"CLASSIC" 1988 Cadillac Sedan de Ville; 4.5 liter V8 in med garnet red metallic w/matching leather interior. * Pristine designer top by "Prestige" Products Corp in white. * Upscale "Custom" chrome grill gives a beautiful formal look to front with perfect fit, and compliments roof line. * This regal automobile is a one owner, senior owned and maintained "Garage Queen". I doubt she's ever seen rain. * Many vehicles claim "low Mileage", but this one, at 47,400. proves less than 2,000 miles per year! Clear title, just smogged pink slip in hand no leaks or rust The interior has of course every feature you'd expect from a top of the line Cadillac. * The rear seating is high backed and plush, with opera lighting that gives a true limo-look and feel with leg room enough for real full grown adults. * The front seating is infinitely adjustable at the touch of a button for both driver and passenger, with center armrests front and rear. The front passenger seat also reclines completely . * This car is also equipped with a automatic self-leveling system which activates when vehicle is started. This automobile will not disappoint, your family will be thrilled to see it in your driveway, and regardless that it's 25 years old, your neighbors will still be just a little jealous. It also has a wonderful true "Celebrity" history that we'll speak of when you call for an appointment to see it. Also could be used as a movie car in a period movie. Inspect all the photos in the ad,.... Then call for an appointment to see it in person, currently garaged in Modesto, Ca. (209) 247-7612 (Bob) (209) 572-4664 (Pete) .....If you look hard enough, you may find a nicer one,.... But it will be in a museum. Note: more pictures available by request.

GM recalling 2013 Buick LaCrosse, Cadillac SRX over transmission software

Thu, 21 Mar 2013

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued recalls for the 2013 Buick LaCrosse and 2013 Cadillac SRX due to a problem with the software for the transmission controller. On about 27,000 SRX and LaCrosse models, the transmission could accidentally be shifted to Sport mode, which would reduce the amount of engine braking drivers experience.
NHTSA says this could increase the risk of a crash, but, fortunately, the required fix is simply an update to the software.
While we're on the subject of General Motors vehicle recalls, a small number (48) of compressed natural gas versions of the 2011 Chevrolet Express are also being recalled for a potential risk of fire or explosion. Yikes. Both official recall notices are posted below.

Cadillac LTS flagship to bow at NY Auto Show

Wed, 06 Aug 2014

There is widespread agreement across the industry that Cadillac needs a proper, rear-drive flagship sedan that completes legitimately with the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Audi A8 and BMW 7 Series.
Fortunately, the same view is held within the company, and just such a car - possibly dubbed LTS - is under development. According to a high-level source at Cadillac, the new four-door, which is said to incorporate design cues from the marque's celebrated Elmiraj coupe concept, will debut at the New York Auto Show next April.
If the car needs a cheerleader, surely incoming president Johan de Nysschen is just such a person. De Nysschen doesn't arrive at Cadillac until late in the month, but certainly he will want a proper flagship to do battle with his old foes at Mercedes-Benz and BMW and old friends at Audi and Infiniti.

Lansing builds its millionth Cadillac

Wed, 18 Sep 2013

Cadillacs are built at plants across North America. The Escalade is assembled in Texas, the SRX in Mexico and the XTS in Ontario. But the bulk of Cadillac's lineup - or the smaller members of the family, at least - are built in Michigan. And while the upcoming ELR will be built alongside the Chevy Volt at the Detroit/Hamtramck facility (which incidentally opened with the Cadillac Eldorado back in '86), the majority of those Cadillacs built in Michigan are handled by the Lansing Grand River Assembly Plant.
In fact, Lansing Grand River just celebrated its millionth Cadillac built. The landmark millionth vehicle is a new 2014 CTS sedan in Red Obsession Tintcoat. The facility opened in 2001 and has built Cadillacs almost exclusively since then, assembling the CTS and ATS model lines, though in a couple of years it will also handle production of the Chevy Camaro.
