Even up close this car looks like a brand new car...with less than 33,000 miles (currently)....really sharp and crisp Maroon paint is still very shiny with ABSOLUTELY no chips, dings, dents scrapes, or scratches....the glass is still nice and clear as new....chrome and stainless still new looking and I have replaced ALL of the (24karat) "GOLD option" trim pieces with BRAND NEW authentic GM replacement parts....tires are new and the Cadillac "Lace" wheels and the wheel centers are also BRAND NEW, correct and authentic GM....(when I bought it there were chrome wheel covers and frankly they looked stupid)...the optional factory ("Executive Series") mock roof treatment is also totally intact and free of marks, snags, or cuts. The interior is the best part and is truly in amazingly new condition and appears as a new car and, get this---I have owned Cadillacs before but I have NEVER sat in any car seats that were as comfortable as these seats are--and I mean that!!.....I am positive you will notice it too!....The one obvious, glaring discrepancy with the interior photos are the Lloyd floor mats which are cut to GM specs and have the licensed Cadillac logo embroidered on the 2 front mats and are also THE WRONG COLOR (my fault)....but there is a brand new set just like them still in the box in the trunk that are THE CORRECT COLOR...Lloyd mats are the best in the business I think. (Jay Leno puts them in his cars)....This car starts right up and runs and shifts just as smoothly as you'd expect from Cadillac....the whole driving experience is pretty darn nice.....it has a LOT of torque and accelerates extremely quick (multi-port fuel injection)....I will make no apologies for this car and the price I'm asking is a fair one.....and other that the right rear speaker, IT NEEDS NOTHING and can be driven anywhere and when you see it up close and drive it you might agree. I've done all the usual things, tune-up (plugs and wires), pressure cleaned fuel system, changed trans fluid, filter, screen, pressure flushed cooling system....the A/C blows cold and the Climate Control works perfectly and maintains the temp selected. I have no burning desire to sell this car because it's a wonderful automobile-- but cars are a passion of mine and the result is I am moved to buy and sell frequently and I'm ALWAYS (it seems) looking at cars....maybe it's that chase I like eh?

Expensive Cadillac ELR at least comes with free Level 2 home charger
Tue, Jan 28 2014"But wait, there's more!" Anyone who's watched late-night television is familiar with the telltale phrase of a spokesman looking to reel in a potential customer who may otherwise be disinterested in what's being advertised. Now, General Motors, faced with selling the first Cadillac extended-range plug-in vehicle to a public that may find it rather expensive, is throwing in a bonus. In this case, GM will give away a 240-volt home fast charger to "early" buyers of the Cadillac ELR, including professional installation. How early? Well, we're not finding that information in the press release below, so it may be a moving target. Earlier this month, GM said it would offer the ELR for a 39-month lease for $699 a month for qualified lessees. The deal requires $5,999 down and GM originally said it would only be good until the end of the month (though we assume that could change). It's also an "ultra-low-mileage" lease that allows for only 10,000 miles of driving each year, before per-mile surcharges of 25 cents kick in. Last fall, GM set the base price for the ELR at $75,000, before government incentives get factored in. Like its Chevy Volt sibling, the ELR can go about 340 miles using both the electricity in the battery and the gas-powered on-board generator. Check out our ELR First Drive here. Cadillac Enhances ELR Buying Experience Early adopters to receive complimentary home charger and installation DETROIT – Cadillac is offering a complimentary 240-volt home charging station and installation to early buyers of the all-new 2014 ELR electrified luxury coupe. "The ELR's blend of leading technology with provocative design and fun-to-drive performance is set to bring new buyers to Cadillac and to electrification itself," said Uwe Ellinghaus, chief marketing officer, Global Cadillac. "Professional installation of the fastest home-charging unit is a natural way to mark the introduction of ELR to the luxury market." Cadillac is offering the ELR on an ultra-low-mileage, 39-month lease for qualified lessees at $699 per month with $5,999 due at signing after all offers. The Cadillac ELR offers a convergence of luxury, electrification and sporty driving in a premium coupe with dynamic design and an award-winning range-extended electric powertrain capable of 340 miles of total range.
Book by Cadillac is like a streaming service for cars
Thu, Jan 5 2017Cadillac is launching a subscription-based service that gives users access to most of its models for a flat fee of $1,500 a month. Called Book by Cadillac, the program starts in February in New York City and its surrounding areas. Cadillac's goal: attract users who want flexibility without the costs and commitment of ownership. The monthly fee is steep, but Cadillac argues it's competitive with the cost of leasing a well-equipped luxury car. It also includes maintenance, taxes, and insurance fees. The Book service can also be stopped at any time, which frees users from any payments. There's no restrictions on mileage, though users pay for gas either by filling up the car when they're done with it or through a Caddy concierge who bills their account. Cadillac will deliver and pick up the vehicles from the user's choice of location via a white-gloved driver. Users can change vehicles up to 18 times per year, and they can be reserved with a mobile app. The theoretical goal is a Book user could head to the airport in New York in a Cadillac and reserve another one for their use in Los Angeles. Cadillac ran a test program last year and decided to move forward with Book after receiving a positive response on the price and features. "The overwhelming result is this is something competitive," spokesman Eneuri Acosta said. The program features the Escalade, Escalade ESV, CT6, CTS-V, ATS-V, and XT5 decked-out in Platinum trim. Other vehicles, like the non-V-series ATS or CTS could be added if there's demand. Book by Cadillac starts in New York, but will expand to other unspecified markets. Related Video:
GM Super Cruise beats Tesla Autopilot again in latest hands-free test
Wed, Oct 28 2020DETROIT — General Motors' Super Cruise once again edged Tesla's Autopilot in an evaluation of 17 vehicles equipped with active driving assistance systems (ADAS) by Consumer Reports, the testing organization said on Wednesday. A Tesla Model Y fitted with Autopilot finished "a distant second," the group said, to a Cadillac CT6 equipped with Super Cruise, which GM is rolling out to more than 20 vehicles — including its new Hummer electric pickup truck — over the next three years. Safety and insurance researchers have frequently warned of the risks of consumers overestimating ADAS systems' abilities, a misconception increased by some automakers calling their products Autopilot, ProPilot or Co-Pilot. In 2018, the Cadillac CT6 with Super Cruise scored higher than a Tesla Model 3 with Autopilot, in a Consumer Reports test of just four vehicles equipped with ADAS. In the latest test, conducted this summer on a track and on public roads, the Cadillac scored 69 points out of a possible 100, while the Tesla scored 57. A Lincoln Corsair equipped with Ford's Co-Pilot 360 system, finished third with 52. The critical difference in the Super Cruise system is a driver-facing infrared camera to make sure he or she is paying attention to the road and is ready to take over manual control when necessary, said Kelly Funkhouser, head of connected and automated vehicle testing at Consumer Reports. The group noted that Autopilot can shut off abruptly in some situations, while Super Cruise did a better job of notifying the driver when the system is disengaging. In recent European safety testing, a Tesla Model 3 with Autopilot placed sixth out of 10 systems, getting high marks for performance and ability to respond to emergencies, but falling short on its ability to maintain a driverÂ’s focus on the road.
