Up for auction is my 1981 Cadillac Coupe DeVille. This car WAS a 6.0 V-8/6/4, but that motor is long gone. The current engine 500 cubic inch Cadillac engine from a 1974 Eldorado with approx 45K.  Car and transmission have 64,289 original miles. Many upgrade parts in 2004/05; new full exhaust system with new cat and duel tips, Brake pad, rotors & shoes. It has HUGE front and rear anti-sway bars, 1 1/4" in front and 1 1/2" in the rear these are custom made by Matt Adams (Herb Adams son). Rebuilt Carb, new headliner.  This was a project car that was SUPPOSED to be smog except by now but thanks to California's stupid laws that has yet to happen.  Subsequently the Caddy has been rarely driven since 2005.  The DMV is paid thru 7/20/2011, The body is pretty decent, mostly rust free as it been in southern California its whole life. Interior is nice, leather seat in front have some sun damaged but no cracks, rear leather is perfect, carpet is good all around.  Email Matt91304@gmail.com with questions.  NEEDS: paint and master cylinder and Trans OK but will need rebuilt, all three are orig. Needs driver window track repair (Glass is OK) drivers door panel currently off but in excellent condition just like the passenger side.  Car is located in Northridge, CA 91343 and MUST BE PICKED UP on or before April 29th.  Car does run and drive, but tags are out of date and fluids should be changed therefore it needs to be trailered from my location.

Cadillac confirms new flagship to be built in Detroit next year

Fri, 19 Sep 2014

"The objective for this upcoming model is to lift the Cadillac range by entering the elite class of top-level luxury cars." - Johan de Nysschen
Cadillac confirmed Friday morning it will build its new flagship sedan, expected to be called the LTS, starting in late in 2015 in Detroit.

Next-gen Cadillac Escalade debuting October 7 in NYC

Wed, 14 Aug 2013

Cadillac will unveil the next Escalade in October, at an event in New York City. It will be the sole member of GM's large SUV family to not get a debut at the Texas State Fair, which we don't think is all that surprising, considering the kind of clientele attracted by the big Caddy.
The new truck, from the few teaser images and spy shots we've seen, has evolved with the rest of the Cadillac range. We've got a glimpse of its tall, thin headlights, which look like an evolution of what's on the current truck. Expect some kind of egg-crate grille, reminiscent of the new CTS and ATS, while Cadillac's CUE system should feature heavily in what we hope is a thoroughly revised cabin.
The event takes place on October 7, so check back then for more info on the all-new Escalade.

Cadillac's Butler announces surprise departure

Mon, 05 Aug 2013

The Detroit Free Press is reporting that Cadillac's vice president of global strategic development, Don Butler, has resigned. Butler has held the position since April, after a term as vice president of US marketing for General Motor's luxury brand.
As the report explains, the timing here is pretty unfortunate for Cadillac. Butler is the third high-profile member of Cadillac's brass to depart in recent months, following the firing of US sales boss Chase Hawkins and the pending departure of Susan Docherty. Cadillac spokesman David Caldwell told the Detroit paper, "Bob [Ferguson]," global boss for Cadillac, "and other leaders asked him to stay on. Don's here in the office today - and told our team that his decision is purely on a personal level. After three years of putting everything into Cadillac, he is stepping away for some personal time, and to consider new avenues in his life."
Butler says his decision is part of a decision to "recalibrate, reassess my priorities." Whatever the reason, it's an unpleasant surprise for Cadillac, which has been on a surge in 2013, with 30-percent jump in sales on the heels of the hot-selling ATS.
