1983 Buick Riviera Convertible, No rust original Texas car, my father found this car in Hemmings Motor News in 1995 and went
to Dallas to pick it up. It was carport kept there and has been garage kept since. He replaced the rubber bumper extensions with
fiberglass ones and had it painted. New top was installed at some point,has no stains or tears and still looks new.Top works great! Back window is nice also.
This was his baby and never driven in rain.Car has been driven very little the last couple years. I drove it about 50 miles to my home, it ran fine.Washed off the dust.
Tires are old don`t know if they will go another 50 miles or 5000. All chrome and trim is in excellent condition,to my knowledge car has never been hit.
Paint is still nice but it does have some small nicks and 2 small dents in drivers door. Again,there is no rust in this car and it shows very well. New
tires and you have a very nice driving car.

GM recalls 500K Chevy Camaros for ignition-switch defect
Fri, 13 Jun 2014General Motors issued a recall for more than a half million Chevrolet Camaros on Friday morning because of an ignition-switch safety hazard that mirrors the one at the center of the company's current crisis.
The problem affects Camaro models from the 2010 to 2014 model years. Approximately 464,712 cars are impacted in the United States, and 511,528 overall in North America. GM will alter the Camaro key to a more standard design, and will notify car owners with a recall notice in the mail.
In an announcement, the company said the ignition switches on the Camaros are fundamentally different parts than the older ignition switches found on defective cars that are responsible for killing at least 13 people and causing 54 crashes.

This process gives you access to the the software's code, and can be used to make minor or drastic changes to its operating system. CarKnow, a company in Boston, is working applying a similar concept to the automobile.
Translogic recently took a look inside CarKnow to see just how it can tweak the computers inside a car and what sort of things can be done. As our transportation tech sister site explains, CarKnow basically created a digital duplicate of their Buick Regal in the cloud, while harvesting data generated to create custom apps and infiltrate the deepest function of their test car.

GM's bid to rationalize Europe will impact the products that will be offered domestically.
It seems that Europe is defining the future of General Motors more so than its home North American market. Having axed Saturn, Pontiac and Hummer, GM has done a fairly good job of repositioning its remaining four divisions, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Buick and GMC. Cadillac carries the luxury banner. Chevrolet is aimed at the masses with cars and trucks along with a nod to performance thanks to Camaro and Corvette. Buick bridges the premium gap between Chevy and Cadillac, while GMC offers a hardcore work/upscale proposition.
