts $7k higher than last model at $46,025*

Thu, 13 Jun 2013

The redesigned 2014 Cadillac CTS will be more powerful, stylish and luxurious than its predecessor, but it will also be much more expensive. With a new starting price of $46,025 (*including $925 for destination), the 2014 CTS represents a price increase of more than $7,000 compared to the 2013 model, but it should be more appropriately sized and equipped to take on rivals like the BMW 5 Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class, which start at $47,800 and $51,900, respectively.
Available trim levels - referred to as Collections - include Luxury, Performance and Premium, offering either a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder or a 3.6-liter V6 and the choice of either rear- or all-wheel-drive configurations. For more performance, the all-new CTS Vsport model will have an asking price of $59,995. This 420-horsepower model is more powerful than both the BMW 550i and Mercedes E550 and about $2,000 less expensive than both.
There's still no word on what Cadillac has in store for a next-gen CTS-V sedan, but we're guessing power and price will both rise considerably. Scroll down for more info on the 2014 CTS that is set to go on sale this fall.

Cadillac shows 2015 Escalade interior

Tue, 01 Oct 2013

Following the reveal of the new GMC Yukon, Chevy Tahoe and Suburban, the next in line is Cadillac, which is set to unveil the new Escalade on October 7 in New York. And in the lead-up to the reveal, the company has released this third teaser image, giving us a good glimpse of the 'Slade's interior.
Or part of the interior, we should say, because while the image above clearly shows the new dashboard and center console, as well as parts of the front seats and interior door panels, the Escalade is most certainly not a two-seat coupe. The outgoing Escalade can accommodate up to eight in either standard or ESV form (but not in EXT pickup configuration), and the new model promises to deliver the same, and we're curious to see what Cadillac has in store for the rear passenger compartment.
Compared to its more accessible counterparts, the new Escalade clearly offers a more upscale environment than even the uplevel Yukon Denali, with softer-looking leather, richer wood veneer and a waterfall center infotainment console that's different from the more modular design in the Chevy and GMC. The steering wheel is also unique and the instrument cluster appears to meld more smoothly across the dashboard, but the door mirrors, wide center armrest, column shifter and A-pillar grab handle all look like they were carried over from the Escalade's platform mates.

Junkyard Gem: 1998 Cadillac Catera

Wed, Dec 14 2016

A decade or so after Ford tried to swipe some US-market sales from European luxury marques by selling the German-built Ford Scorpio with Merkur badging, General Motors opted to sell the German-built Opel Omega luxury sedan as a Cadillac. The Catera was a reasonably nimble rear-wheel-drive sedan with a 200-horse DOHC V6 engine, and its badge-engineered nature made it a much less costly gamble than, say, the Cadillac Allante, which had its bodies built in Italy and flown to Michigan for assembly. Unfortunately, it had no manual transmission option, and Americans who remembered the miserable US-market Opels of the 1970s were put off by the Catera's Opelness. Its $29,995 list price was quite a bit cheaper than that of the (slightly less powerful) $39,800 BMW 528i and a bit less than the (slightly more powerful) $33,585 Acura 3.2 TL's cost, but the Catera didn't sell in large numbers. This one made it to a respectable mileage figure, and the nice interior shows that it was well-cared-for during its 18 years on the road. The ads for the Catera featured a cartoon duck named Ziggy. Fast, fun, fiendishly flexible! By 2000, Cadillac had ditched the duck and was touting the Catera's value. Related Video:
