1967 Cadillac Eldorado, rust free, stored for the past 33 years. Atlantis Blue Firemist with a white vinyl top.  This car was owned by the same owner since 1972.  He bought it with 44,346 miles on the car and stop driving at 100118 miles.  He kept meticulous records every time he filled up with gas or made repairs. He took the car off the road to paint it but never had the opportunity to finish. When he took the items off the car he labeled them and kept all fasteners with the items.  The original vinyl top is still with the car. The car jack is in the original factory box. The metal on this car is as nice as it gets.  I can see no rot out any where on this car, including the door pinch welds, trunk lip, and lower fenders.  It looks like most of the car was stripped to bare metal and primed. All the trim for the car is in great condition. The interior is nice original and has the original front floor mats.  The only defect I see is a very small tear in the headliner. The car has a new battery and fires right up. The brakes work, but have a low pedal. The power steering works, but makes some noise, could be low fluid. I re-hung the bumpers for easy transport.  At some point 68 side marker lights were added along with front fender lights.

This is the nicest original body I have seen on one of these cars. I might do some trading.

GM outlines strategy for new products, growth in China

Wed, 01 Oct 2014

"Our strategic plan is a pathway to earn customers for life and create significant shareholder value in the process." - Mary Barra
General Motors laid out ambitious plans on Wednesday to become the world's "most valued automotive company," a goal it says it can reach by strengthening its business in China, rebuilding the Cadillac luxury brand and fixing the foundering GM Europe operations.

2013 Cadillac ATS 3.6 AWD

All-Wheel, All Right
There is no escaping the luxury all-wheel drive empire Audi has built for itself over the past 15 years. While nearly every high-end marque has at least one offering with power at all four corners, the hardware can't help but play second fiddle to Ingolstadt's Quattro kingdom. Leather-lined all-wheel drive is simply Audi the way minimum wage is an English degree. But General Motors seems hell-bent on raiding as many established fiefdoms as possible with the 2013 Cadillac ATS. Engineers and designers made no secret of the fact that the baby Cadillac was penned specifically to take on the BMW 3 Series, but Audi should be no less concerned about the newest luxury prince from Detroit.
GM has been stuffing all-wheel drive systems under their vehicles for years, but the effort hasn't come without nasty side effects. Unfortunate understeer, extra ride height, smallish wheels and porky curb weight meant opting for all-wheel drive was like signing your driving pleasure's death warrant. Would you like polished brass or brushed nickel hardware for your right foot's coffin, sir?

GM's Mark Reuss explains why a performance Cadillac ELR-V won't happen

Tue, Mar 18 2014

Hey, I've got enough things to worry about. That's one interpretation of General Motors executive vice president Mark Reuss' response to a question posed by Driving the Nation about the recently-introduced Cadillac ELR plug-in hybrid. Reuss said GM will "definitely expand the tuning envelope" for the ELR. The question was whether GM would consider adding magnetic ride control to the quite-powerful-for-a-plug-in Caddy, creating an "ELR-V" model in the process. Reuss' non-answer: "Good question, can't really answer that," but then elaborated that magnetic ride control uses up "a lot" of power otherwise spoken for in terms of providing the longest electric-only range possible. Interestingly, he did add that GM will "definitely expand the tuning envelope" for the ELR, as you can see in the video below. With the model retailing for north of $75,000, fewer than 60 percent of US Cadillac dealers were carrying the ELR as of last month and just 99 ELRs were sold during the first two months of the year. In an effort to sell more vehicles, GM said in January that it would offer the ELR for a 39-month lease for $699 a month for qualified lessees and with a $5,999 down-payment required. Autoblog's First Drive impressions of the ELR can be found here.
