I had originally bought the car to be used as a weekend driver, and to take it to e few local car shows. I just have too many other projects going on right now, and do not have the time to work on it anymore. The car to the best of my knowledge is all original from the ground up, other then any repairs I have made. This is the Biaritz Eldorado, so it was the top of the line Eldorado at the time.
Condition of interior: All of the power lock, windows, and seats work. The radio and power antenna work good, as well as all the speakers. I put a new head liner in, but would need to be finished. The rear side panels over the back seat were damage and could not be save. I found two replacements, but are white, and would have to be died red to match. The leather seats are in great shape, and show no real signs of wear. Everything else in the interior is in great shape with little to no signs of wear.
Condition of exterior: I was told the car was stored all winter long, and was inside when not being driven. So there is just some minor rust in a couple areas, but you need to be up close to find. All the chrome is in great shape, with little to no pitting. The stainless roof is in great shape, and the vinyl part of the roof is in great shape as well. The automatic trunk latch works well also.
Drivability: Just before I put the car into storage, the computer would only allow it to run in limp mode. According to the Cadillac manual I have for the car the computer is not communicating with the distributor. So it may either be the ignition module, or a signal failure on the signal wire. I have just not had the time to make the repair. Before this failure the car ran like a top, and went down the road just as well. I went through and replace every gasket I could on the motor, and put a new timing set in as well. I had the gas tank cleaned and lined, with a new fuel pump installed. I also started to put in a gauge cluster, to show temp, voltage, and oil pressure. As the car only came with indicator lights in the dash.
Things you would have to do: The gauge cluster has to finish being installed. .The bottom of the dash is removed, so I could access the computer to troubleshoot the ignition issue. Other then that you shouldn't have to do anything else with the car.
List of things to go with the car, Cadillac factory repair manual and electrical diagram, 2nd Engine computer. I also have a radiator core support, head light and grill assembly with the grill and headlights to go with the car.

Cadillac shows dealers convertible rendering
Tue, 28 Oct 2014Cadillac is getting serious about revitalizing and expanding its lineup, and to that end, a new report claims that brand boss Johan de Nysschen has been showing plans for several new models to the marque's dealer body - among them, a new convertible.
The droptop which Cadillac reportedly showed its dealers in sketch form, would be based on the same platform as the ATS and CTS, those it's unclear to which (if either) of those model lines the new convertible would be added, or whether the design features a canvas or folding hardtop roof. One way or another, it would be the first time Cadillac would offer a convertible since the Corvette-based XLR roadster was discontinued more than five years ago.
Quoting an unnamed brand spokesperson, Cadillac would "like to introduce an open car to the portfolio at some point," however, "it's not likely to be one of the near-term portfolio additions."
GM recalling Cadillac ATS, XTS, Chevy Impala over faulty brake lamps
Thu, 06 Jun 2013General Motors has issued a recall covering 1,627 sedans over faulty brake lamps. Both the 2013 Cadillac ATS and XTS are affected by this problem, as is the 2014 Chevrolet Impala.
According to an official National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report, "the brake lamps may intermittently flash without the brakes being applied and the cruise control may disengage" on these vehicles. The report does not state that the brakes themselves are faulty, but rather that "if the brake lamps flash when the vehicle is not slowing, a following driver may not adjust vehicle speed when the vehicle is in fact braking."
This marks the first recall for the 2013 Cadillac ATS, as well as the recently introduced 2014 Chevy Impala. In late 2012, over 12,000 Cadillac XTS models were recalled due to a head restraint issue.
What will the next Presidential limo look like?
Thu, 25 Jul 2013With recent news that the Secret Service has begun soliciting proposals for a new armored limousine, we've been wondering what the next presidential limo might look like. The current machine, nicknamed "The Beast", has a design based on a car that's no longer sold: the Cadillac DTS. If General Motors gets the job again, which wouldn't be a surprise considering the government still owns a chunk of the company, the next limo's shape would likely resemble the new XTS (below, left). But Cadillac hasn't always been the go-to car company for presidential whips.
Lincoln has actually provided far more presidential limousines throughout history than Cadillac. In fact, the first car modified for Commander-in-Chief-carrying duty was a 1939 Lincoln K-Series called "Sunshine Special" used by Franklin D. Roosevelt, and the last Lincoln used by a president was a 1989 Town Car ordered for George H.W. Bush. If President Obama wanted a Lincoln today, it would likely be an amalgam of the MKS sedan and MKT crossover, as illustrated above.
And what about Chrysler? The only record we could find of a President favoring the Pentastar is Nixon, who reportedly ordered two limos from the company during his administration in the '70s, and then another one, known today as the "K-Car limo," in the '80s after he left office. Obama, however, has a personal - if modest - connection to Chryslers, having owned a 300 himself before he took office. A 300-based Beast (above, right) would certainly earn the U.S. some style points.
