For sale is this truly perfect condition very rare Black on Black Cadillac Deville 1999 Model with 40K original miles kept immaculate all it's life.

If you are looking to jump back to better days of the CADILLAC DEVILLE and buy a new one, this is as close as you can get! You must see to believe how immaculate this car is. It's been kept garaged it's entire life. No current market price justifies what you get for this money!! Original paint shines like new, no damage, no rust, no scars! Even the headlights still look new, no fading at all. This Caddy is the last of the "Fins" and a great looking car. It has always been pampered kept under a soft cover, in new condition (see pics) and drives perfect with the famous reliable Northstar Engine. The car is so powerful and It is probably the most comfortable car you have driven! I have owned many Cadillac's in my life. I never intended to sell this one ...but business circumstances require that I sell all my toys right now. I am losing lots of money to get this sold now. It will surely jump in value in coming year!!

Whoever buys this mint condition Cadillac will be thrilled with it. It is one of a kind and will qualify as a show quality antique Caddy by 2019. This car is awesome and way undervalued. Don't begin to compare this to other used Caddy's or mention Nada or Kelly book used Caddy values please!!! I don't want to hear it. Anything under $10K is a bargain for such a fine Cadillac Deville in the perfect color combination. ....... If you are one of those people who wishes they could go back in time and buy a new Black 1999 Deville ..then you will buy this car! I challenge you to find a nicer mint luxury car like this on Ebay today anywhere! This beauty was just serviced, oil changed, and is road ready kept in my underground garage in Ft Lauderdale. It has never had any incidents and the car shows perfect other than maybe one or two tiny scratches touched up by the original owner with Cadillac touch up paint. You will have to look hard to find them. The leather interior is amazing, looks and smells nearly new. See for yourself. It has totally clean carfax and has been perfectly maintained. Oil life left is 99% changed this month (every 3,000 miles) so the new owner can jump in, relax, and drive 1000 miles without a worry. The dash display and systems monitor all work perfectly. The dash and wood trim are in New condition. Michelin premium whitewalls are good for this year but with such powerful front wheel drive these Deville's wear front tires twice as fast as the rear. I planned to replace the front Michelins XW4's this year until I became forced to sell. The rear tires are fine. Overall, the car is definitely collector quality and unmatched on the market today.

Mark Reuss: GM can't afford product 'misses,' has 'thought about' CT6 V-Series

Thu, Apr 9 2015

Mark Reuss is a busy man. He oversees General Motors' global product portfolio, an all-encompassing task for a company that sold more than 9.9 million cars and trucks last year. When GM launches a well-received product, like the road-going rocket ship that is the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 – he gets credit. When the company stumbles with the slow-selling Chevy Malibu or grapples with fallout from the decade-old Saturn Ion and its flawed ignition switch, he gets blamed. GM owners, the press and sometimes the federal government, demand answers. Bob Lutz famously held the job before Reuss. So did Mary Barra, who's now GM's chief executive. There's a New GM, but the lineage is connected to a long history. When he's not thinking product, Reuss, an executive vice president, also runs the purchasing and supply chain for the company, which is still one of the largest industrial empires in the world. We caught up with Reuss on the floor of the New York Auto Show, where GM had just rolled out two crucial new products: the 2016 Cadillac CT6 and the 2016 Chevrolet Malibu. Speaking with a small group of reporters, Reuss delved into a variety of subjects, including the new Malibu, Cadillac's future (he thinks the ATS-V is going to "flame the M3 and M4"), and other topics. On fixing the Malibu: "We can't miss. We can't have those kinds of misses [like the previous generation] on our cars and crossovers and trucks. We can't do that. If we do that, we give a reason for someone to go buy something else. It's that simple. "On a car like the Malibu we have a chance to really fix all of that, which we have, and then lead. Then you've got a real opportunity there. So that's what we've really been focused on here – to fix those things." He later added: "We need that car here to transform Chevrolet desperately because it's the heart of the market. And when you think of Chevrolet, people will come back and think about what we did with the [new] Malibu and the Cruze... It's hugely important to us." On Cadillac: "If we go out and try and out-German the Germans, it's probably not going to work. We've got an opportunity here generationally where there's a lot of people younger than me that have parents that drove BMWs and Mercedes, and I think there's an opportunity there for those people to drive something different than what their parents did, and I think that's always been an opportunity in the auto industry if you look at the history of it.

Recharge Wrap-up: Free chargers for Canadian ELR buyers, Renovo gets funding for EV supercar

Thu, Sep 18 2014

Chevrolet offers versions of its Express passenger van with B20 biodiesel and E85 capability. Customers can buy the van with the Duramax turbodiesel V8, which is compatible with the 20-percent biodiesel blend. There is also a FlexFuel V8, which can use the 85-percent ethanol gasoline blend. It's a great option for shuttling the whole soccer team to practice using renewable fuels. Read more at Domestic Fuels. Early buyers of the Cadillac ELR in Canada will get a 240-volt charger installed at their home for free. It should help convince some buyers to adopt the range extended luxury EV. Cadillac's Chief Marketing Officer Uwe Ellinghaus says, "Professional installation of the fastest home-charging unit is a natural way to mark the introduction of ELR to the luxury market." Read more in the press release below. Renovo has received venture capital funding from California-based True Ventures to build its Coupe electric supercar. The impressive EV, with its 500 horsepower and 1,000 pound-feet of torque, is an inspiring vehicle built by a promising company, according to its financial backers. Toni Schneider of True Ventures says that Renovo has "created incredibly advanced technology and a beautiful machine that is well positioned to disrupt the automotive market." Read more in the press release below. Renault says it will build its Fluence ZE electric car in China for an unnamed brand, pending government approval. Chief Executive Carlos Ghosn announced the plan at a test drive event in France on Monday. Renault has a partnership with Dongfeng Motors to build and sell its cars in China. Read more at Reuters. Germany has lifted its ban on Uber. While the German court believes the ride-hailing service is operating illegally without proper licensing for drivers, it says Taxi Deutschland waited too long to file the case against Uber. The taxi association plans to appeal the decision soon. See more in the video below, and read more at The New York Times. A new report from UC Davis claims that a global expansion of public transit could save 1,700 megatons of carbon dioxide yearly and over $100 trillion by 2050. A "high-shift scenario" would be necessary, wherein governments invest in rail and clean buses, expand biking and walking infrastructure and shift focus away from projects that encourage car use. This shift to public transit would especially be important in the US, China and India. Read more in the press release below.

2015 Cadillac ATS Coupe

Thu, 30 Oct 2014

Cadillac has become a very, very different company since the dawn of the new millenium. Its turn-of-the-century lineup, consisting of staid offerings like the Seville, DeVille and Eldorado, represented the Old Cadillac. These cars were plagued with Old GM quality issues and catered to a more elderly audience. Since the company's Art and Science design language arrived, though, we've seen Cadillac flesh out its lineup in a big way, introducing notable and (so far) enduring products, like the the CTS, SRX and most recently, the ATS.
With the CTS tackling the 5 Series segment and the SRX duking it out with the Lexus RX and its classmates, the ATS has been left with the tough task of battling the BMW 3 Series, Audi A4 and Mercedes-Benz C-Class, among others. Critically, at least, it has excelled in this role, but it's still working on finding its feet sales-wise. On paper, broadening the model range by adding a two-door personal luxury coupe could help.
After a week with the ATS Coupe, though, we've found a car that, while retaining the standard model's excellent driving character, doesn't quite offer enough visual excitement to stand up to other cars in its segment.
