1976 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible Mint Low Miles Tuxedo White Black on 2040-cars
Sea Girt, New Jersey, United States
Roll out the Red Carpet for this arrival. Exquisite in White and Black. Long and Wide, feels like Celebrity on Wheels. Beautiful Black Leather, soft, not torn or worn. and no cracks or sag. No interior loose knobs, dashboard cracks, missing interior trim, scratches, no foggy speedometer glass or over polished chrome trim or even worn looking carpet. Power Top, Locks, Antenna & Seats. Excellent chrome bumpers, high gloss paint and with excellent glass and weather stripping. No missing parts, all badges are clean and nice. Clean trunk with jack, spare and instructions. Brochure and Glove Box Manual. Apology: This has replaced bumper extensions, most originals crack after many years. The paint looks mismatched, it takes differently to the material, many were originally so I am told. I think a better paint match could be done. I got an estimate of $300 and that is figured into my price. The colors look far more off in a photo. Another item is the drivers side front seat has one of six functions not working. It is the tilt for the rear of the seat. Maybe a broken drive cable. An interior auto shop said you have to take the seat out to check. Alternatively it could be the little transmission for the seat. They are for sale for about $60.00 on ebay. I am 6 feet and it needs no adjustment. Summer is here. Live The car does not smoke nor do the driver(s) or any passengers. Contact for questions please. 732-915-5357. Subject to Sale Prior to Auction End. |

Cadillac planning its own engines, halo cars
Tue, 30 Sep 2014Cadillac is in the midst of some big changes. It's got a new chief executive. It's taking some distance from parent company General Motors and moving to a new headquarters in New York. And it's instituting a new naming scheme that will allow not only for a more clear progression in its lineup, but also for more models. But that's not the end of the story. Not by a long shot.
Speaking with Automobile magazine, Cadillac's new president Johan de Nysschen revealed his intention to develop several new models and powertrains. For starters, he does not want Cadillac to continue borrowing engines from the GM parts bin, but intends to develop a new range of engines specifically for the luxury automaker. The program will likely start with smaller-capacity engines but eventually lead to new V8s as well, taking the place of the long-serving Northstar engine that finally ended its lifespan a few years ago after some two decades of production. Along with other technologies, de Nysschen envisions possibly sharing these powertrains with other GM divisions, but developing them first and foremost for Cadillac.
The bigger question, however, is where those engines would go, and de Nysschen had some thoughts to share on that front as well. For starters, the former Infiniti and Audi exec sees room for an even bigger sedan above the upcoming new CT6 that will cap the current range. Maybe even two of them. But that's not all. Johan wants to see Cadillac get (back) into the sports car game with a new halo model or two - something it hasn't really done since the Corvette-based XLR roadster. A pair of new crossovers are also said to be in the works, flanking the SRX on both sides with smaller and larger models.
Cadillac prices 410-hp XTS Vsport from $63,020*
Mon, 24 Jun 2013Cadillac has officially released pricing for the 2014 XTS Vsport. Buyers can expect to pay $63,020 for the fleet four-door, including destination and handling fees. That kind of coin will snag you a twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter V6 good for 410 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. As you likely already know, engineers have done a lot more than simply bolt a pair of turbos onto the company's tried and true naturally aspirated 3.6-liter V6. The engine uses an all-new block, strengthened connecting rods and domed aluminum pistons and is fed through a revised direct-injection fuel system. Combined, the tweaks allow the V6 to suck down 12 psi of boost.
The price tag puts the 2014 Cadillac XTS Vsport well under potential (if ambitious) competitors like the Audi S6 at $71,900, plus destination fees. A base BMW 550i will set you back $62,700, excluding destination charges, but throwing options at the German sedan will quickly see that number climb higher. Cadillac snags de Nysschen from Infiniti, names him new president
Fri, 11 Jul 2014Johan de Nysschen, the (now former) president of Infiniti, has officially jumped ship. The 54-year-old, who also spent time as the chief executive for Audi USA, has taken the position of president at Cadillac, following a two-year stint at the Nissan-owned luxury brand. In his new role, the 54-year-old will be responsible "for all aspects of Cadillac globally," according to a statement from General Motors.
"Johan brings to our company vast experience in the development and proper execution of luxury automotive brands," said GM President Dan Ammann, de Nysschen's new boss. "With over 20 years in this exact space, especially in the development of the Audi brand, his track record proves he is the perfect executive to lead Cadillac for the long term."
"I have for some time now been impressed by how the new General Motors has been transformed into a formidable force in the industry," de Nysschen said in a statement. "The combination of strong corporate leadership and exceptional engineering resources presents the perfect combination to restore Cadillac to its place among global premium brands."
