Cadillac reveals stretched ATS-L in China

In the market for a new Cadillac, but need more space than an ATS can afford? Then you'll want to look at the larger CTS. Unless you live in China, where buyers - often chauffeured instead of driving themselves - seem to prefer a long-wheelbase version of a smaller sedan than upgrading to a larger one. For those buyers, Cadillac has released the new ATS-L.
Based on the existing ATS sports sedan, the ATS-L offers an extra 3.3 inches of rear legroom over the model we get here. As a result, the ATS-L stretches its wheelbase to 112.5 inches and its overall length to 186 inches, while riding a quarter-inch lower than the standard-wheelbase model, which itself was recently updated. That places its length in between the regular ATS and the CTS available Stateside.
Otherwise it's essentially the same sedan, but appears to ditch the base 2.0-liter four to offer either the 2.0-liter turbo four or 3.6-liter V6. Of course this model, produced locally for the Chinese market, isn't likely to make the transpacific voyage to US showrooms, so American buyers will still have to choose between the standard ATS, the larger CTS or the even larger XTS.

Cadillac Ciel concept features in Entourage trailer

Some of us may miss HBO's Entourage more than others, but one way or another, it sure had some cool cars. The characters on the show were constantly trading between Astons, Maseratis and Ferraris – not to mention a smattering of Benzes and Escalades – but one of our favorite sets of wheels from the show's entire eight-year run was the 1965 Lincoln Continental featured in the opening credits. The vintage parade car undoubtedly provided the studio with a great way to showcase the camaraderie between the four members of the title crew, but also made us pine for a time when you could actually get your hands on a four-door convertible. Unfortunately they just don't make 'em like that anymore – not the car and not the TV show in which it featured – but fans of both will be pleased to watch this latest trailer for the upcoming Entourage movie. Not only does it include all the members of the original cast, but it also features Detroit's latest (and arguably most stylish) attempt at reviving the four-door cabriolet: the commandingly elegant and achingly desirable but sadly unobtainable Cadillac Ciel concept of 2011. 2013 North American Car and Truck/Utility of the Year finalists announced [w/poll]

2012 is almost in the books and automakers are spending December gearing up for the 2013 auto show season, which tips off next month at the Detroit Auto Show. Traditionally, the latter opens up with the announcement of the North American Car and Truck/Utility of the Year awards, and this year figures to be no different.
But up until this moment, we didn't know which six vehicles would be parked ahead of the stage as finalists, with executives and engineers waiting for the winners to be disclosed. Whittled down from October's "short list" of nominees (11 cars and 10 truck/utility vehicles), the finalists are as follows:
