1967 Cadillac Deville convertible

Up for Auction:

This 67 Caddy convert was pulled out of Kingman Az where it
had been sitting for many yrs and brought to Tucson.
The car has sat here in the Az climate for over 20+ yrs.
Odometer shows 47k on it which could be original.
What we know about the car you cant see in the pics is:
New spark plugs and oil and air filter.
We ran the gas line from the fuel pump to a container of
fuel under the hood, cranked it a few time and it fired up.
The water pump is frozen, so to keep things simple we cut
the old belts off. The motor runs and is actually quiet and
smooth for how un restored or tuned up it is.
We put the car in gear and have moved it around our parking
lot a few times, with no hiccups. Brakes work too.
Someone put 4 new tires on the car about a yr ago.
I suggest checking the fuel tank and maybe clean it out before
just adding gas and hooking the fuel line up to it.
But seeing as the car runs and moves on its own, this makes
shipping much easier and less costly.

RESTORE it back to stock or do something along the restomod
way, or rat rod and have an awesome 1 of a kind car
your friends only wished they had for such a low investment.

OBVIOUSLY this car has seen better days, but its would still be
a great car to restore. Rust on the bottom of both front fenders
and the rear lower part floor boards got the worst if it.
Trunk pan got some too, but honestly if you are doing a mild
restoration you could save it.
Just from water etc sitting in those areas over the yrs. But the
car hasnt seen salt and the frame rails, rockers are solid.
Check out the pics.
These cars are getting harder to find esp in this shape
which is still affordable for the builder.

DRIVETRAIN:  the original motor runs and sounds good.
Last yr for the 429 V8 4v matted to the 3 spd auto.
Motor does have all the AC stuff including PS, PB and
more. It will need a new waterpump and new belts
right away. Maybe just finish the tune up stuff after
that and should be able to drive it. Well check all the
brakes too. But it stops right now, pedal feels normal.

INTERIOR: RED was the original color, cool.
The original is worn and sunbeat. But all the trim
seems to be there needed for a proper resto.
Rear seat bottom is missing. I tried all the PW and they all
move a little when you hit their buttons. So they are getting
power but Im sure the tracks are dry.
Convertible top frame and motor all intact too, making
the restoration less costly. I think the old pioneer 8 track
has been spoken for already.
SO the interior is rough, but a little time and effort could
go a long way during the restoration.

EXTERIOR: Original color was red, and think most of the
paint is original still. I do see where there was some previous
repair to the LR quarter panel near the bumper.
Mild rust compared to an eastcoast barn find making the
deconstruction easier as well as the resto easier.
All the glass is there, but the windshield is original and
cracked on the pass side. Obviously it needs a top and
full restoration.

SUSPENSION: all factory the best I can tell and if its
really 47k original miles, may not need much.
Leave it stock or put some 22" wheels on it.

Check out ALL the pics below ----->

it may take a full minute for them all to load if you have a
slow connection, so be patient AND looks for the extra schroll
bar on the right side.
Az gets maybe 12" a yr of rain and Az very dry climate.
more info AFTER the pics etc. There are 100 large pics.

There you have it, probably The BEST represented Converts on Ebay.

Shows you all the good as well as any bad, hope you appreciate them.
We put a lot of time and effort in marketing our cars and it shows.
People wait months for a car this solid to come up for sale
and even if you have to pay shipping to your area, it still beats
paying a body shop to hopefully fix a rusty car for weeks on end.
Having as much as the original steel on a restored car these days
speaks volumes.

Also, if you buy a car thats been "restored", who knows what sort
of surprises are hidden under new paint or thick undercoating.
People are flipping cars all the time when most of the jobs are
fast, for a quick buck and quality suffers.

Our auctions have NOTHING to hide .
Restore a car like this yourself or locally and you know
exactly what you have in the end.

Email us with ANY questions before you bid please
If you treat yourself to buying one of our vehicles

Doing restoration on this type of project is less labor
intensive which means overall cost is less too !
With less horrid surprises later on.
Dont let auctions with little to no pics try to fool you.
With other auctions,  you really dont know what to expect
until you take the car apart. While we go over our cars ALL OVER
with great pics to help making your decision easier.
Along with ANY other questions you may have.

De Nysschen says Cadillac will be ready for a $250,000 model in 15 years

Fri, Nov 21 2014

Cadillac president Johan de Nysschen has some very, very lofty goals for the American luxury car manufacturer. That's according to a new report from Reuters, where the former Audi and Infiniti exec says that Cadillac is only 15 years away from selling a $250,000 car. "It is too early today for a $250,000 Cadillac," de Nysschen told Reuters at the LA Auto Show. "Fifteen years from now, it won't be." Now, provided de Nysschen doesn't envision a future of hyper-inflation, where an ATS rings up at $200K and a CTS at $225,000, the idea that Cadillac could sell a car worth a quarter-of-a-million dollars in just 15 short years is the very definition of ambitious. That's doubly true when you realize that, at present, Cadillac's most expensive vehicle is the Escalade ESV Platinum, which costs no more than $97,940, while de Nysschen said the upcoming CT6 sedan will be priced "in the 70s." What do you think? Could a Cadillac that costs well over twice as much as the brand's most expensive current vehicle be a reality in the distant future? Or is de Nysschen aiming too high too soon? Let us know what you think in Comments. News Source: ReutersImage Credit: Jae C. Hong / AP Cadillac Luxury cadillac ct6

Cadillac could base its entry-level sedan on the Chevy Cruze [UPDATE]

Wed, Apr 27 2016

UPDATE: Cadillac spokesperson Donny Nordlicht tells Autoblog , "The post speculating on a future Cadillac model derived from the Chevrolet Cruze is completely false." Premium automakers Mercedes-Benz and Audi have seen plenty of success with new small front-drive-based sedans. The CLA-Class had its best January ever this year, while Audi moved more of its new A3 in 2015 than its predecessor sold in 2005 through 2010 combined. The fact that Cadillac wants a piece of that pie is no surprise, then. There's a new rumor that GM's luxury brand could launch its own compact – possibly called CT2 – to battle the Germans. Cadillac, a brand that's pushed hard to rebuild its rear-drive reputation, could develop a new entry-level model based on the front-wheel-drive 2016 Chevrolet Cruze's D2XX platform. Go ahead and make your Cimarron jokes. Sources are telling GM Inside News that a Cadillac built on the Delta platform would ditch the Cruze's turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder for a 1.5-liter turbo in base models. General Motors' well received 2.0-liter turbo four would serve in higher-end models. According to GMIN, the Delta-based Cadillac would likely command a $6,000 to $9,000 premium over the Cruze, so figure $23,000 to $26,000 on the low end to $30,000 to $33,000 for something at the top of the range. As much as we dislike the kind of badge engineering that brought us the Cavalier-based Cadillac Cimarron in the '80s, the company has done an admirable job of distinguishing vehicles on shared platforms lately. A Delta-platform Cadillac would at least have a good basis – the new Cruze is surprisingly comfy. That said, we question GM's rationale if this rumor is indeed true. Put simply, Cadillac needs another sedan like I need another student loan payment. The company has four sedans, three of which overlap two segments, and none of which are selling very well. That's not because they're bad, but because customers want crossovers, of which Caddy has but one – the new XT5. Spending the time and money to add a fifth sedan to the mix when the company desperately needs to flesh out its CUV range would be a tremendous mistake. As much as we hate to say it, if Cadillac really wants to add a small, entry-level car to its range, it'd better be a crossover. Related Video:

Cadillac expects major growth in China

Thu, 25 Sep 2014

The US sales issues facing Cadillac are not being paralleled in the People's Republic of China, as a new report from Automotive News indicates the US luxury maker should see its sales increase by as much as 40 percent.
The report cites Cadillac's own forecasts, which put its 2014 sales in the PRC at 70,000 units after cresting 45,000 vehicles at the end of August. Provided the sales pace holds true through 2015, the brand would hit its new 100,000-unit sales goal, AN reports.
"We're very optimistic about the luxury market, we believe that the luxury market by 2016 here will become the largest luxury market in the world, surpassing even the size of luxury in Europe," GM China President Matthew Tsien told AN. "With [Cadillac president] Johan [de Nysschen], we have somebody that really is an executive that understands luxury, but he also is very, very keen on understanding what do we need here in China for Cadillac to be successful."
