Murrysville, Pennsylvania, United States
Please check out all 70 pictures below.
I have been a dealer for 20 years specializing in special cars. I have found a car of this quality only a handful of times out of the couple thousand I've bought. I bought this Gorgeous Roadmaster last Friday from a dealer of specialty cars. He purchased it from the ORIGINAL owner. The lady that owned this car was obviously in love with it. She kept this car in IMMACULATE CONDITION!!! The "Preservation or Original" class at any serious car show , is the one the people love most. THEY ARE ONLY ORIGINAL ONCE!
IBOUGHT HER WITH ONLY 49,900 ACTUAL MILES!!!! If you check my "ME" page, you will see the caliber of show winning cars I have sold here on Ebay. Antique cars with 300 and 400 miles. I sold a 30 year old Lincoln once with 00008 miles!!! I love these special old cars. The reason I was attracted to this Roadmaster, was not only it's unbelievable condition, but because it can be a whale of a daily driver and a car you can be extremely proud to own when you take her to the car cruise this weekend. SHOW AND GO! I just cannot express how rare it is to find paint, brightwork, body and interior like this. The paint shows that it was kept in the garage. No environmental stains in the paint. No rust on the body. BRIGHTWORK FROM HEAVEN. IT REALLY STILL GLOWS! Never smoked in. Never soiled much less stained. The Dove Gray velour is just immaculate. The hood is not all chipped up. In fact the few stone chips that I could find, had long since been touched up. 1 lady owner with all the records! See the pics of the record book! New inspection last week including oil change. The tires are absolutely excellent with no issues THIS CARS RUNS, SHIFTS AND DRIVES WITHOUT FLAW. I drove it 175 miles since Friday and it didn't pull, squeak, rattle or vibrate. The air conditioning blows ice cold. I could not find a light or control that didn't work. I found only two items that need addressed. The antenna does not want to go down and the power trunk pull down is not working. I will check out both tomorrow and see if I can straighten them out.
The miles maybe just over 50,000 by the end of the week. I am going to drive her while I can! The frame is rock solid. The under carriage is untouched, so if you wanted to spray some preservation paint or coating, I think it would be a good idea. Lighter than typical surface rust on the cast parts are evident.
I COULD GO ON AND ON ABOUT THIS BEING THE BEST OLD BUICK AVAILABLE FOR YOU TO ENJOY, BUT JUST LOOK CLOSELY AT THE 70 HIGH DEF PICTURES. THEY TELL THE STORY.
1 Lady owned car in pristine condition with complete records! What more can you ask for? I guess you could ask to buy it from someone with an impeccable reputation for selling great cars at great prices and making his customers happy. 15 years of 100% positive feedback. Read through my feedback and see if my customers are happy with the deal, the cars, and me. Bring back the Bronco! Trademarks we hope are actually (someday) future car names
Tue, Mar 17 2015Trademark filings are the tea leaves of the auto industry. Read them carefully – and interpret them correctly – and you might be previewing an automaker's future product plans. Yes, they're routinely filed to maintain the rights to an iconic name. And sometimes they're only for toys and clothing. But not always. Sometimes, the truth is right in front of us. The trademark is required because a company actually wants to use the name on a new car. With that in mind, here's a list of intriguing trademark filings we want to see go from paperwork to production reality. Trademark: Bronco Company: Ford Previous Use: The Bronco was a long-running SUV that lived from 1966-1996. It's one of America's original SUVs and was responsible for the increased popularity of the segment. Still, it's best known as O.J. Simpson's would-be getaway car. We think: The Bronco was an icon. Everyone seems to want a Wrangler-fighter – Ford used to have a good one. Enough time has passed that the O.J. police chase isn't the immediate image conjured by the Bronco anymore. Even if we're doing a wish list in no particular order, the Bronco still finds its way to the top. For now (unfortunately), it's just federal paperwork. Rumors on this one can get especially heated. The official word from a Ford spokesman is: "Companies renew trademark filings to maintain ownership and control of the mark, even if it is not currently used. Ford values the iconic Bronco name and history." Trademarks: Aviator, AV8R Company: Ford Previous Use: The Aviator was one of the shortest-run Lincolns ever, lasting for the 2003-2005 model years. It never found the sales success of the Ford Explorer, with which it shared a platform. We Think: The Aviator name no longer fits with Lincoln's naming nomenclature. Too bad, it's better than any other name Lincoln currently uses, save for its former big brother, the Navigator. Perhaps we're barking up the wrong tree, though. Ford has made several customized, aviation themed-Mustangs in the past, including one called the Mustang AV8R in 2008, which had cues from the US Air Force's F-22 Raptor fighter jet. It sold for $500,000 at auction, and the glass roof – which is reminiscent of a fighter jet cockpit – helped Ford popularize the feature. Trademark: EcoBeast Company: Ford Previous Use: None by major carmakers.
