North Olmsted, Ohio, United States
This is a rare case of a buick muscle car.the only power option ordered on this car is power brakes.this car is one of 422 4speed G.S. convertibles made in 1967it has undergone a complete frame off resto. with the frame powdercoated, along with the core support.frt, fender liners and crossmember.it shows and functions like a 32k car.numbers matching engine was professionally rebuilt to fact.specs and runs extremely strong,it has to my knowledge the original 329 open ended rear diff. with an date coded muncie 4 speed you can decode vin to show original 4 spd car.when this car was purchased by me it had been stranded in a closed body shop for some years and was stripped down to bare metal and was so dry it never even had surface rust on body and had no rust holes in any metal.every suspension component has been replaced incl.rear boxed control arms and rear sway bar.this car has a new power top that operates as it should. This buick also has its original power drum brakes incl.frt.aluminum drums and another one of a kind touch the original starwars style air cleaner. This car presents a rare oppurtunity to own a low mileage very rare red 4-speed convertible that rides and drives like new with a 340 h.p. 400 cu.inch powerplant that has more than enough acceleration and the smooth ride of a buick.I have driven this G.S 400 2000 miles since completion and don't even carry a screwdriver in the car it is that reliable.Ihave worked in car dealerships for almost 40 years and have done almost any job related to the auto industry and know how to describe a car accuratly.this car is fabulous to look at and the undercarriage is as stunning as the exterior.that being said this car is a driver and is a tru 7 out of a 10 and is the only one like it i have seen after going to car shows for 2 years in it.dont miss a chance to own a rare and beautiful convertible 4speed Buick! PSA's purchase of Opel from GM is expected to be finalized soon
Sat, Mar 4 2017PSA's purchase of the Opel/Vauxhall division from General Motors is expected to be officially announced on Monday, according to The New York Times. PSA, the parent company of European automakers Peugeot and Citroen, will reportedly hold a joint press conference with GM in Paris to announce the deal. GM has worked as part of an alliance with PSA in Europe since 2012. The deal could be a big boon for both companies. For PSA, the addition of Opel and Vauxhall into its fold would catapult the automaker into second place behind Volkswagen for European marketshare, and would allow the company to spend research and development costs across a greater number of vehicles. And GM, which has struggled in recent years to turn a profit with its European division, would be able to focus more squarely on the areas where it's most profitable and to invest in future technologies like automation. But the deal isn't without its potential pitfalls, primarily for PSA. GM hasn't been able to make a success of Opel and Vauxhall, and it's not a sure bet that PSA will, either. What's more, the addition of Opel and Vauxhall doesn't expand PSA's reach any further into new markets, like China or India. The NYT cites data from Ferdinand Dudenhoffer, a professor at the University of Duisburg-Essen in Germany, showing that 70 percent of PSA and Opel business is done in Europe, a market that has been shrinking since 1999. We'll have to wait a few days to see exactly how the deal between PSA and GM will be structured. We're also curious to see how the loss of Opel may affect GM's lineup in the States, especially for Buick, since the company's Regal sedan is based on the European Opel Insignia. In other words, stay tuned. Related Video:
