Medina, Ohio, United States

Vehicle Description:

1968 Cadillac Eldorado project/restore:

Car is locally advertised so in the event an offer is accepted, I reserve right to end auction early so do not wait.

This is a 5 day no reserve auction. Please only bid if you intend on following thru with purchase and have funds in order prior to auction end.

OK now for the car description...

It is recently out of 30+ year storage from ORIGINAL OWNER and ready for a new owner to bring her back to glory.

Car is equipped with power everything along with air conditioning.

I will be happy to answer any questions. Just email them. I also encourage the prospective buyers to view the car first if possible? Or have someone look at it for you.

ONLY 52,000 ORIGINAL Miles since New

I also have the ORIGINAL Dealer Invoice for car.

 Interior:

-Seats are 100% original factory white leather. They are  in decent shape with your normal leather cracks for their age but no tears or holes.

- Dashboard is great. Looks like new.

- Drivers side door panel needs replaced or fixed. The armrest is cracked.

- Power Windows ALL work good.

-All lights interior and exterior work

-A/c needs charged/serviced from sitting

Exterior:

-The paint on the car is the factory special order firemist blue.  Current condition of paint is fair(needs repainted).  The car is overall  solid with minimal rust issues to address.  Floors seems to be in good shape along with trunk floor.

The trunk lid is rusted on rear lip but for additional $200, I know someone local here who has a rust free southern trunk lid. I could get it for buyer if interested??

-         Front and rear bumpers are in average condition. No rust but chrome is a bit hazy.

-         Door handle chrome is driver quality

-         All Stainless trim on car is in great shape

Engine:

This car has not been driven since 1978.  A wire from the ignition switch on dash to starter went bad and that is why original owner parked the car in 1978 never to drive it again. The car was started 3 years ago from a gas can and hot wiring.

Prior to starting it 3 years ago, the following was replaced

-new spark plugs

-new cap & rotor points

-new wires

-New Oil & Filter change

-Oil was sprayed in each cylinder and engine was first hand cracked to properly lube it up prior to cranking it since it sat so long.

The car started right up but was not driven. There is no exhaust hooked up at this time and I am sure brakes need overhauled as well

NOTE: The car has ALWAYS been stored in doors from 1978 to present.

It is a restoration project and will need to be trailered home.

Note: Any trim missing in photos on the car is located in the trunk (see trunk photo)

I also do have all 4 hub caps and they are included with the sale.

TOP:

Vinyl is in good condition but needs cleaned

I have tried to be very detailed and describe all I know about car. It is a project vehicle. Email questions. Thanks!

Check my feedback...      I have sold a few cars in the past and everyone is always very satisfied as I do my best to accurately describe the car in detail.

Thanks again and GOOD LUCK

 Please Keep in  mind…

This car is sold as is with no warranty expressed, written or implied. It is the responsibility of the buyer to have thoroughly inspected the vehicle (personally or through the pictures provided and questions asked), and to have satisfied him or herself as to the condition and value and to bid based upon that judgment solely. The seller has made every reasonable effort to disclose any known defects associated with this vehicle. Bid accordingly and to win. Car has CLEAR OHIO Title.

Meet the other Cadillac wagon. It's as American as ABBA

Tue, Aug 16 2022

The Cadillac CTS Wagon became a cult classic the second it went on sale. We all knew that it was never going to sell in anything approaching significant numbers, and if that "we" didn't include those actually working at GM, one would have to wonder what they were smoking. Cadillac was still having a hard enough time trying to convince people that it was now a BMW-fighting sport luxury brand rather than the purveyor of Grandpa-piloted land yachts. To many, a sport sedan like the CTS seemed like a stretch. But a CTS sport wagon? It sure seemed like GM was just doing things for funzies, an impression only enhanced by the CTS-V Wagon. Forget cult classic. That thing was an instant legend.  And yet, the CTS wasn't the only Cadillac of that era offered as a wagon. It wasn't even the first. Before GM said "to hell with it, let's have some fun" on this side of the pond, over in Europe, it had already taken a page from its old badge-engineering playbook to create the 2006 Cadillac BLS Wagon. It was available as a sedan, too, but its awkward majesty is best enjoyed as the long-roof model.  There's just something off about the whole thing, right? That's probably because it also looks vaguely familiar, as if you've seen it before. So where the hell does this thing come from? Sweden! Behind that Cadillac Art and Science face is a Saab 9-3, and in the case of the BLS Wagon, the Saab 9-3 Sport Combi wagon. The roofline is the dead giveaway, as no other wagon has ever looked like that. In fact, the roof and windows were the only exterior elements to copy directly over from 9-3 to BLS. No kidding. With the Cadillac front end, doesn't the Saab-funky-boxiness make it look like a miniature hearse? The answer is yes. GM's design team, led by Ed Welburn, was quite pleased with his work. Perhaps it even egged him on to create a real Cadillac sport wagon? "The whole team was very excited to apply Cadillac's design language to a wagon for the first time," said Welburn in a press release from the time. "The V-shaped chrome-plated grille, a Cadillac hallmark, is picked up again by the shape of the rear window, and the body side character lines make it unmistakably a Cadillac." The interior is surprisingly different from the 9-3, including the ignition switch migrating from the center console up to the steering column. It also wasn't exactly in keeping with the Cadillac norm of the time.

No, Eminem is not giving away the Cadillac Ciel concept, Facebookers

Thu, Dec 4 2014

Damn it, Facebook people, stop being so gullible. When you see something on social media that requires you to share or like a status or page in exchange for a chance at winning something, it's almost always a hoax. This goes for iPads, or Bill Gates giving away cash or, yes, an Eminem fan page giving away a Cadillac Ciel. Now, normally we'd simply ignore this utter hogwash, but it's getting some traction on Facebook and, annoyingly, is beginning to clog our newsfeed. Ignoring the fact that the Ciel is a pure concept car that likely can't even be registered for regular use, there are more than a few things that should give this nonsense away as a hoax. First, Eminem has only ever gotten in bed with one automaker – Chrysler. It seems unlikely that he'd defect simply to give away a car on Facebook. Secondly, the page that is putting on the giveaway isn't even a verified page – Eminem's real Facebook fan page has 97 million likes, this one has 622,000. Third, a quick look at the caption for the Ciel's photo, shown above, reveals the sort of grammatical mess that no serious contest would allow. Take a look (sic implied throughout): "Only 24 Days Until Christmas, Can you Imagine yourself driving this Car? I'm about to make that happen, Its Official, I Will be giving away this 2014 Cadillac Ciel to one random lucky fan, all you gotta do is follow these three easy steps, Step 1) Share this photo, Step 2) Like my page, Slim Shady Step 3) Like this photo, Winner Will be picked On December 5th 4 Days Away, Good luck to Everyone!!" We reached out to Cadillac spokesman David Caldwell just for fun. Apparently, this photo and schtick pops up every few months with virtually the same text, only to vanish at the end of the "giveaway." You're as shocked as we are, right? So, once again folks, just because it's on the Internet doesn't mean it's true. If your friends, family and acquaintances are blowing up your Facebook feed and social network channels with this nonsense, be sure to set 'em straight with a link to this story – we're sure the real Slim Shady will appreciate it.
