Hi, I have never sold a car and do not want to try to sell it on craiglist or do bartering. I have the original 1981 title signed and ready to sell.  I am trying to be honest here, this was my grandma's cadillac and i would not sell it if i did not need the money to pay my rent. Its beautiful and I cant ever have another cadillac that was hers. There is only one and this is it.  I wish I did not have to sell it.

Here is my description:

Very Nice Cadillac. My Grandma bought it new in 1981. Original title from 1981. Was parked in the same garage at their house since 1981.
She drove it to the hair salon, grocery store and church until 2010 when she passed away.
Drove it a few times each year since and stored winters.
Pictures were taken 4/27/14 after pulling it out of the garage.  We took it out for a 1/2 hour ride after it has been stored for winter.
Starts up, runs good and drives and rides like it is a new car.
I dont really like driving it but it drives very easy and cruises right along with little pedal efford. I am 5'4" and so was my grandma.
It has always been maintained well. It has new Firestone tires.
There is a spot of rust on the back driver side door. I took a picture.
Can be seen in Royal oak, MI 48073, 4519 Delemere Blvd.
Please call my friend who has the Cadillac at his building. Call him for questions about mechanical details. 248.89zero.2504 for questions.  It has a v8 and is way nicer than my 2004 monte carlo but it is not my style so i have to sell it.
Must sell in the next 10 days, lost garage storage.  Please plan on being able to pick it up within a week after the bidding ends.
Please bid on it only if you can pay for it.  I just don't have time to deal with someone who cant pay for it but just bid for fun.  I prefer Cash at pick up and see it is what it is.    If you want to have it shipped, I will only accept a bank to bank transfer for payment. I will not accept checks or any paypal payments or money orders.  Thank you.

On Apr-30-14 at 19:05:15 PDT, seller added the following information:

Hello, There is no "buy it now price".  Please I just want to sell the car easily using Ebay and let the highest bidder buy it. I put great pictures up and listed what I know of it.  My grandma has passed away, I did not pay for the car.  I do not want the car.  I just need what ever money it sells for and to have it gone within 7 days after the action. Preferably 5 days actually but ebay has a only a 7 day option for me to pic.  thanks again for reading.

Cadillac previews upcoming new XT5 crossover [UPDATE]

Thu, Sep 10 2015

UPDATE: Cadillac has released another three images, which we've added to the gallery above. Cadillac is gearing up to unveil its new XT5 crossover at the Dubai Motor Show in November. We've already seen what it'll look like - from a couple of angles, anyway - but the all-American luxury automaker has given us another taste of what's to come with a quartet of images released on its official Facebook page. Set to replace the SRX that's now six years old, the all-new XT5 adopts the new design language we've seen on newer Cadillacs of late. That's most particularly emphasized with those vertically integrated LED headlights. The sharply creased styling is also signature Cadillac, as is the egg-crate grille capped by the brand's wreath-less new emblem. The dark brown paint job also looks like it has a deep metallic flake to it, offset by satin brightwork where you might have once expected to see glinting chrome. (Then again, it could just be reflecting a uniform backdrop.) The XT5 is expected to be the first of several new Caddy crossovers to wear the letters XT. A smaller model (likely to be dubbed XT3) is tipped to slot in below, with a larger XT7 to slot in above – but still below the defiantly truck-based Escalade that's not about to go anywhere anytime soon. Sedans will continue to start their nameplates with the letters CT. But after a dozen years, the letters SRX will be retired from the Cadillac lexicon. Related Video:

Petrolicious eats up Rita Hayworth's 1953 Cadillac Ghia

Wed, Feb 11 2015

The automotive industry has seem some wonderful transoceanic collaborations between America and Italy, from the Ford-powered De Tomasos of the 1960s to the alliance between Fiat and Chrysler today. Of course it's also seen unfortunate experiments in between like the Chrysler TC by Maserati and the Pininfarina-bodied Cadillac Allante. But before any of those, there was a beautiful tradition of rebodying American steel at the hands of Italian carrozzerie. And this could easily be among the most gorgeous of them all. It's a Cadillac Series 62 from 1953 with bodywork by Ghia. It's one of only two made, and has a star-studded history. The car was purchased by Aly Khan, prince of the Nizari Ismaili muslims and Pakistan's ambassador to the United Nations, for his wife... who just so happened to be the inimitable Rita Hayworth. They split up, but she held on to the car. Today it's part of the permanent collection at the Petersen Automotive Museum in LA, so the videographical artisans at Petrolicious went by to check it out. You'll want to as well in the five-minute short above.

Cadillac CT6 uses aluminum to save 200 pounds

Sun, Mar 15 2015

In Cadillac's recently launched ad campaign, the luxury brand's tagline is "Dare Greatly," and the two words suggest a brand willing to take big swings, even if they don't always connect. From what the company is promising, the forthcoming CT6 seems like an embodiment of that new motto. With an eventual range of turbocharged engines, reportedly including a turbo V8, a possible plug-in hybrid and streaming rearview mirror, the sedan is certainly pitched as tech showcase. Of course, extensive use of aluminum is practically mandatory to play in the luxury field these days, and Caddy is proving its latest creation can do that too. Despite the weighty appearance of the sedan's squared-off exterior, 64 percent of the CT6 is aluminum, including the entire exterior. Caddy claims that using so much of the lightweight metal sheds 198 pounds off the scales compared to using conventional steel. There still is some steel in the CT6; although it's predominately the high-strength variety. The engineers use the heavier metal for portions around the cabin and B-pillar for added safety. Cadillac also claims using steel "close-out panels" on lower portions of the sedan make the cabin quieter without needing as much sound deadening. The buildup to the CT6's public unveiling has been a long time coming after Cadillac pinned the flagship (for now) sedan's debut at the New York Auto Show nearly a year ago. When the sheet finally comes off on March 31, we get the first good idea about just how great Caddy's latest act of daring really is. Cadillac CT6 Elevates the Science of Mass Efficiency 2015-03-13 Technology DETROIT – Cadillac will use an advanced mixed-material approach for the lightweight body structure of the upcoming CT6 range-topping sedan. The structure is aluminum intensive, but the new Cadillac also includes 13 different materials customized for each area of the car to simultaneously advance driving dynamics, fuel economy and cabin quietness. The CT6 will debut March 31 at the New York International Auto Show and go into production late this year at General Motors' Detroit-Hamtramck assembly plant. "This is the rocket science of automobile construction and manufacturing today," said Cadillac President Johan de Nysschen.
