Hi, I'm selling my 1994 Buick Roadmaster Limited sedan. I have done a lot of work to this car. To those unfamiliar with it, it is the same as a chevy impala SS or caprice from the same year. It has the Lt1 350 V8 (corvette) engine with an auto trans. Trans was replaced with a Jasper rebuilt about 1 year ago. In addition I have replaced the rear axle diff with a good possi one. It's fun to drive, super comfortable, surprisingly fast, and handles great for a car this big! This car MOVES, and the best part is it's invisible to police. The ultimate sleeper car! Super cheap to insure also! Here's what I have done to the car:

Jasper rebuilt Transmission
B&M megashifter (ratchet shifter)
Hooker Super Competition Shorty Headers
Pypes Violator Cat-back exhaust
4:10 rear axle ratio
Replaced limited slip differential
New axle shafts and bearings
New Battery
New 160 degree thermostat
Hypertech power tuned to run on premium gas
New front control arm bushings
New rear tubular lower control arms
New rear tubular adjustable upper control arms
Eibach lowering springs
New 1 1/4 inch rear sway bar
New larger MAF sensor
Air condition delete pulley
Fresh 5/15 inspection

All parts were put on less than 3 years ago and have less than 5000 miles on them. This car has over $6000 in parts alone. I encourage everyone interested to check it out for themselves and test drive it, you will not be disappointed! Also, this is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end auction early. Thanks and happy bidding!

38k GM eAssist hybrids recalled for circuit board, fire risk

    Mon, 06 May 2013

General Motors has issued a recall covering 38,197 2012 and 2013 model-year Chevy Malibu Eco, Buick LaCrosse and Regal sedans equipped with eAssist, and sold in the United States. The automaker will check the generator control module for proper operation. Only vehicles built before December 2012 are being recalled.
According to the automaker, a malfunctioning generator control module could slowly drain the battery, causing an indicator to light up in the dash. If that indicator is ignored, the driver may experience a stalling engine, and in some cases, "a burning or melting odor, smoke, and, in rare instances, a fire in the trunk."
GM says the issue is not with the eAssist battery pack; the smoke and fire comes from overheating of the control board. One trunk fire has been reported, but no injuries are known. Scroll down below for the official press release from GM.

Next Opel Insignia to adopt sleeker looks

    Fri, Aug 21 2015

The very first set of spy photos of the next-generation Opel Insignia have dropped, giving us a look at the more svelte, aggressive, and stylish look of the popular sedan. As a reminder, the Insignia is sold here in the United States as the Buick Regal. There's only so much we can discern from these photos, thanks to the very heavy camouflage. But we can get a look at the new Audi A7-like roofline, which our spies citing similarities to the Opel Monza concept car from the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. The Monza link fits with our previous reports, which claimed the gullwinged wagon would serve as a prime source of inspiration for both the Insignia and US-market Regal. Aside from the significantly redesigned sheetmetal, Opel is also increasing the size of its flagship sedan, adding nearly four inches between the axles. According to our spies, the goal is to build a vehicle comparable in size to the Skoda Superb, a roughly Volkswagen Passat-sized sedan based on the VW Group's MQB platform. What's most interesting for US customers, though, is the body style shown here. Like the aforementioned A7, the next Insignia will be offered as a five-door model, rather than a traditional sedan. The five-door hatch would later be joined by a traditional wagon. It's unclear whether the US market Buick will take a similar route, or whether General Motors will demand a four-door variant exclusive to North America. Check out the spy photos above, and keep an eye open for more on the next Insignia/Regal. Don't plan on seeing it at an auto show any time soon, though. It's not slated to debut until the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show.

The importance of Angel Eyes, Ventiports and four round taillights

    Sun, 01 Sep 2013

Just the other day, we told you about how Lincoln isn't really a luxury brand, according to Ford's head design man, J Mays. His argument was that Lincoln lacked the unique DNA to differentiate it from the rest of the market, although the arrival of the MKZ is beginning to change that. Now, we have this video from Autoline Detroit, where Jim Hall, an analyst for 2953 Analytics who was quoted in yesterday's Lincoln story, explains the influence of certain styling cues and how they impact the brands.
Using BMW (Angel Eyes) and Buick (Ventiports) as examples for small, simple touches that serve to distinguish the brand's vehicles on the road, Hall then points out how changing trademark styling features, as Chevrolet has done on the new Corvette Stingray, can hurt the vehicle's public perception. Take a look at the full video below for an interesting dive into what these styling features mean to their individual brands.
