Original time capsule barn find: 1975 Cadillac Eldorado. Purchased new at Bill Olsens Motors in Wray Colorado on 01-10-1975 with 56 miles. Car currently just turned 12,800 ORIGINAL miles. It is equipped with AM/FM 8-Track with factory dealer test drive 8-track (plays classical music!), power windows, power door locks, power seats, power antennae, climate control, tilt wheel, 500 cu. in. V-8, FWD. Original owners manual, Consumer Information, Warranty Book, and Cadillac Maintenance Schedule included. Everything works as it should except the clock quit working a few months ago. There ARE a few VERY minor blemishes on the exterior like tiny nicks in the paint, but there is no rust anywhere. The plastic piece below the license plate is cracked. The interior is near perfect. The carpet appears like new underneath the factory rubber floor mats. The dash, headliner, seats and door panels are near perfect. The vinyl top is near perfect. The weatherstripping looks and feels like new. The chrome and stainless are near perfect.  The controls all work like new- the windows roll up and down with no funny noises, cruise control works as it should, door locks etc. The climate control was converted to 134A refrigerant and keeps the interior nice and cozy. The motor purrs like a kitten. This Cadillac looks, smells, runs and drives just like a brand new 1975 Cadillac Eldorado. Vehicle inspection is available and encouraged. Vehicle is a 38 year old classic and is sold AS-IS. Call or email with any questions  (505) 975-1900. Thank you!

Cadillac CT6 ushers in new naming convention

Wed, 24 Sep 2014

Johan de Nysschen has been at his new post as president of Cadillac for not even three months , but he's already seen two of his most notable accomplishments from his two-year tenure as president of Infiniti matched by Cadillac. The brand has announced that it is relocating its headquarters, and is now officially changing its nomenclature.
The brand's new flagship model will abandon the familiar three-letter designation enjoyed by every other model in the range (aside from the Escalade), and adopt an alpha-numeric title. So, rather than the expected title of LTS, Cadillac's top-end car will be called the CT6.
Of course, this won't be limited to just one model. According to Cadillac's press release, "familiar lettering like 'CT' would be used for car models, with the number indicating the relative size and position of the cars in the hierarchy of Cadillac models." And yes, that means what you think it means - Cadillac will use the exact same naming formula, albeit with different letters, as Infiniti.

Cadillac previews upcoming new XT5 crossover [UPDATE]

Thu, Sep 10 2015

UPDATE: Cadillac has released another three images, which we've added to the gallery above. Cadillac is gearing up to unveil its new XT5 crossover at the Dubai Motor Show in November. We've already seen what it'll look like - from a couple of angles, anyway - but the all-American luxury automaker has given us another taste of what's to come with a quartet of images released on its official Facebook page. Set to replace the SRX that's now six years old, the all-new XT5 adopts the new design language we've seen on newer Cadillacs of late. That's most particularly emphasized with those vertically integrated LED headlights. The sharply creased styling is also signature Cadillac, as is the egg-crate grille capped by the brand's wreath-less new emblem. The dark brown paint job also looks like it has a deep metallic flake to it, offset by satin brightwork where you might have once expected to see glinting chrome. (Then again, it could just be reflecting a uniform backdrop.) The XT5 is expected to be the first of several new Caddy crossovers to wear the letters XT. A smaller model (likely to be dubbed XT3) is tipped to slot in below, with a larger XT7 to slot in above – but still below the defiantly truck-based Escalade that's not about to go anywhere anytime soon. Sedans will continue to start their nameplates with the letters CT. But after a dozen years, the letters SRX will be retired from the Cadillac lexicon. Related Video:
