1996 Cadillac Deville Base Sedan 4-door 4.6l on 2040-cars
Burbank, California, United States
NO RESERVE AUCTION HIGHEST BIDDER WINS... Please read.... I inherited two vehicles through an estate sale on May 10. I only keep and restore 1960's era vehicles and have no interest nor the room for newer vehicles. These two cars are Way Too Nice for me to donate to the state so I figured I would give someone the opportunity to bid and own these Beautiful cars. Please see the S320 Mercedes Benz from the same owners/estate. This Cadillac was the gentlemen's car and was parked in front of the garage, according to the oil change sticker on the front wind shield (see pic) it was drive less than a thousand miles and parked around 2009. There is a file with some maintenance records. The registration was kept current and fee's paid before the gentlemen's passing and only a smog certificate was needed by the DMV back in March. What I did... I inspected the fluids in the vehicle, put air in all four tires, fresh premium fuel with a Lucas fuel additive, installed a new battery and started. I drove the car to the local car wash to get it detailed, then drove it approximately two hundred miles over the weekend. Yesterday the service engine light came on (which does not surprise me since the car has been parked for a long period of time and must be in need of a Tune-Up) The car runs smooth and silky with less than 44,000 miles. There is a small rattle from up front when going over dips. (I'm guessing sway bar bushings). The inside is Beautiful, with only the dash port which has lifted from the elements of the sun but can be easily glued back and the plastic part under driver seat where the recline button (see pic). The body appears to be accident free and very straight other than the rear passenger door dent (see pic), rear quarter panel dent/scratch (see pic) and a small area of faded paint on the hood (see pic). The car is "sold in as is condition". with a signed and dated May 15, 2014 clear title. Please ask any and all questions. Fly in and drive back home. Again this is a NO RESERVE auction and the highest bidder will own this Beauty. Please tell a friend that might be interested. And please see my other add for the Mercedes from the same couple/estate Thank you and good luck to all..
On May-12-14 at 20:43:38 PDT, seller added the following information: I forgot to mention that I ran the A/C for about five minuets or so and it did not blow as cold as a Cadillac should, so I believe it's low on Freon. Thank you. |

2015 Cadillac Escalade is exactly what you expect [w/video]
Mon, 07 Oct 2013Leading up to the debut of the 2015 Cadillac Escalade, we were told that the new luxo-SUV would be "much less ostentatious" and that we could expect greater differentiation from its Chevy Tahoe/Suburban and GMC Yukon siblings. And while those things may be true to some extent, after digesting the full raft of Escalade information and photography, we can say that this new 2015 model is exactly what we were expecting all along.
No, there isn't a single part of the new Escalade package makes us go "wow" or "ooh," but it still looks like a solid, nicely updated offering that will surely attract the same sort of baller status when it hits the road. For starters, the new front end has been completely redesigned, where cleaner, tauter lines work with the full-LED headlamps and running lamps to create a face that, while familiar, falls right in line with the rest of Cadillac's lineup. Around the sides, the shape is exactly the same as the rest of the SUV's platform mates, with better-fitting body panels and a handsome, upright design. Of course, 20-inch wheels are standard, and hifalutin' 22-inch rollers are available (in chrome, we assume). Things get really interesting around back, where full-LED taillamps extend from the bumper all the way up to the top of the tailgate, and - like the Tahoe/Suburban/Yukon - the rear window wiper has been integrated into the top of the hatch for a cleaner look. It all looks pretty modern and good, but doesn't really tone down the otherwise flashiness of the Escalade package.
Like its predecessor, the new Escalade will be available in standard- and extended-wheelbase formats (bring on the EXT!). Only one engine is available: GM's 6.2-liter EcoTec3 V8, good for 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. Both two- and four-wheel drive configurations will be offered, and the new Escalade should be a bit better to drive than the previous model, with a new coil-over front suspension and five-link rear setup, a wider track, variable-assist electric power steering and Cadillac's Magnetic Ride Control system with Tour and Sport modes.
Cadillac confirms 420-hp twin-turbo V6 for 2014 CTS [w/videos]
Mon, 18 Mar 2013The 2014 CTS will break cover next week at the New York Auto Show, but Cadillac has released a few details of what we can expect to find under the car's hood. As we saw in some spy shots back in January, the biggest news for the midsize Caddy will be a twin-turbocharged V6 producing a whopping 420 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque.
This LF3 engine will be paired to a new eight-speed automatic transmission, which will help balance performance and fuel economy. We still don't know how much the 2014 CTS has grown in terms of size and weight, but General Motors says that new sedan will return 17 miles per gallon in the city and 25 mpg highway with the new engine to go with a 0-60 mile per hour time of 4.6 seconds - that means the new CTS will have the fuel economy close to the current base model sedan and acceleration not too far from the current CTS-V. General Motors also confirmed that this twin-turbo V6 will be available in the 2014 XTS this fall.
The next-generation CTS will carry over the 3.6-liter V6 from the current car (likely as a base engine) and also add the 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder from the ATS. Check out all the details on this new engine and watch a few videos (including GM's nifty tilt rig) by scrolling below.
