This Cadillac Eldorado was first delivered to THOMAS CADILLAC INC on 9-25-1975, and bought in Los Angeles Ca, at THOMAS CADILLAC INC. I Purchased this car from the ORIGINAL OWNER "little old Lady from Pasadena" (actually from Camarillo Ca,) (This is a ONE OWNER CAR)
The Eldorado was always garaged and never taken out in the rain. It sports the original factory metallic gold paint in excellent condition. No dents, dings or scrapes. and The tan half vinyl roof is in perfect condition. The chrome and stainless exterior trim are in perfect condition, as well.
The interior has the original tan leather that is still factory soft. Door panels and the headliner are perfect. The radio receives AM and FM, and as a bonus, the 8 track player works. The Eldorado is equipped with Automatic Climate Control which blows hot air on the floor when set to heat, and cold air from the dash vents when set to cold. The Power Windows and Power Door Locks work well. The car also has Power Seats, Cruise Control, and Twilight Sentinel. This is a non-smoking car. "still has the new car smell, seriously!"
The Eldorado is equipped with the 500 cubic inch engine with the Quadrajet carburetor fuel system, hydraulic assist Power Brakes, Power Steering and front wheel drive. The engine starts right up, has lots of power, the transmission shifts smoothly and the four wheel disc brakes provide quick, sure stops. Cadillac has been well maintained all of it's life. Oil was changed every 2000 miles. Car runs Fabulous!
All original, unmolested, squeaky clean, 37 year old cars don't come up too often. This 1976 Cadillac Eldorado in the optional extra cost factory Florentine Gold Firemist paint, set off with the tan vinyl roof and tan leather interior is a fine example of a desirable car built in a time when Cadillac was king of the road.
The Eldorado is located in Ventura Ca, and comes with a clear California title.
The Eldorado is 37 years old and is sold "as is." There is no warranty. Delivery, shipping, and transportation cost are the responsibility of the buyer. Registration fees, transfer fees, license fees, emission test and fees, safety fees are the responsibility of the buyer. "I will help find shipper if needed, and will help to make transaction smooth as possible."
Please keep in mind that this is a 37 year old car, it is not a show car, but it is in Excellent shape for it's age and drives like a CADILLAC, Thanks and Happy Bidding!

This 1969 Ford F-100 has a Cadillac CTS-V engine lurking underhood
Fri, Jan 30 2015Something always feels just a little taboo when someone builds a custom and then slots in a powertrain from a rival automaker. That's exactly the case with this modded 1969 Ford F-100 boasting a highly tuned LSA supercharged V8 like from the second-gen Cadillac CTS-V. However, with a claimed 800 horsepower on tap thanks in part to running an estimated 20 pounds of boost, it's easy to get over any bad feelings. Built by Tommy Pike Customs in South Carolina, the truck tries to keep the exterior looking somewhat stock. Although, the jade green and satin gold paint, Quaker State logo, lowered suspension and black wheels immediately suggest something is up. Once the F-100 starts up with its menacing growl, absolutely any doubts of this beast being unaltered are immediately gone. Not so obvious are some tweaks to actually help put all that power down, including disc brakes and independent suspension setups at the front and rear. The video gives some glimpses at a few of Pike's other creations, but the real star here is definitely his mean, green Ford.
Cadillac SRX production moving to TN, next-gen Equinox going to Mexico
Fri, 29 Aug 2014It's a good week for the town of Spring Hill, TN, as General Motors has announced that its factory in the city of 31,000 will receive a $185 million contract to produce engines. On top of that, the next-generation Cadillac SRX crossover will be built at the factory (NA models are presently built in Ramos, Arizpe Mexico), which was once famous for being the home of GM's now-defunct Saturn brand.
The factory is one of GM's six facilities around the globe that will screw together the company's new line of three- and four-cylinder Ecotec engines. Spring Hill currently builds the 2.0-liter, turbocharged Ecotec, as well as the naturally aspirated 2.4 and 2.5-liter variants.
Spring Hill's vehicle assembly lines were idled in 2009, but were reactivated in 2011. The SRX is just one of the products meant to benefit from last year's $350-million investment, and should have a positive impact, creating or retaining around 1,800 positions at the factory.
Cadillac ad boss is happy controversial Poolside TV ad created debate
Thu, Mar 6 2014Remember Cadillac's controversial commercial for it ELR plug-in hybrid? Did you find it provocative? If so, that's a good thing according to the brand's advertising director, Craig Bierley. First aired during NBC's coverage of the Olympic opening ceremony, the minute-long spot returned to the tele again this weekend, bookending the Academy Awards on ABC. Titled Poolside, the bit was meant as "brand provocation" and whether you enjoyed it or not – sentiment is said to run 3:1 on the pro side – we can probably all agree it fulfilled its role as such. If you were one of those who felt the ad erred on the side of nationalistic consumerism (or what have you), your anger might be somewhat assuaged after reading this article from Advertising Age in which Bierley addresses most of what he believes are misconceptions about the message. For one, the spot isn't aimed at the One Percent, just those who make $200,000 a year. Or, as Craig Bierley, Cadillac's advertising director, calls them, "people who haven't been given anything." Bierley told Advertising Age that the spot doesn't celebrate workaholicsm, instead, "We're not making a statement saying, 'We want people to work hard.' What we're saying is that hard work has its payoffs.'" While our commentors seemed mostly to enjoy discussing the value proposition that is (or is not, depending on your point of view) the Cadillac ELR, the majority appeared to enjoy the commercial. If you were one of those offended, however, let us know if your opinion has changed upon reading Cadillac's defense. If you don't remember what all the fuss was about, scroll below to take another dip in Poolside.
