Murrieta, California, United States
1992 CADILLAC ALLANTE CONVERIBLE. CAR IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. ALWAYS GARAGED SSINCE I PURCHASED IT IN 1994. HAS BEEN IN STORAGE FOR SEVERAL YEARS. HAS NEVER SEEN SNOW OR SALTED ROADS. NO KNOWN MECHANICAL DEFECTS. RUNS AND DRIVE GREAT. THIS CAR IS A YELLOW PAINT EITHER 55 WA9814 OR 57 WA5303 SPECIAL ORDER OUT OF TEXAS. I HAVE BEEN TOLD BY ALLANTE ENTHUSIASTS THAT IT IS A ONE OF A KIND ORIGINAL PAINT, BUT HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO CONFIRM THAT INFORMATION THROUGH GM. COPY OF EMAIL VERBATUM FROM GM VINTAGE SERVICE. "I SEE THE PAINT CODE LISTED FOR YOUR CAR WAS A SPECIAL ORDER, SO NO OFFICIAL RECORD EXISTS OF THE ACTUAL COLOR. THERE IS A SERVICE PARTS ID LABEL ON YOUR VEHICLE WITH THE WA PAINT MIX CODES ON IT, THEY SHOULD CORRESPOND TO ONE OF THESE 2 YELLOWS THAT WERE OFFERED ON CADILLAC IN 1992, BUT AGAIN AS IT WAS A SPECIAL ORDER COLOR WE CANNOT TELL. LIGHT CANYON YELLOW CODE 55 WA9814 CANYON YELLOW 57 WA5303." AFTER TRYING TO RESEARCH THE COLOR MYSELF AND ATTEMPTING TO LOOK UP TOUCH UP PAINTS FOR 1992 ALLANTE, THERE IS "NO" YELLOWS OF ANY SHADE LISTED. SO..... THERE WERE BARELY OVER 12000 ALLANTES BUILT IN TOTAL FOR THE 7 YEARS THEY WERE IN PRODUCTION.
I AM SELLING THIS CAR FOR A FRIEND. HIS EMAIL IS PARADISEGRAYB@YAHOO.COM. PLEASE REFER TO HIM AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE FOR QUESTIONS WHENEVER POSSIBLE. Cadillac teases production ELR ahead of Detroit Auto Show
Tue, 18 Dec 2012General Motors has just confirmed that the 2014 Cadillac ELR will make its official debut next month at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. We've already seen the ELR testing earlier this year using the same range-extended electric drive system as the Chevrolet Volt, and based on the shadowy image above, we're happy to see that the coupe's styling has stayed pretty true to 2009 Converj Concept.
The two-door ELR will be built alongside the Volt at GM's Detroit-Hamtramck plant starting later next year. Aside from this info, Cadillac has remained tight-lipped on the specific details of the car. But all that will all change on January 15.
Until then, all we have to offer you is the press release posted after the jump.
Almost half of US Cadillac dealers say no to ELR plug-in hybrid
Wed, Feb 19 2014If you've got $75,995 (or so) burning a hole in your pocket and a hankering for the new Cadillac ELR, you'd better call your local dealer before you burn up shoe leather and gasoline to head down there. According to a report on Edmunds, only about 56 percent of the brand's 940 dealers have signed up to carry the premium plug-in hybrid. As much as we'd like to see the more affluent among us driving on electricity, we can certainly understand the dealers' apparent lack of enthusiasm. The article cites costs of up to $15,000 for tools and training to sell the ELR. Show floor real estate is another consideration for dealers who aren't enthusiastic about sacrificing space for a for a vehicle with initial sales – just 46 units nationwide in the first two months, but that volume is expected to increase – that are as mediocre as our first drive impressions. Still, for those locations that co-habitate with Chevrolet dealers who already participate in the Volt program, the extra expenditure shouldn't be too onerous. The two vehicles share the same basic electro-mechanical drivetrain, so those dealerships should have most of the needed infrastructure already in place. The bulk of ELR sales, according to Cadillac's global marketing director Jim Vurpillat, are expected to be in along the coasts, in places like California, Miami and New York. Cadillac shows 2015 Escalade interior
Tue, 01 Oct 2013Following the reveal of the new GMC Yukon, Chevy Tahoe and Suburban, the next in line is Cadillac, which is set to unveil the new Escalade on October 7 in New York. And in the lead-up to the reveal, the company has released this third teaser image, giving us a good glimpse of the 'Slade's interior.
Or part of the interior, we should say, because while the image above clearly shows the new dashboard and center console, as well as parts of the front seats and interior door panels, the Escalade is most certainly not a two-seat coupe. The outgoing Escalade can accommodate up to eight in either standard or ESV form (but not in EXT pickup configuration), and the new model promises to deliver the same, and we're curious to see what Cadillac has in store for the rear passenger compartment.
Compared to its more accessible counterparts, the new Escalade clearly offers a more upscale environment than even the uplevel Yukon Denali, with softer-looking leather, richer wood veneer and a waterfall center infotainment console that's different from the more modular design in the Chevy and GMC. The steering wheel is also unique and the instrument cluster appears to meld more smoothly across the dashboard, but the door mirrors, wide center armrest, column shifter and A-pillar grab handle all look like they were carried over from the Escalade's platform mates.