Buick dusting off Grand National, GNX and T-Type nameplates
Mon, 26 Nov 2012Inside Line reports Buick is planning to bring back some of the more storied names from the company's past, including the Grand National, GNX and the T-Type. Those cars rose to prominence in the 1970s and '80s to become performance legends of their day.
The new models will reportedly make use of the rear-wheel drive platform that currently underpins the Cadillac ATS and all would arrive as sedans - according to an unnamed source familiar with the initiative. Odds are the T-Type and the Grand National would share a driveline, with honest money being on a new twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter V6 as the engine of choice. Word has it the mill will be good for anywhere from 350 to 400 horsepower.
That leaves only the GNX. Inside Line seems to think that machine could get down the road with some help from the all-new GM LT1 small-block V8. The engineers behind the ATS platform have already told us the engine bay is large enough for to accommodate the big eight pot, and since GM is most certainly working on an ATS-V, a slightly less powerful, less luxurious Buick iteration makes some kind of sense. We can't wait to see these things in the light of day.
Buick tops in Consumer Reports' annual brand rankings
Wed, Feb 25 2015Buick is the first US-based automotive brand to crack the top 10 in Consumer Reports magazine's annual brand report cards. US automakers also placed three vehicles on the magazine's list of "top picks" for vehicles, the first time that's happened in 17 years. The rankings were unveiled Tuesday in the magazine's annual auto issue. Buick placed seventh in the brand rankings. But the brand rankings and top picks still were dominated by Japanese and German manufacturers, with Lexus, Mazda, Toyota, Audi and Subaru taking the top five brand spots. The magazine calculates each brand's overall score with a composite of its vehicles' road-test scores and reliability scores for each model in its annual survey of subscribers. It's the third year for the brand rankings. Porsche placed just ahead of Buick at number six, while Honda, Kia and BMW rounded out the top 10 brands. Mercedes-Benz, Acura and Infiniti all suffered precipitous declines in their rankings due to unreliable new models or poor road test scores. Mercedes fell out of the top 10 to 21st, while Acura dropped from number two to 11 with an unimpressive test of the new RLX sedan, the magazine said. In the model rankings, the top overall finisher was California-based Tesla's Model S electric car, for the second year in a row. The Model S, which cost the magazine $89,650, finished first due to its performance and technical innovations, the magazine said. Buick's Regal midsize car beat the BMW 328i as the top sports sedan, and the Chevrolet Impala was named the top large car. The model rankings show Consumer Reports' favorite among the 270 vehicles its team has recently tested. The rankings are closely watched in the auto industry, since shoppers consistently cite Consumer Reports as a main source of car-buying advice. Other top picks included the Subaru Impreza in the compact car category, Subaru Legacy in midsize cars, Toyota Prius as the best green car, Audi A6 luxury car, Subaru Forester small SUV, Toyota Highlander midsize SUV and the Honda Odyssey minivan. Japanese vehicles won six of 10 top pick categories, but that was the smallest number in the 19-year history of Consumer Reports top picks. "For years domestic automakers built lower-priced and lower-quality alternatives to imports, but those days are behind us," said Jake Fisher, the magazine's director of automotive testing. But other U.S.-based automakers still had problems.
