LOW MILEAGE~USED HEARSE
We are offering at auction, to the highest bidder, a used 2003 Cadillac Funeral Coach. We are a CADILLAC-BUICK-GMC multi-line franchise GM dealership with a limousine and specialty vehicle division. For the past 20 years we have been offering the best values in new and pre-owned professional vehicles.
The particular HERITAGE HEASE by FEDERAL COACH is back in our inventory for the second time. We originally sold this to a smallish town funeral home. They recently traded this coach for the identical vehicle~just brand new. We would have put this up for auction sooner, but one of our best clients needed to borrow it while their new Lincoln coach was off the road for repairs. They used this hearse for about 2-1/2 weeks and had absolutely no compliants with it's style, performance, or condition.
Since this is a ten (10 year old commercial vehicle it is being sold without any dealer warranties; either express or implied. We invite each and every interested buyer to make an appointment to see this coach before bidding. Are you looking for a scratch, ding, and dent free hearse without a single mark inside or out? We have those; but they are brand-new and will cost about 4 times as much as this used hearse! I have done my best to represent this used vehicle in the pictures as acurately as humanly possible. I am not a professional photographer by any means, and would prefer you view the car in person then just online.
I have personally driven this hearse on both local streets and on the highway. It has an incredibly tight front end, steers, stops, and performs quite well. Since it is a used vehicle I am certain that it will have some cosmetic blemishes but none that would prevent this from going right back into funeral service. You will notice in the pictures that the radio antennae was replaced with a universal antennae. Also, there is either a strobe light burned out or broken. I will do my best to get that taken care of before the car is sold
When this car was taken in trade we sent it to our Service Department. They did everything typical for a 2003 Cadillac DTS including a motor mount (very typical on DTS') rear brakes, filters, and fluids.
PLEASE feel free to ask any questions about the vehicle. But, don't call or email asking for our reserve price, our best price, what we will take for this hearse, etc. This is an auction. Please feel free to bid what you think the car is worth or what you can afford. If your bid is too low you didn't spend any money. If your bid exceeds the reserve A N D is the high bid at the end of the auction you own the coach.
Good bidding!

How GM's grueling 24-hour test gets the kinks out of its performance cars
Tue, 27 Aug 2013One of the biggest challenges automakers face when designing a high-performance car is making sure that it is both fast and reliable. For General Motors, any car that might be taken to the track by its owner - like the Corvette, Camaro Z/28 (shown above) and the Cadillac CTS-V, for example - undergoes a rigorous and strenuous 24-hour test by engineers at the Milford Proving Grounds, as pointed out by Car and Driver.
We've posted on this topic in the past - on a video showing the Camaro ZL1 being brutalized, for instance - but this article gives a more in-depth look at what actually happens behind the scenes... including what that poor ZL1 went through. Though the test isn't for 24 hours straight, the cars are pushed as hard as possible by some of GM's best drivers with only the brakes and tires replaced frequently.
We don't want to ruin the fun for you, but it is an interesting article that tells just some of what GM does to develop its sports cars. Check out the full article over at Car and Driver for the rest of the story.
GM puts e-commerce shopping in car dashboards
Tue, Dec 5 2017DETROIT — General Motors on Tuesday said it will equip newer cars with in-dash e-commerce technology, betting it can profit as drivers order food, find fuel or reserve hotel rooms by tapping icons on the dashboard screen, instead of using smartphones while driving. GM's Marketplace technology, developed with IBM, will be uploaded automatically to about 1.9 million model-year 2017 and later vehicles starting immediately, with about 4 million vehicles across the Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac brands equipped with the capability in the United States by the end of 2018, GM said. GM will get an undisclosed amount of revenue from merchants featured on its in-dash Marketplace, Santiago Chamorro, GM vice president for global connected customer experience, said during a briefing for reporters. Customers will not be charged for using the service or the data transmitted to and from the car while making transactions, he said. "This platform is financed by the merchants," Chamorro said. GM will get paid for placing a merchant's application on its screens, and "there's some level of revenue sharing" based on each transaction, he said. It is too soon to say how much revenue GM could realize from the Marketplace system, he said. The GM Marketplace will compete for customer clicks and revenue with hand-held smartphones, which offer a far richer array of applications than the GM system will at the outset. Amazon.com is partnering with other automakers, including Ford, to offer in-car e-commerce capability through Amazon's Alexa personal assistant system. For example, GM will launch Marketplace with just Shell and Exxon Mobil icons in the fuel category. The only restaurant available for in-car table reservations at launch is the chain TGI Fridays, GM said. In addition, there will be apps for parking, and ordering ahead at coffee shops and restaurants such as Starbucks, Dunkin' Donuts and Applebee's. "We will be adding more vendors," with some coming in the first quarter of 2018, Chamorro said. In addition, he said GM plans to expand integration into its vehicles of music, news and other information services. GM also hopes to use its in-car Marketplace connections to expand purchases of products and services, such as additional access to in-car wifi, from its own replacement parts business and dealer network. Customers can "expect to see more service promotions coming through the platform," Chamorro said. Reporting by Joe WhiteRelated Video:
Cadillac issues stop-sale on recalled CTS, SRX
Mon, 21 Jul 2014General Motors has issued a stop-sale order on the Cadillac CTS and SRX, both of which were recalled late last month. Why the stop-sale after all this time? Well, um, GM apparently doesn't know how to fix them.
The stop-sale covers all used Cadillac CTS sedans, coupes and wagons from model years 2003 to 2013, as well as new 2014 coupes and wagons. The SRX crossover stop-sale, meanwhile, only covers used vehicles from model years 2004 to 2006.
Automotive News reached out to GM spokesperson Alan Adler, who told the news pub that the company's engineers were "looking at one common solution" for the affected vehicles, although "they don't have it yet."
