This car sat in a garage for many years. It is a great solid car with no signs of accidents. One of 7 built with this color combination. Has it's original numbers matching motor  WITH 94,116 MILES which runs great but defintely needs valve seals. transmission shifts great. Just had a complete brake job all except for the vacuum booster. New coker radial wide whitewall tires.New dual exhaust system. .Just had the original carburetors rebuilt. Comes with the original air cleaner. ALL THE WHEELS ARE ORIGINAL TO THE CAR and I have the 4 hubcaps getting rechromed with new center emblems. Air blows cold, all windows work except for the passengers wing window, power trunk works, power seats do not work. Paint is old and scruffy but still looks good, has a dent on the panel next to the right headlight. Undercarriage appears to be solid with no rust holes but has some surface rust. Interior is still in the original leather that is coming apart at the seams as seen in pictures. Any other question call Stan 253-209-5798  CAR IS FOR SALE LOCALLY SO AUCTION CAN END ANY TIME!

GM laying off 510 amidst slow Cadillac, small car sales

Wed, 12 Nov 2014

General Motors is laying off about 510 workers from two factories beginning in January, and it could be months before the automaker needs some of that latent capacity to come back on line. A combination of poor sales and high dealer inventories are prompting the cutbacks, according to Automotive News.
The largest changes come at GM's Lansing Grand River plant, where the Cadillac ATS and CTS are made. An entire shift of about 350 workers is being laid off, but the automaker hopes to find positions for some of them at other nearby factories. The decision leaves just a single shift building vehicles there. According to Automotive News, the move is partially spurred by Johan de Nysschen's plan to make Cadillac a more exclusive brand.
The lost shift will likely return for production of the next-generation Chevrolet Camaro at the plant, according to the report, but GM isn't saying when that will be. A previous announcement from the Canadian Auto Workers union indicated that the Oshawa, Ontario, factory would lose the coupe in late 2015 or early 2016.

Cadillac highlights craftsmanship in latest Escalade teaser videos

Wed, 25 Sep 2013

Cadillac, in case you haven't heard, is unveiling the new Escalade on October 7, completing the redesign of General Motors' large SUV range. The event is proceeding with the regular degree of "teasers" and "leaked images" that is typical of the automotive world, nowadays.
As the new Escalade's reveal date grows closer, Cadillac is trumping up interest for the new SUV, debuting five short teaser videos on its YouTube channel. While not showing much about the Escalade itself, the spots reveal plenty about its materials. Real wood and hand-stitched leather are highlighted, while we get another glimpse of the Escalade's vertically oriented headlights. Take a look below for all five spots.

Cadillac boss: Don't ask why we have so many sedans

Tue, Dec 1 2015

Ugh, crossovers. Car-based, high-riding station wagons, for some reason, sell in absurd numbers and make automakers lots and lots of money. That's why automakers with a strong lineup of CUVs are running strong, while sedan-heavy brands are struggling. Cadillac is all too aware of this fact. While the company is preparing to launch the new CT6 luxury sedan, it's also realizing four sedans, a coupe, a crossover, and a $73,000, old-school, body-on-frame SUV does not a healthy lineup make. Worse, though, as Cadillac President Johan de Nysschen rued during the LA Auto Show, is that the new CT6 is joining a segment already oversaturated. While it's a big, expensive vehicle, it's not much bigger or more expensive than the CTS and XTS sedans. "Please don't ask me why we have three cars in the same segment," de Nysschen said, stopping midway through an interview with Automotive News on the CT6's market placement to make the crack. "That's a whole different subject." As for those CUVs, the new XT5 debuted in LA, and it will eventually be joined by another much-needed CUV in 2018, AN reports. Related Video:
