On the auction block is my 64 Deville.  Feel free to email me with questions,
This is a sweet old skool caddy. The door handles have been shaved. Independently controlled air bags on all four wheels, wide white walls. 429 starts and runs great, tranny shifts when it should. This is a great cruiser and gets a ton of looks. The top of the fenders, hood and trunk are pinstripped.  Interior is in great shape.  The cars needs a few small things. I will do my best to make an accurate listing so I dont have a disappointed buyer.  If you have any questions please ask and I will do my best to give you an honest answer.

1.  I have not had any mechanical problems with the car.

2. The car is almost 50 years old, it is not newly restored, it is hotrodded and customized, not original
3. It has no door handles (shaved)
4. Gas mileage is unknown, but its a 5000 pound car with a 429, not a prius, if you are looking for gas mileage, this isnt the car you want
5. The brakes, engine and tranny all work fine.
6. It does have a radio, it doesn not work, I havent looks to see why
7. Lights and blinkers work
8. I have had offers on the car, but I have not taken them,  I will consider offers, but will not entertain lowball offers.
9. The farthest I have driven the car was on a 4 hour trip, I had no problems, but it wasnt the same as my new truck, Its a old car, its a    Cadillac, its big, heavy, and doesnt steer like a Porsche.
10. It does not use excess oil as far as I know, if you leave it parked in your garage for a week there will be a few drips on your floor, I havent looked underneath to find out where they are coming from
I have no doubt whoever buys this car will have lots of fun with it, its a great cruiser and if you have the time and knowledge to do a few fixes you could make some money on it, I just dont have the time I thought I would before we leave. and I have no where to store it.

I bought this car a few months ago and have no complaints. It is very solid and has given me no problems, my wife and I recently decided leave the busy life we had and sell most of the big things we have and travel the world, (yes we are the crazy ones that do that kind of thing)  I wouldnt sell this car except we dont know how long we will be gone, and we have nowhere to store it, (we actually have 2 1964 cadillacs)  anyway, back to the car.  THe paint job is what caught my eye when I first saw this car, its pretty sweet, but it does have its flaws, there are a few knicks, scratches and so forth in it, no dents or anything major, I feel the paint was done 15 years ago or so, so it has normal wear and tear on the exterior.  The engine runs good, I just put a brand new battery in a month ago. The air system works, but if I were going to keep the car I would install another compressor on the tank. Car is very solid, I had it checked out by a body shop and they said it was a pretty solid car, floor, trunk ect are all rust free.
The door poppers have been removed and would need a new set installed, they are $140 bucks from Speedway Automotive I will include that catalog with the car. It is a clear Wyoming title.  I may be able to work out a delivery between Wyoming and Wisconsin as I travel there often.

Please email me with any questions. Chad_Micah@yahoo.com
I do have this car for sale locally, and on a few other places, so I have the right to end the auction early

Please only serious bidders only.  Only bid if you intend to buy, and ask any questions or for additional pictures of things you want to see before you bid.

I have another 64 caddy That is for sale as well, It is a 2 dr Coupe De Ville, It is still original but very solid car the 2 door fires but I havent had the time to get it running good,

1964 Couple De ville  harvest gold in color

Needs windshield and passenger window. Car does fire and run when gas is poured in carb, I have not put gas in gel tank as the car has sat for a number of years with no gas cap, so I imagine the tank needs to be flushed. This car would need a fair amount of work, it is solid, the pass side front fender has some rust ( about 6 inches x 3 inches) as does the rear drivers quarter panel ( size of a quarter)  above the finder skirt. This car was not on the road since 1983. I found it and thought it was very restorable for what I wanted. Window and door motors work, but I planned on rebuilding them anyway for piece of mind. THe interior needs to be redone.  It has 429 motor.  Trunk lock is drilled out because there were no keys, you can replace the cylinder pretty cheap and easy. It has a clear Wyoming title.

Please email me at Chad_micah at  the yahoo dot com if you have any additional questions.

I don't expect these cars to last too long,

I can not attach pics through ebay email, so email me back and I will send you some.
Thanks

Cadillac partners with Saks Fifth Avenue for limited-edition ELR

Fri, 08 Nov 2013

There's no softening the blow with this one - this is the limited edition 2014 Cadillac ELR Saks Fifth Avenue Edition, and it costs $89,500, including $995 for destination. The special model, limited to just 100 units, is part of a holiday season collaboration between Cadillac and luxury retailer Saks Fifth Avenue. In addition to the ELR, there will also be a special "Frozen Escalade" window display at the Saks Fifth Avenue flagship store near Rockefeller Center in New York City, which will feature the 2015 Escalade with functioning LED running lamps that, as the automaker says, "appear embedded and breaking through a wall of ice."
But back to that ELR. This Saks edition plug-in hybrid coupe commands a surcharge of $14,500 over the $75,000 base model that over 85-percent of Autoblog readers polled already feel is overpriced. For that extra coin, you get an ELR wearing exclusive (to this car) White Diamond paint matched with either a jet black or light cashmere interior. Buyers will also receive an upgraded 240-volt charging station complete with professional installation, and the cars come with Cadillac's ELR Concierge service - representatives "trained in white-glove customer care" that serve as an additional point of contact beyond the dealership when it comes to topics like like battery care, charging, service scheduling and news updates.
Folks who order the Saks Fifth Avenue ELR are expected to receive their cars in March of next year. Price aside, we're sure it'll look great parked alongside the Neiman Marcus Aston Martin Vanquish Volante in owners' garages. Scroll down for Cadillac's official press blast.

GM executive chief EV engineer says reducing cost of plug-in vehicles is 'huge priority'

Mon, Mar 17 2014

As we know, another major automaker investing heavily in electrified vehicles is General Motors, and it's doing things much differently than rivals BMW, Ford or Nissan. The Chevrolet Volt extended-range EV is a modest seller at its $35,000 sticker price but a huge hit with owners. The Chevy Spark BEV, still in limited availability, puts smiley faces on its owners and drivers. The just-introduced Cadillac ELR, a sharp-looking, fun-driving $76,000 luxocoupe take on the Volt's EREV mechanicals, has admittedly low sales expectations. With this interesting trio in showrooms and much more in the works, the third vehicle electrification leader I collared for an interview at Detroit's North American International Auto Show (see #1 and #2) was Pam Fletcher, GM's executive chief engineer, Electrified Vehicles. ABG: Why do your EREVs need four-cylinder power to extend their range when BMW's i3 makes do with an optional 650 cc two-banger? "We designed [the Volt and the ELR] to go anywhere, any time" - Pam Fletcher PF: I get that question all the time: why not something smaller? You don't really need that much. You use the electric to its ability, then you just need to limp. But we designed those cars to go anywhere, any time, and we don't want their performance to be compromised. If you're driving through the mountains, we don't want you to be crawling up grades, or to be limited on any terrain. So it's optimized to be able to travel literally the biggest grades and mountain roads around the globe at posted speeds. Because what if you can't? Another good reason: when the engine is on, you have to run it wide open throttle, max speed, most of the time. And while we can do a lot with acoustics, and the ELR has active noise cancelation, a small-displacement, low cylinder-count engine at high speed, high load all the time isn't something you want to live with. That's how we came up with the balance we did among the key factors of performance, NVH [noise, vibration and harshness] and range. ABG: Where you go from here? Is the range-extender engine due for an update? PF: We know and love the current Volt, and there is still a lot of acclaim about it, so we think it's a good recipe. But we are heavily in the midst of engineering the next-generation car, which I think everyone will love and be excited about.

Weekly Recap: Car-pedestrian crashes remained elevated in 2014

Sat, Feb 28 2015

The death of American Horror Story: Freak Show star Ben Woolf served as a reminder this week that car crashes involving pedestrians remain a problem, and a new study issued on Thursday reinforced that the situation isn't really getting better. The Governors Highway Safety Association found a slight decline, 2.8 percent, in the number of pedestrian deaths in the first six months of 2014. Fatalities dropped from 2,141 to 2,125 compared with the same period in 2013, though the association says it's a statistical wash when factoring in undercounting. Deaths are still 15-percent higher than in 2009. "The number of deaths remains relatively high and is cause for concern," wrote Allan Williams, who compiled the report and is the former chief scientist at the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. This is the first look at data from last year, and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration will issue its full-year results later. The GHSA found some progress on the roadways, as 24 states and the District of Columbia reported drops in pedestrian deaths. In some states, the problem isn't even a problem at all: Nebraska and Wyoming reported one fatality apiece, though large population centers in urban areas are where most accidents occur. "This is a clearly a good news, bad news scenario," Jonathan Adkins, GHSA executive director, said in a statement. "While we're encouraged that pedestrian fatalities haven't increased over the past two years, progress has been slow." Other News & Notes Cadillac previews CT6 during Oscars Cadillac previewed its upcoming flagship sedan, the CT6, in commercials that aired Sunday during the Oscars. As expected, the creased sedan carries on Cadillac's recent design language, and the car in the commercial looks like a larger version of the CTS and ATS sedans. The CT6 will be revealed this spring at the New York Auto Show and launch late this year. It will be assembled at General Motors' Detroit-Hamtramck factory on a rear-wheel-drive chassis, and the CT6 is the first car to use Cadillac's revised alpha-numeric naming scheme. The commercials also kicked off Cadillac's "Dare Greatly" campaign, which is the first with its new advertising agency, Publicis Worldwide. Honda unexpectedly changes CEOs Honda unexpectedly announced this week that it will change CEOs. Current chief Takanobu Ito will step down in June and be replaced by company veteran Takahiro Hachigo.
