You are biding to purchase a 1995 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon that has been driven on average less than 5,700 miles per year, far less than 15,000 the industry average. These miles are certified thru Car Fax,Auto Check, the prior owner and without question the remarkable condition of the vehicle. These are the kind of miles you would normally find on very pricey 2008 and 2007 models but very rarely on a 1995.

                                           *************************

In these difficult and unpredictable economic times we feel the fairest way to sell this vehicle is to let you the buyer set the price, yes you. After all isn't that the best way to buy,you price it?

                                            ************************

The Buick Roadmaster has been named the #1 full size wagon in its class and rightfully so.With its steller reputation for excellent engineering, ability to rack up numerous miles, safety rating, generous fuel mileage @15 mpg city & 23 mpg highway along with that famous BUICK RIDE it remains at the head of the class, exactly where it belongs..

                                              ***********************

We find this very handsome wagon clean from front to rear with minimal cosmetic imperfections (dings-dimples-scuffs ect).We see no corrosion on the doors, fenders, panels or underneath. All lenses, trim and moldings are clean and straight. The winshield is clear and clean showing no stone bruises, cracks or wiper mar.The beautiful  light sandstone finish still waxes to a deep luster.(Obviously garaged  most of the time). There are a very fresh looking set of all season steel-belted radials riding on the original factory alloys that show no road or curb rash. The full size spare and rim with all jacking hardware are present and stowed properly. The interior is as crisp and clean as you are ever likely to find on any vehicle of this vintage. We see no signs of abuse or neglect and absolute minimal wear.It is quite evident that this vehicle has never been smoked in,eaten in or used to carry pets.It is so refreshing to see that the prior owner took real pride in ownership.

                                         *****************************

Mechanically this vehicle will not disappoint in any way.The well proven 5.7L v8 mpi fires to life with the click of the key coming to idle at specs. We see no oil leaks or smoke around the block or from the exhaust. On the drive the acceleration is strong, the automatic over drive transmission shifts on point thru the gears and the track is true and straight. The brakes stop the vehicle confidently with no pull or shudder. The climate controlled air conditioning works quietly while producing excellent cooling throughout. We see no issues with the power windows, power locks, power seats, cruise control, heat, defrost, original sound system or safety features. It is without question that this vehicle has been on a strict regiment of preventive service and if continued by the next fortunate owners they can expect many miles and years of trouble free service.

                                             *************************

Whether you need a great family vehicle,a versatile vehicle that can serve many needs or a great addition to your collection this handsome guy is up for the task. Please keep in mind vehicles of this vintage in this condition with these kind of miles are few and far between and are rarely offered on a no reserve auction but are normally passed down by a senior family member.Don't miss this unique opportunity to own this ''one of a kind find''that will surely appreciate in value in the coming years.Without question this is a very wise investment. Please understand that this is not a show car but we feel it is cleaner than 99% of any you may find of this vintage.

The 2018 Buick Regal is now a hatchback and a wagon

Wed, Apr 5 2017

Buick has long been General Motors' most traditional brand. With the launch of the 2018 Regal, it's now arguably GM's most risk-taking brand. Buick is turning its midsize staple into a hatchback, called the Regal Sportback, and a wagon, the Regal TourX. Revealed Tuesday afternoon at GM's historic Design Dome in Warren, Mich., the cars will go on sale in the fall after next week's public debut at the New York Auto Show. "At Buick we can try things other people haven't tried," GM product chief Mark Reuss said. The wagon – though Reuss was reluctant to call it one – is a longer (3.4 inches), higher-riding (0.6 inches) version of the Regal Sportback. It's the first Buick wagon since the 1990s Roadmaster, and it's aimed at the seemingly never-satiated crossover market in the United States. View 12 Photos The TourX will compete against the Volvo XC60 Cross Country, Audi A4 Allroad, Subaru Outback, and BMW 3 Series wagon. The Buick offers up 73.5 cubic feet of storage space behind the front seats and is all-wheel drive only. Power comes from a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder making 250 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque that teams with an eight-speed automatic transmission. "It's something that is very different and very beautiful, and it's a good alternative for Buick to try," Reuss said. The Sportback, meanwhile, offers the same four-cylinder and eight-speed trans as the TourX in AWD trim. The Sportback also offers a front-wheel-drive model that uses a four-cylinder paired with a nine-speed automatic, and the engine is rated at 250 hp and 260 lb-ft in that setup. With swoopy creased styling, the Regal Sportback offers a slightly different riff on the crowded sedan segment, which GM says still has three million annual retail sales. On a side note, Saab fans might feel some old wounds at the sight of the hatchback Buick, as the 5-door 9-3 was axed by GM in an attempt to make the model more mainstream before the brand's demise. Both models will offer front pedestrian braking, lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, OnStar and seven-inch or eight-inch touchscreens with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. As expected, the Regals are based on the Opel Insignia, and they will be built in Ruesselsheim, Germany. Reuss said GM plans to build the Regals there after the company sells Opel to PSA. He also said GM isn't concerned about potential border/import taxes that could be levied by the Trump Administration. "I don't know what the border tax is," he said.

Even if GM does close all 5 of those plants, it'll still have too many

Wed, Nov 28 2018

DETROIT — General Motors' monumental announcement on Monday that it will close three car assembly plants and two powertrain plants in North America and slash its workforce will only partially close the gap between capacity and demand for the automaker's sedans, according to a Reuters analysis of industry production and capacity data. Sales of traditional passenger cars in North America have been declining for the past six years and are still withering. After GM ends production next year at factories in Michigan, Ohio and Ontario, it will still have four U.S. passenger-car plants — all operating at less than 50 percent of rated capacity, according to figures supplied by LMC Automotive. In comparison, Detroit-based rivals Ford and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will have one car plant each in North America after 2019. The Detroit Three are facing rapidly dwindling demand for traditional passenger cars from U.S. consumers, many of whom have shifted to crossovers and trucks. Passenger cars accounted for 48 percent of retail light-vehicle sales in the United States in 2014, according to market researchers at J.D. Power and Associates. This year, sedans will account for less than a third of light vehicle sales. That shift in turn has left most North American car plants operating far below their rated capacities, while many SUV and truck plants are running on overtime. The collapse in passenger-car demand is a challenge for nearly all automakers in the United States, including Japan's Toyota and Honda, which have the top-selling models in the compact and midsize car segments. Toyota executives said last month they are evaluating the company's U.S. model lineup. But Toyota also plans to build compact Corolla sedans at a new $1.6 billion factory it is building in Alabama with partner Mazda. The obstacles facing GM in its plans to close more auto factories became apparent on Tuesday as U.S. President Donald Trump threatened to block payment of government electric vehicle subsidies to GM. While it is not certain that Trump unilaterally has the power to do that, he made it clear he intends to use his office to pressure the company to keep open a small car plant in Ohio that GM says will stop building vehicles in March.

As GM readies Alexa convenience for vehicles, we ponder its dark side

Thu, Dec 19 2019

SEATTLE — On the 30th floor of AmazonÂ’s glass tower, in a room with a breathtaking view of downtown Seattle, thereÂ’s a beautiful bed that nobody sleeps in. ItÂ’s near a kitchen nobody cooks in, a living room couch that no one crashes on, a kitchen table that doesnÂ’t host any family meetings. ItÂ’s AmazonÂ’s Smart Home Lab, a place where every Alexa-enabled gizmo the company or its partners can produce is crammed into the same space, ostensibly for Amazon to test. The company invited us there to show us the companyÂ’s vision for consumer products to leverage AlexaÂ’s voice interaction software before taking us down to a demo of its latest implementation in a Buick Encore GX. In this eerie simulacrum of a fantastic luxury apartment, however, nothing went right the first time. ItÂ’s a challenging environment for Alexa to work correctly, our hosts noted, pointing to the fact that there were six wifi networks available for the devices to connect to. In a normal home, one wifi network controls all the devices, who can theoretically sort out for themselves which one youÂ’re actually trying to activate. In the Smart Home Lab, any unmuted Alexa device thinks itÂ’s in charge. Even so, the connected toaster wouldnÂ’t connect. The Fire TV Cube wouldnÂ’t play a song. Our handlers futzed with everything, muting and unmuting devices, repeating commands, making us feel better about our own struggles with similar technologies. If it doesnÂ’t work right at Amazon HQ, maybe itÂ’s not just us! ItÂ’s telling that down on the faux lawn, in between the gleaming Amazon spheres that host a billionaireÂ’s tropical garden and the Day 1 building that the Smart Home Lab resides in, the BuickÂ’s Alexa implementation doesnÂ’t use a “wake-word” at all. The familiar Push to Talk button on the steering wheel, which normally activates General MotorÂ’s own proprietary voice command system, can be set to default to Alexa when that rolls out to GM vehicles in the first half of 2020 via an over-the-air (OTA) update. Given the reluctance of Alexa to respond to its wake-word in the comfort of AmazonÂ’s own lab, we hoped that this was by design. Drivers are already familiar with Push to Talk, and a physical button is more reliable than the vagaries of contemporary voice recognition – not to mention the privacy and accuracy issues involved with always-on mics. Our experience with the not-ready-for-primetime Mercedes-Benz MBUX system is illustrative.
