1967 Cadillac Eldorado 429 V8 on 2040-cars
Cornell, Wisconsin, United States
1967 Cadillac Eldorado, 429 V8, runs well, but will need a tune up I'm sure. The car hasn't been run much in 5 years and has old gas in the tank. I drove the car about 50 miles in the past couple weeks and everything seemed to be fine. The tires are nearly new, the paint is fair, but showing age, it was painted over 25 years ago. The left rear quarter panel was repaired around 10 years ago after getting backed into. the right rear quarter wheel lip is rusted through on the edge and will need attention. The rest of the car is in very good shape, no rust that I have found. The heater controls had a vacuum leak, so the previous owner put a control panel on the bottom side of the dash, everything works, and could be put back to original if you can find a good control unit. The seats are leather and in pretty good shape, but currently have covers on them. The left side valve cover seeps oil and feels hard, they should probably be replaced anyway. The car comes with three totes of extra parts including a grill, many interior parts, an extra power antenna motor. There is also a set of front fenders in rougher shape, extra front and rear bumpers, and extra rear axle, and some other odds and ends. IT ALL GOES WITH THE CAR. I do not want any parts left over when the car goes.
CASH AT TIME OF PICK UP ONLY!! No I WON'T take a check of any kind, I've been taken too many times, and NO a cashier's check won't work either, I've seen those bad as well.
Come and look the car over before bidding if you wish, I will not guarantee anything at all, it's almost 50 years old. It is original to my knowledge, the previous owner had it for the past 25+ years. I am not interested in trades, please don't bid if you don't have the money.

Cadillac clears camo off the XT3 revealing grille, lighting details
Wed, Dec 6 2017Up until now, every Cadillac XT3 we've seen has been buried under covers and vinyl wraps, but one of our spy photographers recently captured a group of them with significantly less camouflage. As a result, we finally get a relatively clear picture of what the car will look like. The nose blends the look of current Cadillacs with cues from last year's Escala concept. The headlights still appear to stretch up into the top of the fenders like its production brethren, but they don't descend as far down the front fascia, a hint of Escala influence. The grille also features more of egg-crate mesh like that Cadillac concept. In profile, we can see evidence of the XT3's smaller size compared with the XT5, mainly in the lack of any glass area behind the rear door. Other evidence of the smaller size is that our spy photographer reports the cars were being tested alongside the BMW X3 and Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class. The profile also shows that the XT3 will have a hard-edged rear end with a rakish hatch. At the back, there isn't a whole lot to report, but the taillights look like they'll be interesting. There appears to be a horizontal element in the middle of the hatch similar to what we've seen on the Escala and the refreshed XTS. We can also see some lights up on the C-pillar, which indicates that the XT3 will also have tall vertical elements up those pillars like on the Escalade. We expect the XT3 to show up late in 2018. It will likely be powered by a turbocharged four-cylinder of some sort, and because it will probably be based on an existing GM crossover or sedan platform, it will probably have front-wheel drive and/or a front-drive based all-wheel-drive system. Cadillac V-Series Academy comes to Las Vegas [w/video]
Thu, 31 Jan 2013General Motors has added another high-speed education course to the curriculum at the Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch outside of Las Vegas, Nevada. The desert track already hosts the Ron Fellows Performance Driving School with Chevrolet Corvettes, including the ZR1, and they've just added the Cadillac V-Series Academy.
Open now, the one- and two-day performance driving school teaches "the finer points of high performance driving" using the 556-horspower instructional aids known as the CTS-V sedan, coupe and wagon. This is different than than using the CTS-V at the Monticello Motor Club on the east coast - that's part of a sponsorship deal that Cadillac has with the track. The driving course at the Motorsports Ranch is its own program that was developed by Fellows, and we have no reason to think the Cadillac edition won't be just as thorough and enjoyable as the one with Corvettes.
Unlike the 'Vette edition, however, it doesn't appear that you get an invitation to the program if you buy a CTS-V model. Classes are capped at 12 participants and run $1,295 for a single day, $2,295 for two days. There are a video and a press release below with more info.
Former Cadillac boss Butler takes Ford tech job
Tue, 07 Jan 2014When Don Butler made the surprising decision to leave his post as Cadillac's VP of global strategic development, it was a surprise. Citing a desire to "recalibrate, reassess my priorities" in that August announcement, it wasn't entirely clear where Butler - a virtual General Motors lifer after spending nearly 30 years with the company - would end up. Turns out he took a trip to Dearborn.
Butler has taken a position in the newly created position of Executive Director of Connected Vehicles and Services at Ford, where he'll be responsible for the Blue Oval's global connectivity strategy. "Not only does Don understand the connected car landscape, but probably just as important, he understands customer expectations," said Raj Nair, who, as Group Vice President of Global Product Development, is Butler's new boss. "Having a leader with technology experience both inside and outside the industry is a rare combination - we're excited to have Don join our team."
As Ford has received its fair share of flak for the sometimes recalcitrant MyFord Touch infotainment system and its Sync voice-controls, it appears that Butler has his work cut out for him.
