2011 Cadillac Cts-v Wagon With 700 Hpe Hennessey Upgrade And Corsa Exhaust on 2040-cars
Austin, Texas, United States
$65000 OBO. WOW! One of a kind 2011 Cadillac CTSV Wagon with the Hennessey HPE700 upgrade. This car will do 0-60 in under 3.5 seconds, a 1/4 mile in under 11 at 135mph and, according to Hennessey, will do over 200mph. Not much on the road is faster and it is an absolute blast to drive. VERY LOW MILES, 12,300.If you are looking for truly a one of a kind car that will compete with sports cars that are 10 times the price, this is it. Car has brand new Michelin PS2s with less than 500 miles on them. Car also has upgraded Corsa exhaust and it shakes the ground when idling. IN addition, I will include all original parts and original tires that are still in good shape. No test drives. You wont find another one for sale anywhere.
A 2011 V with these miles will cost you $48-$50k and the Hennessey/Corsa upgrades are $20k. Do the math, this is a great price for a one of a kind car. Also, these cars are quickly becoming collectible so values wont decrease alot. Quote from Future Classics "A small production number does not alone guarantee collectable status, however. Engines usually do, though, and a massive, supercharged V8 would definitely do the trick. The value for money is absolutely staggering, as the Caddy costs roughly the same as a Corvette Z06, but with better performance and an interior that doesn’t make its occupants depressed. And it has room for four, too." Good Luck! |

2014 Cadillac ELR whirs into Jay Leno's Garage
Tue, 18 Jun 2013While Jerry Seinfeld was gallivanting around LA with Sarah Silverman in a Jaguar XKE, our favorite car-loving comedian, Jay Leno, was checking out the all-new 2014 Cadillac ELR. Set to go on sale later this year, Cadillac brought its ELR to Jay Leno's Garage to show off some of its styling and technology as well as give Leno some seat time in the range-extended EV. Leno owns both a Volt and a CTS-V, and the ELR is a kind combination of the two (sort of).
In this episode, Leno spends some time talking to Frank Saucedo, GM director of advanced design, and ELR chief engineer Chris Thomason before logging a few miles on the sleek coupe. Interestingly, it seems that GM has definitely changed its tune a little since the introduction of the Volt a couple years ago; Saucedo and Leno both refer to the ELR as a hybrid, and Thomason says that it gets the "bulk of its propulsion" from the electric motors. Whatever you want to call it, scroll down to watch the latest episode of JLG with some great information and driving shots of the plug-in Cadillac.
Cadillac V-Performance Academy joins free driving school party
Sun, Sep 4 2016Just in case you needed another reason to want one of Cadillac's hottest performers, starting with the 2017 Cadillac CTS-V and ATS-V, the first owner of each vehicle can score a free two-day course at Spring Mountain Motor Resort with the V-Performance Academy. According to Spring Mountain's website, the V-Performance Academy "is designed for drivers of all experience levels and includes dynamic car control exercises, visual skill development, and proper cornering techniques," with "brief" classroom sessions sprinkled in. Driving programs like the V-Performance Academy are all the rage right now. In the last few weeks alone, both Fiat and Ford announced free one-day academies baked right into the price of cars like the 124 Abarth and Focus RS. As with the Ford and Fiat courses, Cadillac is providing the learner cars. But where those other courses call on vehicle owners to shell out for airfare, food, and in Fiat's case, lodging, Cadillac covers tuition – a $2,420 expense for non-owners – along with two nights in one of Spring Mountain's "luxury condominiums" and breakfast and lunch during both driving days. Students are still on the hook for airfare, although Caddy will shuttled attendees from Las Vegas McCarren to the track/resort, some 55 miles away. If you can't shell out for the flight to Las Vegas, a new CTS-V or ATS-V, or simply can't spare two days for a driving school, Cadillac is ramping up for another year of its one-day, traveling V-Performance Lab, which will run at Lime Rock Park in Connecticut and at Circuit of the Americas in Texas. GM to build $1.3 billion Cadillac plant in China
Wed, 08 May 2013General Motors has gotten approval to build a $1.3 billion manufacturing facility for its Cadillac brand in China. China's National Development and Reform Commission signed off on plans for GM to build the plant in the country's Shanghai's Jinqiao zone; construction is expected to begin in June of this year. According to a Bloomberg report, the plant will have an annual production capacity of 150,000 units.
No surprise here, but Cadillac would like to sell a lot more cars in the plush Chinese luxury market. The brand moved only 30,010 cars in China last year, compared with 400k for Audi, and about 330k for BMW. With Cadillac already telling us that it would be moving production of its XTS sedan to China - a production decision that saves having to pay 25-percent import tariffs - approval of the factory is a critical win for the company.
In fact, according to earlier comments by GM China president Bob Socia, it's at least conceivable that Chinese-built Cadillacs could be shipped back to the US for sale. The brave new world of globalization, getting stranger by the minute.
