Up for Auction is a 1937 Buick Roadmaster. This is a really cool car with great body lines. Car has clear MO. title. This car is a roller. It is the complete body frame and chassis. This would make a great hot rod or rat rod. body and floor are very solid. Front floor boards were wood, They were not rotted out but used on other car. Easy to make metal ones. but from drivers seat back were all metal. The car was used for parts for a very rare pheaton. It douse not have a moter trans drive shaft. or steering colum . It has cmplete front seat, back seat was used in other car.The turn signals were doners but head light bezels are still there. Also still has running boards.Front bumpers wer also used on other car. The only rust i have found was the two inner fender wells about a 2x 3 hole on each one. easy fix. i was going to mini tub and nothch the frame to lower it so those would have been cut out any way. alll doors are mounted and complete. The trunk lid is thier and in great shape, but hinges and hardware also used on other car. Thier are some great after market ones available. outside door handles were used on other car.all the inside handles are thier . gauges were used in other car. Like i said its a roller. any questions please give me a call. Body was completley sand blasted then primered. The primer has kept the rust off. But was not don well so it is flaking off in many spots. that is what you see on the car. its not rust. This would make an excellent hot rod or if you wnted to restore all the basics are thier. I am getting a divorce so car has to go. You can part this car out and triple my buy it know price on your return.
I am unable to return calls on the weekend . If you call during the week i should answer the phone or leave message and i will get back to you. car can be seen if you give me a heads up. i will make arangments for it to be shown. car has been stored inside during last several owners. and is currently in a climate controled garage. I can store the car for a short time but full payment must be made within 5 days of the end of auction. Down payment is not refundable, and please contact me about the storage before the end of the auction . If you need more pics i can email them to you. I will not sell any parts off this car. If you only need specific parts , buy the car take them off and sell the rest of the car. The hood and nose are worth my reserve price.. Black Friday could power record November sales
Thu, Nov 26 2015Black Friday allows some shoppers to line up in the wee hours for doorbuster deals on laptops and TVs, but the day after Thanksgiving could mean huge profits for automakers this year, too. Multiple industry analysts predict record growth for the industry for November, and the upcoming incentives could help those numbers. TrueCar predicts that Black Friday incentives could provide a major boost, and it estimates a November sales jump of 3.9 percent from last year to a record for the month at over 1.35 million vehicles. As examples of potential deals, Chevrolet, Buick, and GMC plan to offer up to 20 percent off some models, and FCA US has no-interest financing for up to 75 months from its brands. "Consumers are excited about Black Friday promotions and these month-long events appear to be resonating with car buyers." Eric Lyman, TrueCar's vice president of industry insights, said in the report. Black Friday only recently became a big day for auto sales, according to an analysis from Edmunds. Last year, Thanksgiving weekend posted double the sales as any other weekend in the month. The company predicts a sales volume of over 1.33 million vehicles for November. If that happens, it would be the beat the previous record of 1.32 million sales for the same month in 2001. Some forecasts temper the gains for November but only slightly. Kelley Blue Book predicts flat year-over-year sales at 1.3 million vehicles, but that's largely because there are two fewer sales days in 2015 versus in 2014. "Black Friday deals on vehicles have grown in popularity in recent years, and should be a big contributor to this month's sales results," said analyst Tim Fleming in the study. The combined research from J.D. Power and LMC Automotive have the lowest November prediction among this group at just over 1.279 million sales for the month versus 1.299 million in 2014. However, once the researchers adjust the figures for the two fewer selling days, 2015 could actually be seven percent higher than last year. TrueCar Finds New Auto Sales in November to Reach Monthly Record Black Friday promotions bolster sales gains; industrywide incentives up 6% from last year November 24, 2015 12:11 PM Eastern Standard Time SANTA MONICA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--TrueCar, Inc. (NASDAQ: TRUE) projects total new vehicle sales, including fleet deliveries, will reach 1,352,500 units in November, a 3.9 percent increase from a year ago and the highest ever for the month.
GM SUV window switch recall urges owners to park vehicles outside
Thu, 07 Aug 2014It's not unusual for there to be a lag between an automaker announcing a recall and the official documentation showing up on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration website. So it's no surprise that a recent GM campaign took about a month to appear in its official capacity. However, there appears to be some big differences between the two reports with potential safety implications.
In late June, GM announced that it needed to recall 181,984 examples of the Chevrolet Trailblazer, Buick Rainier, GMC Envoy, Isuzu Ascender and Saab 9-7x from the 2005-2007 model years, plus the 2006 Chevy Trailblazer EXT and 2006 GMC Envoy XL. The new documents paint a slightly different picture with 184,611 needing repaired and different model years listed.
The reason for the fix is still the same, though. It's possible for fluid to contact the master power window switch module in the driver's door, which can corrode the part. Eventually this could cause a short circuit, leaving the buttons inoperable and potentially leading to a fire. But the new NHTSA documents add an important note: "A fire could occur even while the vehicle is not in use. As a precaution, owners are advised to park outside until the remedy has been made."
GM expanding Lansing Lambda CUV plant
Thu, 30 Oct 2014Considering that crossovers are a rapidly growing portion of the US auto market, it's not surprising to hear that General Motors is preparing to build even more of them. The company is investing $63 million to expand its Lansing Delta Township Assembly plant that builds Lambda platform CUVs like the Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia and Buick Enclave.
According to GM, the expansion will add roughly 263,000 extra square feet of space to the plant. Of that, 181,000 square feet will be for an updated body shop with cutting-edge robots. There will also be 54,000 square feet of additional room in the paint shop and 28,000 square feet of more area for general assembly.
GM isn't saying as much, but there is the possibility that this extra space could allow for additional models produced at the factory. Cadillac reportedly dropped plans to build a three-row SUV on the Lambda platform earlier this year, however, dealers for the luxury brand were recently pitched the possibility of adding large and small CUVs, an ATS convertible or a sedan below the ATS.
