1972 Buick GS Stage 1- GSX Tribute 350/350 Restored, Rally’s Hood Tach.

This is a clean and restored 1972 Buick GS Stage 1 that has been turned into a GSX Tribute vehicle. This car is the real-deal, numbers matching Buick GS Stage 1. The "GSX" package was added to the car at the time of the restoration so this should really be considered a clone or tribute car. This rare factory GS Stage 1, features the correct fully functional "Ram Air" hood with functional scoops, a fully functional hood mounted tachometer, the correct GSX rear spoiler and of course the correct stripes, decals and emblems including the correct GSX grill and dash emblems.

The Buick is in great condition overall and runs and drives great. Will need some minor things addressed at some point if you want a perfect car. The car was restored over 10 years ago and although it still looks great, there are minor issues with the paint work that are worth notating. For example, there is a small dent in the passenger front fender that chipped off the paint and there is some minor bubbling just above the rear wheel wells, bottom of one door and some other minor spots. The car also has several small nicks and chips in the paint from the past ten years of usage. None of the above mentioned effects the function of the vehicle and there are no actual holes in the body, but the car is not completely flawless and it's an older restoration. The paint is still very bright and shiny.

The vinyl seats are power although not currently hooked up. At the time of restoration, the carpet was replaced, the dash pad recovered, a new wiring harness was installed as was a new headliner. The car has factory power steering and power disc brakes, front and rear sway bars, manual windows, manual door locks. The factory installed A/C is still in the car although not currently functioning. All other components of the A/C system are there (compressor, accumulator, evaporator, and condenser) so getting the A/C functioning again should be fairly simple. Fuel gauge not working but a new sending unit is included with the sale.
.
The motor is the correct, number matching small block 350-4 backed by the original TH-350 automatic transmission. The car retains all of its correct factory components with the exception of an Holly 650CFM carburetor. A new battery has been installed along with new rotors new brakes on all four corners, four shocks, four brand new BFG Radial T/A tires. The car starts with a simple tap of the starter and truly has great street manors. The motor runs smoothly and very strong and the transmission shifts through all the gears as it should. Both the motor and transmission were rebuilt at the time of the restoration although the exact mileage is unknown. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere!
.
The windshield wipers are currently not working. I have not spent any time trying to diagnose the problem; it may simply be a blown fuse. The speedometer cable is not currently plugged into the back of the cluster.  There are aftermarket oil pressure, water temp and voltage gauges that all work as they should.

If you have any questions or would like to see the car in person, please call 904-268-1356.  Will consider all offers, cash plus trades , please emails pictures and information about your trade. Seller reserves the right to end this auction at any time.

2017 Buick LaCrosse First Drive

Fri, Aug 5 2016

The 2017 Buick LaCrosse seems destined to never get the credit it deserves. It's bound to be dismissed as just another full-size sedan relic, ignored by those who habitually visit their Lexus dealer every few years for a new ES. This new LaCrosse will inevitably be overshadowed in the Buick showroom by SUVs and never fully appreciated by the majority of its buyers who simply want a big, comfy, and quiet car. That destiny would be a shame. The completely redesigned LaCrosse is now a legitimate luxury car, not because advertisements say it is, but for the way it drives, the way it looks, and the way it cossets you inside. The former is really the most impressive, since it's also the most surprising. During the LaCrosse press launch in Portland, Oregon, Buick boasted how comfortable and exceedingly quiet the car is, and indeed, it isolates road imperfections and allows for a pair of low talkers to converse in subdued tones. The big Buick sedan's low-effort steering will also satisfy the nice-and-easy tastes of most drivers. The best way to describe driving the LaCrosse is "unwaveringly pleasant." Yet, during that pleasant drive, road dips and mid-corner undulations don't make the comfort-tuned suspension bob and bound like its competitors might. Its body control and generally planted nature encourage speeds and confidence to creep ever so higher through successive sweeping corners on Oregon's densely forested Mist-Clatskanie Highway. Even that low-effort steering demonstrates precision, linearity, and just enough feedback to further spur on such a pace. This unexpected capability is best observed on cars equipped with the optional 20-inch wheels, which supplant the standard 18s and, more importantly, bring with them Continuous Damping Control (CDC) and GM's HiPer Strut front suspension, which is designed to quell torque steer and further improve cornering grip. You don't even have to engage CDC's firmer Sport mode to appreciate the LaCrosse's surprisingly sharp road manners. "We unleashed the engineers," chief engineer Jeffrey Yanssens said after our test drive. "I told them, 'I don't care how much it costs. I want you to know your system and I want your system to be the best it can be. What do you have to do to make that happen and what can I do to enable you to make that happen?'" Yanssens is honest and clearly proud of his team's work.

Kia Telluride vs Buick Enclave Luggage Test | What actually fits behind that third row?

Fri, Jan 10 2020

So, you want to buy a three-row crossover. Before plunking down $40,000 on a new sport utility vehicle, might we dissuade you with the prospect of minivan ownership? The Pacifica Hybrid, perhaps ... no? Fine. Good thing crossovers (especially the Telluride and comparable Palisade) are so nice to drive these days. We’ll assume you want the big three-row crossover, as you intend to seat folks in all three rows. Unfortunately, raising that third row reduces the luggage area from cavernous to crawl space. ItÂ’s rather devastating from a pure numbers perspective to the two models we have today. The 2019 Buick Enclave goes from a monstrous 58 cubic-feet with the second-row in place down to 23.6 cubic-feet (which along with the nearly identical 2020 Chevrolet Traverse is still best-in-class). Meanwhile, the 2020 Kia Telluride takes a similar hit, going from 46 cubic-feet down to 21 cubic-feet. Just looking at the numbers, it would seem that the EnclaveÂ’s big advantage all but disappears with the third row up, boasting just 2.6 cubic-feet of storage more than the Telluride. But as West Coast Editor James Riswick has discovered in the numerous luggage tests he's conducted, the numbers don't always tell the whole story. Let's see how the Enclave and Telluride compare when you actually put things inside.  Boom. The Enclave swallows all of the test luggage we have for it without any fuss. The distance between the back of the seats to the hatch opening is enough to fit our full-size suitcase horizontally, making it easy to stack every other bag around it. It even fits below the seatbacks, so the driver will have an uninhibited view out the rear of the vehicle.  At our Michigan HQ, our test luggage consists of the following pieces: 28-inch upright suitcase, 24-inch upright suitcase, 19-inch upright suitcase, two small tote bags and one backpack. ItÂ’s likely enough luggage for a quick weekend getaway with the family, given there are no strollers involved. As we attempted to pack it all into the Telluride, weÂ’re glad we didnÂ’t have anything else. The loss of 2.6 cubic-feet of space was indeed felt much harder than what it looks like on paper. We knew we were in trouble when the 28-inch suitcase didnÂ’t fit along the floor as it did so neatly in the Enclave. We were forced to stack it up next to the rear seats, which left it sitting rather tall back there. As a result, the other suitcases didnÂ’t have a neat or convenient place to go.

VW ID.4, the new Buick Envision and crossing Hyundai's N Line | Autoblog Podcast #668

From there, they get into Greg's time with VW's game-changing new ID.4 electric crossover. Byron then talks about his time with two very different new vehicles: the 2021 Buick Envision luxury crossover and the 2021 Hyundai Sonata N Line, which may or may not be a sport sedan. Finally, they tackle a fascinatingly complex twitter question: What is the best 'economy' muscle car?
